We stayed for a sweek during August 2013, and were in the ground floor 2 room apartment at the rear right of the site. (apartment #5 I think). We slept in the lounge/kitchen room, and our 3 children (between 4 and 10 yrs old) each had a bed in the other room. It was kept nice and clean and, whilst very basic, the apartment had all we needed for breakfasts and preparation of occasional simple meals. The owner was welcoming and helpful. The grounds and pool are well maintained, and since there are only a few apartments (6 or so), it is quite a relaxing spot. Stathis and Aphrodite at the bar/taverna are very pleasant and they did a spit-roast pork specialtiy bbq evening a couple of times a week with a couple of excellent local guitarist / singers performing from 9ish until late into the night. Prices were a little firm, but good quality food. The Aeolos is only a short walk (<1KM) from Kalamaki beach, and there are many tavernas, bars and shops nearby. Highly recommended compared to other places we saw in the resort.

Last August in Kalamaki we passed by Aeolos and heart the music. Two guys singing and playing guitar quite well. We sat on the nearest wall for some time and the next thursday we had made a reservation and spend all the night there. We enjoyed the performance, the food and the atmosphere a lot. And we went back once more. Andreas Milas, Dionysis Yiatras and the bouzoukiplayer!!!... thanks for the music. Afroditi Petta and the staff ... thanks for the food, the dance and the fun.

We stayed in a studio apartment at the Aeolos Resort for 5 nights in July. We chose the location as it was a bit out of the centre of Kalamaki as we wanted somewhere within walking distance to restaurants and bars but where we could sleep in peace; which was fine for 4 of the nights, however on one night the hotel decided to hold a 'pool party' which went on from 1am-5am and was extremely loud full of teenagers drinking shots and messing about, such a shame as the rest of our stay was lovely. The room was pretty small and cleaned 3 times during our stay but nice basic kitchen where we cooked one evening. We could both just about fit on our tiny balcony without falling off the edge! Kalamaki was a nice area and we loved renting a scooter for one day and exploring the island, the restaurant opposite the resort was lovely and a stunning sunset view from Cave Bar.

Just returned from a wonderful fortnight at Aeolos, the accomodation, gardens and pool are excellent, as are the staff, Aphrodite, Stathis and Joanna. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and by the time we left, like part of their family, they even surprised us with a cake for my husbands birthday. The apartments are beautifully decorated and large enough for a family with 2 teenage daughters, the pool bar and grill provided all we could need drinks, cocktails, great company, Stathis amazing barbeque and some very deilcious chocolate tequila. Would love to go there again, my only complaint...not to able to stay a little bit longer.

Room Tip: Lovely small resort on the quiet side of Kalamaki, close enough to walk to beach and restaurants but...

We had a reservation for July 2013. We picked this place based on the pictures and the other reviews. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were horrible. We parked out front which is what most people do until they are checked- in and told where to park, but before we could get out the car, we were yelled at to move our car. Next we walked into the reception area and we were greeted by a chain smoker who lit up and made a phone call instead of saying hello or I will be with you in a moment. Finally, a third lady came and showed us the room and made as if she could not speak English. When we realized that the room; on the ground level right in front of the pool, was nothing like the pictures, she had no problem telling us we would have to pay for the entire stay. she then left the room. As you will notice, all the pictures are taken at night, so they can hide the real version of their hotel. The lot in front of our door was filled with goats and all you could hear we barking dogs. When we went back to talk to the first man, he made the comment that we could talk if we had sometime else than a complaint to speak of. WOW, what an experience. We had been in Greece for 10 days and had not meet anyone like this threesome. Needless to say, we found a better and more hospitable place to stay.
