We were lucky with very good weather at the end of the season. The pool was lovely but the sea at the beach over the road was even better. The accommodation was very comfortable and the food very good. My wife would have liked a bit more choice of Greek food on the buffet tables, but I was happy! Eating too much could be a problem! Staff very friendly and helpful. Location good. Just a 15 min walk to the nearest town or a short bus or taxi trip, although we did hire a car for the two weeks anyway. Room Internet access by cable very good, but taking a mini wireless router, as I did, made using iPad and iPhones easy. Taking a kettle for morning coffee or tea is a good idea.

Room tip: Take a kettle and if you are an Internet addict, take a mini wireless router. Best views in the high rooms numbers 300 to 500, frequent free mini bus works well. Lower series rooms (100 to 200) better for a quick walk to breakfast and the pool.

We got back from the Aegean Village on 20th October, it was the best 10 day holiday my husband and i have had. It was very relaxing, the staff were all very helpful and polite (but not intrusive). The cleanliness of the hotel was excellent and the maids keep the bedrooms spotless every day. The food was lovely, different options every night including a couple of meat dishes, a carvery, a fish dish and a vegetarian dish. We didn't feel the prices were too bad in the hotel bars and restaurants, you are in a hotel after all....
The walk to Kardamena was only 10 - 15 minutes and actually quite a nice stroll along the beach front all the way.
Our room was on the second row with beautiful views out to sea, perfect to watch the sunrise from our balcony.
We were very lucky and had perfect weather every day, about 32 degrees, we used the sunbeds at the beach daily.
We booked this holiday on the internet not really knowing what to expect but now we can definitely highly recommend this hotel for families, friends and couples looking for a great holiday.

this is the worst hotel i have ever stayed in ,and i go away 3 times a yearmostly due to the awful, rude staff, very bad, repetative food, music by pool all from 1980-6,even a lovely kim wilde medely 1 day!charges 5 euro per gym visit,6euro to use the hotel beach beds, even charges for table tennis!!no water in breakfast, just awful cheap juice,i think incase u fill up a water bottle 2 save paying the extorcinate water prices in the hotel shop, very, very expensive shop, also 6.20 for a vodka and coke.entertainment vertualy non excistent.a long walk 2 town on a poor lit road.if you are over 65 and enjoy german t.v and playing cards and very bad music, this hotel is 4 u .ps... take long trousers ,men, cos my hubby was escorted out of the hotel because he had on very smart dress shorts and not trousers so to eat in the restarant on our first night he had to borrow a very old, smelly pair of waiters trousers, even though woman had tiny hotpants on in there!!!as i say, very old fashioned and dated, avoid .the only good thing about this hotel is the maid who cleans the room, spotlessley.

Room tip: ask for a low floor, walk up hill is exausting

Having stayed at the Aegean Village for one week 17th Sept. 2012 we were very impressed with accomodation, food, staff etc. All first class. A most relaxing holiday with sunshine all day every day. We were on the 3rd block of rooms but did not find the 58 steps too much trouble, and the view from the room across the sea was superb. Very peaceful to sleep at night. The free minibus is available to guests 24/7 so arriving at 11pm at night was no problem. We do like to walk, so going into Kardemena and the harbour was a casual 15 to 20 minute stroll, although the local bus stops outside the Aegean Village. The beach and sea across the road was most inviting, and to swim in the crystal clear warm sea was so beautiful and relaxing. Hopefully we shall return next year.

Room tip: All room face the sea, but the higher up the better. We were 3rd level which was ideal.
