Stayed here with our youngest and had a great time. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable, the grounds and gardens are extremely well kept as are the pool areas, the fun and splash pool is great for kids with lots of activities put on for them also. Breakfast was good and food from the poolside snack bar was also very good especially the special pizza :-) didn't eat at the hotel in the evening as there was so much choice just a stones throw up the road so can't comment on that but never heard any complaints. Beach just a short walk away as was the resort centre with plenty of bars and restaurants to chose from. The staff are friendly and welcoming the manager is English so no language barrier to overcome should you have any issues but I doubt you will to be honest. In summary a fantastic place for a family holiday I for one am usually one of those people ready for home but would of quite happily stayed a few more days and wish I had.It is close the end of the runway but the airport closes overnight so not really an issue. The only concern I have is the showers, they are on a mixer tap not a thermostat so keep an eye on kids showering if they turn the cold tap off the hot is very very hot and could scald.

Yes I would and will go back hopefully again this year and in a bigger group.

DO NOT pay extortionate tour operator transfer fees It's 13 euro for a taxi each way Thomas Cook wanted nearly £80 for the 3 of us to share a coach with other people and all the extra waiting and messing around that comes with it. Taxi is 10 mins in an air conditioned Merc :-) be first at the hotel and beat the check in que you will be unpacked and round the pool before the rest arrive.

Stayed at marelen for 5 nights at the end of June with my boyfriend and another couple. Excellent organisation on arrival. Rooms basic but clean and just what you need! Pool area was really good - table tennis and tennis courts also good if you are sporty! Its a stones throw away from the beach and a short walk to the main strip. Olive tree resturaunt and yamas were excellent, also drunk corner excellent for watching sport with 10+ screens to watch!! We stayed bed and breakfast and breakfast was good with a range of hot full english and cold breakfast selection, cakes and pastries and really nice bread! Would recommend and would return again!

Thank you for your positive review.
As well as table tennis and tennis, we also have a multisport court for basketball, football etc.
It was nice to read you were so pleased with our breakfast selection. Our bread is baked fresh daily.

Nice and quiet place offering self catering to full board. Unfortunately a few extras to pay when you get there like air con, safety deposit box and TV remote. Also no free wifi which was disappointing. Rooms were nice and can fault the cleanliness. Ate there a couple of night's and food was ok. However if you want something a bit cheaper and nicer head up to the main road where most places also have free wifi. Would probably have spent more money there if the bar was as cheap as up on the main road. Excellent kids entertainment with plenty to do and always able to get a sun bed by the pool. It is away from the busy main road as well and close to the beach.

Room Tip: ring or email a few days before hand to ask if there are any rooms high up if you want a view.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
The Marelen offers self catering, bed and breakfast, or half board, although a varied lunch menu is also offered from the poolside snack bar.
The extras you mention are all outlined in the tour operators brochure as the rooms are not contracted to include them.
The tv remote is a refundable deposit.
We would welcome any feedback from you regarding our food menu.
We hope to see you again in the future.

We stayed for 2 weeks with relatives at the beginning of June and had an absolutely amazing time. In those 2 weeks we had an engagement and a 1 year olds birthday(what an amazing place to spend your 1st birthday!) The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout the whole resort! Very clean and tidy and rooms everything you need for your stay. So lovely having breakfast every morning to fill us up before a day around either the main pool or kids splash pool! Pools were great and very clean.
The kids club and entertainment staff were great and my 7 yr old was asking every day to go to kids club-felt at ease leaving her in their care! Very friendly and full of enthusiasm. My 2 yr old wanted to jump up on stage every evening with the entertainment staff and loved having a dance with them! Although she was a tad scared of dizzy and shades! He he!
Really would love to book again. Thanx to all the staff there for making it a great holiday.
