Have just returned from a lovely 8 nights at this hotel. Few things I would like to share with you all. Our room was cleaned on a daily basis which was nice as fresh bedding is always a treat. The pool is very relaxing and clean well maintained hotel on a whole and defiantly worth the stay. Hotel staff very friendly and always helped when needed.

On a bad note he pool bar was slightly expensive and the food was frozen packaged as you can see them preparing it. It's good for little nibbles during the day but would not recommend eating from the bar area.

We had to pay an extra £40 for the aircon and safety deposit box but this was expected as the hotel was cheap in the first place. I am also aware they offer a fridge in the room but we decided this was not needed as a shop is around 100 meters away and bottles of water are less than a euro and the walk is great.

Over all it was a Fantastic experience and if you are looking for a cheap getaway but with a great hotel this is defiantly one I would recommend. Thanks everyone at the Louros and we shall be returning soon!

We are sadly leaving today after a lovely two week stay.

The best things about Louros Beach are the beautiful gardens, the close proximity to both the beach and the Kalamaki strip and how spotlessly clean it all is. The cleaners do a fantastic job - I have seen a few reviewers say their floors were never swept but ours were swept and mopped every couple of days. Towels and bedding were changed frequently.

My biggest complaints are the extra charges. 6 euros a day for air con (a must if you want to be able to sleep without getting eaten by mosquitoes!), and 5 a day for the fridge and safe which we went without. It's also 10 to use the spa which I felt should be free for hotel guests. On the other hand the bar drinks and snacks were mostly priced very reasonably at 1.50 for a soft drink and 8 for a large pizza.

Ants are also a problem but there isn't much the hotel can do about that. Just don't leave any sweet foods or drinks open in your room.

The planes didn't bother me at all. It's a tiny airport so at most you get a couple of flights per hour and they stop at about 11pm latest. Speaking of noise, the rooms are not in any way soundproof so for our first few nights we had to listen it our neighbours having loud 'relations' several times!

Breakfast is as you'd expect for a hotel of this kind. Coffee, tea, juice, cereal,,ham and cheese, jams, yoghurt, honey, tinned fruit, boiled eggs, croissants, cake, biscuits and bread. They did make an effort to vary the couple of hot items offered each day like scrambled eggs, meatballs, vegetable fritters and sausages. You can get a full English for 5 euros in the high street if you want a change.

To sum up, I was very pleased with the hotel and felt I got what I paid for, although I strongly feel the fridge should be free and the aircon cheaper - last year in another part of Greece use paid £20 a week which was much more reasonable than Louros' 42.

The hotel, and Kalamaki itself, are not great for kids. There isn't a lot for them to do. It's a resort for couples, especially elderly, and suited us fine because of that. Young people into clubs and drinking will be much happier in nearby Laganas and families should look elsewhere.

Room Tip: We had 303 which was a good size and had lovely views of the sea and mountains.

We booked our trip after carefully looking at many hotels as we wanted a totally relaxing and hopefully child free break. We were not disappointed. The Louros beach hotel was amazing. They had left in our room a lovely basket of fruit and a bottle of champagne for our arrival which was a lovely touch. Immediately we were impressed with the quality, cleanliness and friendly approach from Gogo who met us.

They were extremely accommodating when we asked if we could move rooms as our room (117) which opened out onto the pool area was beautiful but offered little privacy when the balcony doors were opened. We were moved to the identical room above without quibble.

This is NOT a hotel for children. Although there is a beach only 5 min away, for children at this hotel, that's it. As for the majority of the couples there it's brilliant. Clean smart pool area, lots of good sun beds, quiet, peaceful and all you would want for a couples getaway. You can enjoy lunch there if you wish, but to lounge in the sun with a beer or a cocktail from Lea ( I'd recommend the Wild guys cocktail) it's perfect.

We had B&B as our choice of stay. The breakfasts were lovely. Why some people feel that it was inadequate is beyond me. There was every day, cereals, boiled eggs, hams, cheese, yoghurt, peaches, beautiful croissants, beans if you want them, toast, and lots of good coffee.

All the staff, and I mean all, the cleaners, the ladies sorting breakfast, Christina, Gogo, everybody couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.

We used the hotel spa facilities for a day for only ten euros which was really relaxing and Pigi was very helpful, I would definitely recommend this.

We ate out every evening and could tell you all of the great meals we ate. The quality in general everywhere was fabulous. They don't like giving you the bill though........ We'll not until at least you've had several complimentary coffees, ouzo's or Bailey's!!! I would say however, try the Maharaja. This is a mixed Indian and Chinese food restaurant which put us off at first but my god, the quality of the food was amazing

All in all, this was everything we wanted and would certainly use the Louros beach hotel again. The only one thing, and this is minor, is that tea and coffee making isn't provided in the rooms so if you like a brew, take a travel kettle and some tea bags.

Thank you to Thompson and everyone at the Louros Beach Hotel.

Thomas cook had double booked us so we were taken to this hotel. The location was great, everywhere was clean the room was a good size, and there was free wi fi . We were happy with the breakfast but perhaps some people would fine that it was a little lacking in options, fresh fruit would have been nice and maybe 'proper juices' and even a hot chocolate to drink. Having said that we would stay here again.
The safe is 2 euros a day, there is a fridge and air conditioning in the room which are payable extras.
The beach is a short walk away with a nice bar that serves good food.
You can walk into Laganas along the beach quite a long walk , but it is lovley
There are some great restaurants in kalamaki , definatly visit Paulos the food is lovley and the staff are very hard working.
One thing I would say if you are booked with Thomas cook, check your flight times on the internet before departing as our tickets said 14.15 and it was actually flying out at 12.55. Luckily the airport is only 15 mins away and the taxi rank is just outside the hotel - with all the prices listed. 13 euros to the airport.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and resort

Just come back from a week there,
Staff very friendly and helpful, pool area clean with a nice pool bar.
In the week there was entertainment at the pool bar twice, we only saw the entertainment once which was good fun. Rooms are of a good size with nice views, Breakfast was ok but nothing very exciting.
Hotel was in a fab place with the beach at one end of the road and shops and bars at the other end.
I recommend this hotel for adults but not children.
