Stayed here at the beginning of august with my husband, step daughter and her friend . Absolute gem of a place !
Grounds are beautiful and well looked after , the staff are out every evening cutting the grass/trees etc.Never had to worry about getting a space at the pool plenty of sunbeds all day pool doesn't open til 9 so it was refreshing not having to do the 6 am towel dash ! Pool is large and clean and great for a dip after lying in the sun, pool gets quieter after 5 so great for a swim after that .
Not much in the way of entertainment , quiz night on Mondays ( which we won :p ) and a BBQ on Thursdays might be more maybe we missed .
Rooms are lovely was in B block and lovely and cool most of the day, we did get the air conditioning ( costs you extra) but we add that into our holiday expenses anyway , you'll need it at 34 degrees!
Staff are wonderful and the maids are amazing!
Hotel is only 5 mins from a wonderful beach and a few mins from the main strip at kalamaki, loads of restaurants and bars to choose from we recommend Yummys !!
In all I am definitely going back next year apartments are great and the area is fantastic not too quiet and not too busy , perfect for family's and cpls !!
See you in august Amaryllis !!! Xxx

We had a great stay at Amaryllis, it was beyond our expectations: a large room with two bedrooms and big balcony overlooking the pool and garden area. Everything is well maintained so very clean: the room, the bathroom, the little kitchen area, the pool and the garden. It's a family business and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The whole area is quiet, except when there is a party at the hotel next door, but that didn't bother us. All rooms have garden view and the big pool is aside (not surrounded by buildings as in many other hotels) so overall a very relaxing area. Food was also great, all fresh and homemade (we had a half-board pack). It's not what you would call a luxury hotel but it had all we needed for a great holiday. The beach is 5 minutes away, with wonderful sand and shallow clean water. We took a walk on the beach to Laganas and noticed the difference: Laganas is very crowded and noisy. Kalamaki is calm, with more green areas and less concrete but with plenty of restaurants and shops. I totally recommend the destination for a relaxing holiday and I would love to go back.

We took a chance by booking this deal as we had no clue were we were going and having a quick look on trip advisor were confident to book since the 4.5 stars.

The room was okay, the size is on the large side, the beds were comfortable, a balcony, mainly everything we needed for self catering was there, except for a chopping board and a salad bowl. The shower curtain was really enoying so ended up not using it at all which resulted in water all over the bathroom floor. The cleaner came in every day, she did the basic job of cleaning the floors and the bathroom, emptying the bins and even washing the dishes! The bedding and towels were changed twice a week which was brilliant! Aircon is available at €10 per night, wifi is €10 per week.

The hotel itself is very nice, has everything you possibly need- a bar, nightclub area, restaurant/ buffet area, beautiful reception which provides board games and books, and a pc with internet connection at a cost.

The buffet and lunch (haven't tried breakfast) is good. The prices are not that expensive at all.

The pool area is very good, one big pool - a very good size, and a childrens pool which is also a very good size, not like a splash pool that u can find in loads of hotels. Very clean pool water and the area is well looked after. The parasols and the chairs are more than enough.

There is a bouncy castle in the evenings and a coue of swings.

The entertainment is poor, unfortunately, something that could be improved.

The location is brilliant, located on one end of kalamaki, so you can easily walk through the kalamaki town from one end to the other and maybe come back by walking on the beach. The two beaches are about 5-10 min walk from the hotel, the beaches are very clean as they are protected cause of the careta careta turtle. The prices for parasols and two chairs are €10 per day at one beach and €7 per day at another beach.

The kalamaki town is family friendly, loads of restaurants and bars, no night clubs. It also has a fun park for kids with an aqua park.

The good think about the place is that you can go into other hotels and use their pool etc. so it's fun to do that for a change.

The hotel staff are all amazing! Very friendly and very helpful. The cleaners, the receptionist and the restaurant staff are all very nice!

All in all I give Amaryllis a solid 4 star, the only downside is the entertainment.

Yes you read that right thsi year was our 3rd year running and we are after 3 days being home are looking at year number 4!!

The first thing you will notice is how lush the place looks from the outside and the welcome recieption area is large. The check in is quick and freindly. Block A is behind the bar area and accessible via reciption. Blocks B, C and D are past the pool and bar. Each room is slightly different and as we have only stayed in the studios in blocks C and D i can only comment on how they are. So here goes, they slept the 3 adults with comfort and withour being ontop of each other but if you have been to greece before you will probaly know that you dont get much privacy in a studio. The bathroom is small compared to some places i have stayed but what more do you need other than a shower, sink and toilet? The kitchen is also basic but the bar does do some amazing food and why go all that way to cook when there are some fab resurants a few minutes walk away. The kitchen has a 2 ring electric cooker, fridge etc. Each room as a balcony wiht table and chairs. Maid service is excellant and is daily expect she has one day off a week but does empty the bins (there is a mixture of companies in the hotel and the maids do extra jobs), they even hoover the stone floors thats how spotless they are.

The pool and bar area are also spotless and the bar staff will meet your needs as best they can. Evening entertainment is vaired with greek nights and bbqs to zumba and water sports. Again evening bar man/staff are amazing and willing to help out. There is buffet breakfast and dinner every day and they are pre-bookable.

On returning the owner met us with a shake of the hand and had seen i was celebrating my birthday while away as he wished me a happy birthday on the day. The hotel does money exchange as well as wi-fi at 10 euros a week or just use the pc in reciception at a smaller cost. Safety deposit boxes, air con and tv are avaiable to rent from recieption.

Hope this helps please pm if you have any questions

Stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks with my family. Rooms were a perfect size with two bedrooms, a large balcony and bathroom! Kitchen a little on the small side but was great for what we needed! Pool area was lovely with plenty on sunbeds for everyone so no need to get up early to reserve one! We ate lunch at the pool bar quite often, food was delicious! We also had a few cocktails at tge bar in the evening which are worth a try. wifi cost €10 a week to use around pool and bar area (and occasionally worked in room) but most restaurants on the strip allow you to use their free wifi. The hotel is in a good location just off the strip with plenty of bars and restaurants near by. Some of our favourites including Pandesia were up this end of the strip. Also the beach is a short walk (about 10-15 minutes) through block C. It is a lovely sandy beach with shallow water. All the staff at the amaryllis were very friendly and helpful, especially Maggie and Lola at the pool bar! The Amaryllis hotel is perfect for families of all ages, and I would recommend to anyone looking to stay in kalamaki!
