Hi All, just a few comments regarding the last review left about Nikos ll. If the reviewer knows about Trip Advisor and can leave a review I don't understand why he doesn't read them, I distinctly remember, in the 1st review I left, saying that Nikos ll is lovely and relaxing for older people BUT, if that WAS what one wanted, not to go in July or August when it could be rowdier, in fact the following is EXACTLY what I wrote, (This accommodation is more suitable for the older person who wants peace and quiet although it CAN be a bit more rowdier in July and August!!) It also seems odd that, if the Rep is available every day, Paul didn't mention to him about the bathroom window in Room 17, that's what Reps are for, why didn't he mention it?? in our experience George, Michael, Coco and the cleaner have always bent over backwards to help whenever we've requested it. In George's defence this is the 1st year he's had a BBQ and possibly hasn't got it down to the fine art the other establishments have, we stayed elsewhere last year and the BBQ there cost us 10 euro's, I don't think that 12 euro's at Nikos ll is too bad really given the fact there's inflation everywhere, not least of all Greece. If Paul and his wife had been to Nikos ll before they would realize how extremely hard George and the rest of the family, (and no doubt their many friends) have worked over the last winter period to upgrade to the standard they're at now, from what we've seen on their website, and the other reviews we've read, they've done a wonderful job too. As I said previously, George is normally extremely helpful and if he was less than that on this occasion I can only imagine he was either extremely tired himself, (some night's he doesn't even have the chance of getting to any bed, let alone the relative comfort of Room 17, much before 4 a.m and let's face it, who amongst us IS the life and soul when exhausted??? certainly not me, that's for sure!!) OR there was some kind of mis communication and he didn't totally understand the real root of the problem, i.e the window. I'm so sorry that Paul and his wife were less than happy about their holiday as on each of the 3 previous occasions we've stayed there we've had a BRILLIANT time, hence the title of my last review but then we've always gone in September when most kids and teenagers are back in school, college or university and the accommodation's left to us 'crumblies' !! Paul, don't let this ONE bad experience put you off, "Please", give George and his family the benefit of the doubt on this occasion, come out and try again but next time, may I suggest you do it in May, June or September when the 'idiots' who ruin it for everyone else are still in full time education!! Best Wishes, Claire x
