My husband and I have just returned from hotel maralen in Zante, what a relaxing week we had, lovely welcome from Julie and Teresa nothing was too much trouble, the hotel grounds were immaculately kept and hotel was lovely and clean, jacuzzi was a welcome touch when you needed a cool down from the hot sun. We went as a couple but the rep and kids entertainers were excellent with children of all ages and teenagers had their own chill out area there really was everything at this lovely hotel, food was lovely in the resteraunt and snack bar well done maralen keep up the good work will deffinately return.

Had a fabulous holiday at the Marelen. Couldn't fault the complex, we had a 2 bedroom apartment which was kept clean and had adequate cooking facilities for a holiday The Kids clubs were good and the complex staff very helpful and friendly as were the reps and entertainers. There is a great splash pool for the kids with slides and water fountains and a kids section of the main pool which is quite deep. We didn't eat there as we like to eat out and are many lovely places to eat in Kalamaki about a 10 min walk away and the prices are very good at the moment. Is a bit annoying as all the 'touts' try to get you into their restaurants as you walk along though! The sandy narrow beach is about 5 mins with a bar/restaurant. There is some aircraft noise but we enjoyed watching the planes coming in and out and didnt see it as a problem at all. I would reccommend arranging any trips in town as much better value for money than those sold by Thomas Cook and widely available as is car hire. Would reccommend this complex and resort to families.

We stayed here from 24th May for 10 nights. I was on holiday with my partner, 8 yr old son and my brother, his wife and their 2 children aged 6 and 9. It was a perfect hotel especially for families with children.
It is near to the beach (5 min walk) and the splash pool with slides at the hotel was a big hit with the kids.
The staff were fabulous, really friendly, Julie and Teresa on reception were really friendly and helpful, Nic and Vassi behind the bar were great, we felt like regulars after a few nights!
Geri at the kids splash pool bar was so lovely, the kids sat at the bar having drinks and ice creams whilst watching scooby doo on the television and she made them feel so welcome.
The rooms were of a good standard and cleaned every day, the towels were also changed as often as you wanted ( we put them in the bath when we wanted them changing).
The breakfast was really good with plenty of choice, we ate at the hotel a few evenings and the food was excellent (especially the lemon meringue pie!) My only criticism was that the kids club was operating the mini club and entertainment on the stage which was in the same room as the dining room and it was too loud to have a conversation whlist eating. I feel it would be of benefit to have the kids club further away from the dining room as I felt it probably detered people, especially those without kids from eating at the hotel at night.
That said the entertainment team were really good, especially Lee and Sian, the kids loved them and really enjoyed the X box connect party night.
We tried a few of the local restaurants and would highly recommend Paolos, we also walked along the beach a few times to eat at Zeppos which was also excellent and had lovely sea and mountain views, we got a horse and carriage ride back which for the seven of us worked out cheaper than 2 taxis and the kids loved it so highly recommend this too.
All in all a fab holiday and we would all love to come back asap, I can see why so many people visit this hotel year after year, looking forward to becoming one of the regulars!

Room Tip: Room 329 overlooks the pool and was lovely and sunny in the afternoon.

Decent rooms, small but ok for used for sleeping in!
Excellent splash pool fun play area for small kids, with a nice snack bar there.
Decent large pool with seperate kids pool. Hotel was not full, and mainly English folk there.
Loud entertainment on an evening till about mid night, als Thomas cook team providing activities during the day.
Excellent position for the beach, and pedlows can be hired here (10 Euro for an hour)- get one about 4pm and look for the turtles!
Hotel does optional breakfasts and evening meals you can book the day before.
Clean, rooms tidied up daily- to a high standard.
Excellent english staff at reception and on snack bar in splash pool- couldnt do enough for you!
I would have no hessitation in recomending this hotel.

Room Tip: When booking ask for a room with afternoon sun on the balcony.

Would highly recommend this hotel to all. Pool and fun pool are great for kids. It is only 100 yards to the beautiful kalamaki beach and 10 minute walk to nearest shops and restaurants. Rooms at the hotel are basic but clean and to a nice standard. Would recommend booking self catering if you want breakfast or half board you can buy on arrival which works out cheaper than paying when booking.breakfast is buffet style which caters for all tastes from full English to croissants. There is a poolside bar that serves food all day, burgers, pizzas, sandwiches, ice creams, crisps etc all at very reasonable prices. Rooms are cleaned 6 days a week and you get fresh towels everyday. Can't really comment on the night entertainment as we were out every evening at the array of restaurants and bars along kalamaki road. Would highly recommend the Artemis restaurant and the Olive Tree both fantastic and good value. The hotel overall was great - friendly and very well maintained. The gardens around the hotel were beautiful. You will be very well looked after by Theresa and Julie on reception, nothing is a problem for them we hope to return soon.
