“THE BEST LITTLE HOTEL ON THE ISLAND”
Reviewed 29 July 2011

This hotel is superb, provided that you like a quiet setting. It is typically Greek, small, nice well kept grounds, simple rooms and accommodation, a good pool. Your hosts, Vicky and Augustine, go out of their way to make sure that you have a wonderful time. This hotel is always full of "returners", a wonderful endorsement in itself. We have been going for years, and will certainly be going back.

For the first time ever we have retutrned to the same resort two years in succession (see first review). The main reason for this is this hotel. Vicki and Gus are the most welcoming hosts you could ever want. They organised a Barbeque for one of the guests who was going home and everyone attended and a great night was had by all. Dutch, English and Scottish. nothing is too much trouble for this amazing couple. We met people from the previous year and people for whom it was their first visit. Nobody had anything but praise for this hotel. A short walk to the restaurants and bars, yet far enough for peace and quiet day and night. Lovely poolside and surroundings. Rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. Great value for money, would not hesitate to recomend to anyone.

lovely small and quiet hotel, really friendly and helpful owners. suitable for all ages (not a 18-25 holiday) close to shops, restraunts and beach but far enough away not to be disturbed. nice pool and basic rooms. not far from airport, would recommend getting a taxi not a transfere so much quicker and not very expensive. out of the way from the 18-25 night life in laganas but still good for young couples wanting a few cocktails and meals out.

My husband & I booked the hotel Daniel by chance 5 years ago ,since then we have returned seval times . The owners live on the premises, they are so friendly and welcoming you feel like one of the family. We found that many of the guests had been before and some who we met in September have already booked again for this summer.
Would certanily recommend it for a relaxing break.

Based on the reviews on this site we spent a week at The Daniel at the start of October, we were not disappointed. Vicky and Gus are lovely, they run the hotel incredibly well and make you feel very welcome. We did venture out to eat in the evenings but ate by the pool during the day, the food was lovely (and yes Vicky's chips are the best!!). We wouldn't usually be inclined to visit the same hotel/resort again but really want to go back at some point in the future as we had such a good experience staying at The Daniel. So a big thank you to Vicky and Gus for a great week (and to the Geordies Geoff and Sandra for keeping us entertained). We hope to visit again soon. Kate and Kat.X

On arriving at The Daniel, we were greeted by Vicky who was very warm and attentive. The hotel is quiet and in a surreal setting but not to far away from the bustling streets of beautiful tavernas and bars. The whole holiday experience is one we will never forget. Vicky and Gus treat everyone of their customers as if they had been friends forever. We met some great people Geoff and Sandra, Lynn and John and Trish and George. We are already booking our flights and accomadation for next year. We also went on a few excursions which we enjoyed and my partner Ray enjoyed a spot of scuba diving while myself and my Daughter Terri had a lazy day at St Nicholas beach. So Kalamaki and the Daniel we will be back
