“Lovely hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 August 2014

Just returned from a week at this hotel , I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was , very clean pool immaculate , although very busy , , the staff and food were extremely nice and reasonably priced , the room we stayed in was a family room 312 which was very spacious with two balconies , lots of storage and coat hangers although it was very windy when we went and the wind was whistling through the door but not too much of a problem . There was lots of sun loungers but we found it to be very closed in so we spent most of our pool time at the nearby nikos 2 which was much more spaced out and had a larger pool with pool bar for food , I would definitely stay here again and also recommend ditching the transfers offered with holiday bookings as we paid 18 euros for an airport taxi which only took less than 10 min to get us to hotel and the hotel arranged for us a return taxi which only cost 17 euros . The hotel stopped serving food at 5.30 pm which I thought was great as it gave the local restaurants a chance to compete for your custom , we had some lovely meals in the nearby Mediterranean sun which was just a short stroll from cleopatra superior and very cheap. , also at El Greco which was on the sea front they really looked after us here and were very welcoming .

Room Tip: 312 is a family room with lovely views and 2 balconies

What a great hotel, the rooms were cleaned every day and properly, they were spacious not cramped the only fault I could mention was the shower wasn't really very good. We were on the 2nd floor room 207 which looked out over the pool and towards the mountains and sea which was so picuresque. All the staff were friendly especially George behind the bar, the pool area is the cleanest I've seen, I would say they could do with a few more umbrellas round the pool as it gets hot. The breakfast was adequate with ham, cheese, toast, jams, honey, greek yogurt, tined fruit and cereal with fruit juice, tea and coffee, plenty to see you through till late afternoon, the food round the pool bar was lovely and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and would probably return again myself. Well done to all the staff you should be proud of yourselves, thank you ALL

Room Tip: floors 2 and 3 over looking the pool and sea views are lovely not hot in the afternoon so can sit ou...

We have stayed at this hotel from 2 to 9 August 2014. The room is rather large and clear, but air conditioner and safe are not free. Breakfast is simple: ham, cheese, jams, honey, yoghurt, bread, butter. We wish there were some fresh vegetables and eggs, but even those simple products were sufficient, we have never left the breakfast hungry. The staff is polite and ready to help. The sea is in 3 minutes walk from the hotel, there are free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach.

What more can I say? We have been numerous places & all different star ratings but the Cleopatra Superior was by far the best place we have stayed, made purely fantastic by the staff. Rooms were basic but kept spotless with more than enough room to accommodate a family of four. Breakfast was simple but ample to set you up for the morning with a choice of cereals, toast making facilities, tea, coffee, tinned fruit, greek yogurt, honey, cheese, ham & a selection of jams & biscuits. The pool area was spotless with plenty of sunbeds but perhaps too few umbrellas offering shade for us pale skinned Scots! However, the indoor lounge area behind the pool offered us respite from the sun and provided us with an extensive snack menu with the largest portions I have ever eaten as a "snack" and all at most reasonable prices. A short walk took you into the centre of the resort which was as lively or quiet as you wanted with a good selection of restaurants to cover all budgets. A very special mention to George (the best bar man we've ever met) & his most delicious milkshakes & Yanni our evening bar man, both guys ensured we had the best family holiday ever!

Stayed for 2 weeks with my wife and son in a family room (301).

Family room was large and consisted of two rooms, 1 double bed and 2 single beds. The balcony was big and views were beautiful, looking out towards the mountains and sea.

The pool was large enough and bar area was good.

The staff were great and can't do enough for you. They work hard and do long hours but alway had time for you and always had a smile on their faces, even at 4 in the morning.

I have stayed at the classic and my brother stayed at the kris Marie at the same time we were there. Have no bad points about this hotel or the others and would recommend any of the 3 cleopatra hotels.

Thank you for a great time.

5th time at this hotel and as always can't wait to go back! Great size family rooms.....5 minute walk to the centre of kardamena.....pool is lovely although I wish people would not leave towels out at the crack of dawn when they don't appear until the middle of the afternoon! Have to say it's the first time we encountered that problem at this hotel. Food at the pool bar is lovely and reasonably priced we ate there every day with 2 children. Being a bit fussy I would have liked a better selection of drinks. The barman George will look after you and always had service with a smile.....my 5 year old daughter wants to go back just to see him! What was noticeable this year was the hotel was mostly filled with families and couples although there were a few groups but everyone was really friendly and it was a better atmosphere round the pool etc which is obviously important when you have children. Reception staff really helpful and although they were full they got us a late check out room across the road at the krismari. I have seen a few reviews mentioning the money for air conditioning which for us was 50 euros for two units in a family room.....worth every cent!!! I wouldn't have slept without it. Well I think that's probably enough as you have gathered we love this hotel and will definitely go back next time we visit kardamena!

Great little hotel in a really good location, brilliant views from the balcony and metres from the beach and restaurants. Everything is in walking distance but still far enough away from the main strip as to not be loud at night.

Air con was an extra 30euro for 7 nights and worked whilst the keys are in the room and balcony doors are closed.

The rooms were cleaned nearly everyday and new towels and bedding provided, the cleaners even lay out my pyjamas nicely on the bed for me. The staff were all lovely and the pool was really clean.

Breakfast was a good start to the day- bread, ham, cheese, greek yogurt, cereal and toast as well as tea coffee, juice and biscuits.

Would definitely recommend staying here if you can get it for a good price :)
