Where do I start thats the question? This is a really good hotel with lots of pluses but unfortunately for me there was a few minor niggles.
When we arrived we were seen to quickly and our cases were taken to the apartment by one of the buggys which was good, especially with three kids it toe, its a help to have a hand with your luggage. Our room was a superior family room. I don't know if the family rooms vary but i read some comments about the rooms being pokey, but ours was massive. We had a double bed and three single beds which is good compared to previous holidays where we had a mattress on the floor.
The first niggle we had was the showers...oh dear, ive never known anything like it. for a big hotel they really need to sort out the water pressure, They were either scorching hot or freezing. You could get a good flow of water if you took the shower off the hook but if you put it back up on the hook it would just trickle out. this made it pretty difficult to wash your hair etc. We woke up one morning to brown water, but to be fair the problem was quickly verified.
The food in the hotel is good probably the best ai ive been to. There is loads of choice at both dinner and tea. lots of pasta meats etc. It did get a bit repetitive after 2 weeks but i suppose any all inclusive hotel would.
I have mixed reviews about the staff. The staff on the reception desk are so rude. When my hubby complained about the shower they just shrugged their shoulders at us. The reception staff let the hotel down to be honest because the restaurant staff are really nice (not including the bar staff) -grumpy!
The three pools are all nice we spent time at them all, the main pool is where its all going on. there isnt really much entertainment around the other pools but are good for relaxing and if you want peace.
The kids club is good, and the lady who runs is Barbera is lovely and my kids got really attached to her. However they need more staff in there the poor girls run off her feet. They also need to stick to the time table as its a bit annoying when your child wants to go for a certain activity but they've already done it earlier in the day.
The evening entertainment leaves a lot to be desired. The mini disco starts at 8.45 and its pretty much the same as everywhere else ive been to be fair, but the shows are dreadful. I know the entertainers work really hard but they really need to come up with some better material. The theater where they have the evening entertainment isn't the best either, hard wooden benches to sit on, and if it rains theirs no other venue apart from the main pool bar, which is now way big enough to do the mini disco or the shows from.
The beach was a let down, very shingle and rocky.
Over all a good hotel, I probably would return.

Good hotel, room clean, neat and tidy - somewhat basic ( more travel inn/ premier inn than a luxury hotel) but then we didn't pay for a luxury hotel!

Several swimming pools including little ones for the kids so plenty of room. I imagine in high season it could get crowded but at end of May it was wonderful. Enough sun loungers, room to swim and for kids to play without causing problems. We were all inclusive and food was fine - a great selection suitable for everyone plus free wine, beer or cocktails every meal.

Entertainment/ kids club staff worked very hard to keep people entertained from beach volleyball, aqua gym to a fire show and cabarets - they were a bit hit and miss but they put in a lot of effort for everything.

Would recommend this to family groups or groups of friends.

Hotel staff were all helpful and pleasant with the exception of Sean( jean?) French reception staff who was rude, didn't care about customers and THE most unhelpful a*$e I've ever had the misfortune to deal with in over 20 years of travelling.
Everyone else at reception were lovely and helpful but he was obnoxious and a snotty idiot!

Be prepared to pay deposits for use of beach towels, air con in rooms, tv remote etc but that is all refundable - NB we couldn't find any English speaking tv but we weren't in our room other than to sleep so didn't care.

There is a supermarket at the edge of the resort near the beach and a shop on site which sells tourist goods/gifts etc as well as drinks, suncream, toys etc and all the little bits and bobs you might have forgotten to pack.

All in all a very nice clean place to go with the family and I would recommend this for a chilled out holiday.

Room Tip: Some rooms are further from the restaurant and pools than others. If you had mobility issues you might want to ask to be near the main facilities.

Just come back after a week or 5 1/2 days of great weather. Really taken back by how nice the place is we had read the reviews but u never know. Place lovely and nice we'll kept grounds. Very cosmopolitan with lots of Germans French Dutch Polish and other eastern bloc. Food good but not enough hot veg for me personally I preferred the breakfast and the lunches to dinner. Kids club sand animation team do a fantastic job and our daughter (7) had a ball. The evening entertainments was in parts great but sometimes a bit poor and needs some freshening up. For a four star complex it ticks the box and we'll done to the animation team particularly ashley, Barbara and Lukas...others too but forgot names. The only let down is the beach at best a scruffy gritty stripped sand beach but I knew that before I went so it did not affect our holiday but if u want to laze on a lovely sand beach this is not for you really. This is a great complex holiday place and would defo come back

Room Tip: "Experience" area is quieter with a nice pools and away from the busier main pool that's where we were but hung around the main pool every day...

We stayed here for a week in May this year and found the hotel to be a good choice. We have stayed in Kardamena several times but never at this hotel and only booked it as it was the only accommodation we could get for 3 adults in 2 separate rooms.
The accommodation was excellent, very clean and spacious with a faultless maid service. The complex was also very clean and well maintained at all times.
Although all inclusive we did not eat in the hotel every night, but when we did the food was very good and there was plenty of choice, we ate breakfast here every day and this was also good, the manager, Heracles and his deputy were always present to ensure food and service were both of a high standard.
We did not attend any of the shows or entertainment so cannot comment about these.
Overall the hotel is of a very good standard and we would return.

We returned on 4 June after a week with our 7 year old and after reading most recent reviews I have to agree they are more or less spot on. Our room was clean and overlooked the pool, just a note we were bitten quite badly in the night by Mosquitos so anyone going might be worth taking some repellent as many people had bites on them. The kids club is good, open from 10-7pm every day our little girl loved it. The pool was clean and well maintained tho there were many towels reserving sun beds quite early in the mornings. Food was lovely especially the Chinese and the funny little woman at breakfast made lovely omelettes and fried eggs. Kardamena was very disappointing maybe we were a little early in the season but apart from one nice street and the marina the rest of the resort was closed, boarded up and looked derelict. The shop keepers were very friendly not pushy at all tho this may be because many of them were English! We only went twice it wasn't really worth the effort of queuing for the bus or paying taxis. Just one word of warning don't change money at reception we got 1.14 euro in town compared to a rip of 85 cents at the hotel. A nice break but we won't be back anytime soon.
