Arrived at hotel to be told they dont have a room. We were sent to another hotel 4 miles away until the next day. We complianed that night after a long journey and the last thing we wanted was to be told no room at the inn!!!!. Next day we was picked up by a guy driving a battered car with the wing mirrors hanging off and the driver constantely on the mobile phone. By this time when we arrived at the hotel my wife was upset. We asked to speak to the Manager but wa spassed to the duty front of house Mgr. The duty Mgr was Kostas and should have been the Mgr. He was great and gave us various benifits from free safe to aboat trip. The Mgr we saw walking around a few times butr didnt really engage with anyone. Please Mikri Poli owners give Kostas the job!!!. There was some issues, the bar staff leader at the poolside bar spent most of her timne eating the food for the guests and rarely cracked a smile and spent most of her time on her mobile sitting on the ice box very un proffessional. There was also a gentelman who was overseeing the bars and was doing stocktakes on the stock but spent his time eating the food as well!used for baqr drinks were unsafe has they had a jagged edge through constant use The plastic cups The Italian animation lady with the camera spent most of her time whilst we was there talking to an italian family constantly. The room was nice apart from the fact that it was as others have commented on here, a long way up the hill!!! I paid an extra £50 for a sea view, yes we had one but you had ro crane your neck to see it!!! The maids came 9 out of the ten days but hardly cleaned anything. The tea tray was never cleaned and the bathroom unfinished, my wife had to clean the glasses daily. At the restaurant a very efficient service but I like to get on with any race or creed , but the eastern block customers were so rude and ignorant. I always at the start of the week would give way and be polite, but by the end of the holiday I gave up because of these people(I dont think they represented their fine countries very well, especially when they say the English are ignorant. The Ampitheatre is an Health n Safety hazard(this would be closed in Britain) a lady at the time was watching the animation show and fell down the steep steps with no hand rail and cut her head open. I did say to Kostas that they need to review the beds as many customers were complaining about how hard they were and woke up with aches and pains. The room telephones to contact reception were not working, the safe box was not fixed, so a thief just had to pick the safe up!!! There was a flat screen Tv which was great if you was from Greece, Germany or Italy. To conclude a lovely hotel and setting but the inner workings need working on. And Kostas needs to be given the job to take this hotel forward.
