Stayed here as a family of four. It was one of the best holidays we have had and a number of the recent reviews for Nikos II apartments are spot on - for example, everything is immaculately clean, the pool is big, the location peaceful, the accommodation comfortable, and the hospitality first class. We honestly could not fault anything. If you want full-on luxury and extensive facilities you will not get it here at this price and I suggest you seek out one of the posh out of town places and pay for the privilege. However, if you do, you will miss out on the kind of genuine Greek hospitality that George and his team offer and that would be your loss! That is really what this place is all about and it sets it apart from other accommodation in the area and indeed other family holidays we have had. By the way, the BBQ is immense and it was easily the best food we ate in Kardemena, including home made meatballs and lovely pork chops. The only downside to this place is that George is a Liverpool supporter, but please don't let that put you off! YAMMAS.

We stayed at Nikos II last June, it was so nice and relaxing we didn't want to leave! The blue crystal cold water of the pool , the food from the snack bar and the clean rooms , were all we needed for good vacations! We wanted a cheap, clean ,nice apartment to spent our 3 weeks vacations in Kos and this was perfect!!! We all enjoyed the hospitality and friendly atmosphere of Nikos II the staff was very helpful and polite, we just cant wait to go there next year again! We already booked for next year George! see you then!!!

Room Tip: book early , it is very cheap and nice, such a great value for money, all have air condition, the ba...

Me and my boyfriend have just returned from a week here. We didn't arrive until 1.30am but were greeted cheerfully by Michael who brought us a bottle of water and showed us to our room. Our studio was basic but extremely clean. The pool area was spotless and there were always plenty of sunbeds available. George's pool bar was very reasonable and he was more than happy to put any football match on which pleased us as we are big fans! Both George and Michael are lovely and will do anything to help. Studios are a 10 minute walk to the centre- make sure you visit Calypso cocktail bar for the best drinks and Avli for the best food!

We stayed at the Nikkos 2 in the first week of August and were very happy with our accomodation. We payed a little extra to get an apartment rather than a studio which was on the 1st floor and had really nice views over the gardens. The rooms were cleaned regularly and fresh towels most days. Definately get the air con as even though there was a nice breaze with 2 doors open theer are a few farm animals including cockerals which meant that we couldnt sleep with the doors open. The shower was very basic but water pressure was good and temperature fine. Pool area is well maintained and had a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We spent most of our time at the beach and only ate at the snack bar a few times but George always made an effort to chat to us and give us advice on the area etc.

This was my first stay in Kardemina and I loved everything about it-something for everyone, the beach is lovely with plenty of free sunbeds if you eat in the bars, very cheap 5euro for full English. The first beach is approx 5min walk from Nikkos 2 but if you walk another 5 mins there is a larger beach with more going on water sports etc. There are loads of little shops to look around and loads of resteraunts to choose from, we ate in a different place every night and were never disssapointed. The nightlife was just right for us as we are in our early 30s, a small strip of lively bars if you wanted a late night and plenty of more relaxed bars if you just want a few chilled out drinks.

Overall this has been my favourite holiday destination and I would definately recommend the Nikkos 2 apartments which are just far enough from the town for peace and quiet but only a short distance to walk to bars and beach. We will definatley consider coming back to the Nikkos 2, basic but everything you need and expect for what you pay, and definately the best self catering accomadation we have stayed in!

Room Tip: Corener rooms have large balcony and lovely views!

George does an amazing job of running Nikos ii, ably assisted by Michael and the others. They are warm, friendly people who welcomed us from the outset.
The setting is beautiful, just out of town with a view of mountains and horses, yet only a few minutes' walk from the sea, restaurants and shops.
The complex is spotlessly clean, the pool area large, clear clean water and comfy sun beds. No fighting for beds here!
The BBQ on Tuesday night was gorgeous and a bargain, in fact all the food at the bar is gorgeous, freshly made and well priced. There is a well stocked bar and football for the sports lovers.
Within the grounds grow limes, figs and olives, I brought back homemade olive oil and had limes in my lager.
I definitely will return. It was an amazing holiday and I highly recommend Nikos ii

Room Tip: Worth paying for air on. Room 17 has a large window as well as balcony, room 18 larger with 3 beds...

George (the owner) met us off our coach which was a nice start to the holiday. We had asked for a bottle of wine in the room on arrival as it was our anniversary and this was duly done. Apartments are clean and basic which is what we expected. Very friendly family run apartments. Food at the pool bar was always freshly made and reasonably priced. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach and the town. Would recommend these apartments and will return.

Room Tip: Ask for the end room. It can sleep 4 and has 2 balconies

Me and my partner visited the apartments in Summer 2010 and again in Summer 2011 but wouldn't return as the second time we didn't have a very good experience.
The apartments are basic (you get what you pay for). The rooms are cleaned every day and bed changed a couple of times during the week. The food at the pool bar is okay but preferred to eat out in resteraunts, suppose was okay for a quick snack while sunbathing. The hotel was about a 10 minute walk along a main road and at night time it wasn't lit very well so be careful if you are drunk, only 4euros in a taxi which is good after a night out.
The hotel owner George seemed to only have time for the guests that had been returning for years and also ones who stayed at the pool the full day and night (obviously the ones that were spending money).
There is a couple of nice resteraunts on the sea front which are worth a visit. The first year we went it was really busy at night along bar street and when we returned the year later it was dead and there was a few pubs etc closed down. Wouldn't return to Kos.
Good luck if you ever need to visit the hospital while there (Kos Town) it is like something out a horror film and nobody can speak any English at all.
