Brilliant hotel with amazing views of the beach, friendly staff, lovely food and plenty of activities. The rooms were very clean and well kept. The pool and the spa are fantastic and the reps are very lively and entertaining, which is just what we needed, as we are newly graduated university students. The food was excellent with high standards of cooking and a lot of selection!
The only thing I would have to say that is bad, is that the hotel predominately catered for the German visitors, as we were English, it would have been nice to have a translation for us as well. Another thing is that the hotel is extremely far away from the airport, about an hour and a half away, which is not ideal, but the transfers arranged were fine.

Other than that it is a brilliant resort and it would delightful to go back!

Room Tip: Pick a room with a good view

Booked a very last minute one week holiday to the Palace and what a great choice! From first greeting on arrival the staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly and spoke good English. Hotel at first seemed like a maze but we were taken to our room on the first floor by a very nice man who pointed out best route to take and how to gain access to beach and get to dinning room- very helpful.
Having read some reviews stating the hotel was over large and confusing I must say we had absolutely no problem. If you like the beach then definitely ask for 1st or 2nd floor room. Our was fabulous and large and had a HUGE bed which was comfortable and pillows were excellent. Rooms were cleaned daily.
Dining room was good and staff very efficient at clearing tables. Plenty of choice at all meals so if you can't find something suitable you must be extremely fussy ! Only one dining room but never felt over crowded or had to wait at any time . Staff were great.
You also have adjoining hotels to visit or a walk along the shops - approx 10 minutes gentle walk to get a taxi for 5 euro.
Would definitely recommend the Iberostar Fuerteventura Palace if traveling down to Jandia.

For my second visit to the Canaries I tried a different hotel than on my first visit. I chose roughly the same location as on my last visit to Fuerteventura, but this time a hotel nearer to the beach of Jandia and one which would hopefully better fit my taste of food. In short: I was not disappointed. Although there were things that could clearly be improved all in all I had a great time. The beach was located next to the hotel and in the evening you had a wonderful view on the ocean. The food was pretty good most of the time. As mentioned before most of the guests were Germans which was fine with me being German myself. I was amazed that most of the staff spoke German to a very high degree as well. The only negative thing I find worth mentioning is that to me the rooms walls and doors seemed rather thin when it came to noises from the other side of the door.

Just returned from this hotel last week. Weather was fantastic, brilliant climate. The hotel is made up by approx 90 percent Germans, but we found them friendly and nice people in general. So here goes..
Hotel itself
The hotel to be honest is too big, reception is on floor ,7 and theirs 8 floors total. If you happen to be on floor 1 or 2 you are looking at a long walk to reception, and the restaurant. At least 5-10 mins on foot. Not much better using the lifts as there is only a couple, and everyone uses them with the guests being more ''senior'' on average. We went with a 9 month baby and were put on the second floor -this was an absolute nightmare as carrying a baby, and taking on flights of stairs with a buggy was no fun.
By day 2 we felt exhausted... We decided to request a room change, which we should of done on day 1.. To the credit of the hotel this request was carried out swiftly. We were moved to floor 6 which is close to everything, pool, restaurant, reception, gym etc.. The view from the room was also prity good. Please if you book this hotel and want to save you legs (bare in mind we are fit at 25) please request either floors 5-7, 4 is pool level which was also ok. If you plan on basking on the beach each day then floor 1 is best..
location
The hotel faces the sea, but is probably 300 years from the ocean which sounds close but you have to cross a red road, and negotiate some steps to get down there. Its not too bad but i was hoping it was a little closer (not easy with a baby). if you exit the hotel at the back towards the beach and turn right there is a shopping center with a supermarket etc aprox 5 mins up the road which is handy. If you carry on walking past you reach quite a long strip of bars, and shops about half and hour further up. Plenty of places to eat there which was nice.

food
Breakfast was good, all the usual stuff you would expect for a 4-5 star hotel. Fried bacon sausages etc and lots of cheeses fruits pastries, cereals etc. Lots of choice and good quality.
Lunch again was good, but was quite samey, 75 percent of the food was the same each day. There were chef's grilling meat and fish in front of you which was the highpoint. This varied from fish, to steak to pork. Lots of nice seafood. Finally was tea which was again good with meat being grilled, and good amount of choice. There was something for everyone really.
My only complaint on the food was there is ONLY 1 restaurant?! very surprising considering the size of the hotel. We tried to avoid until 8pm as if you went at 7 it was literally like a cattle market. It could take 5 minutes of queuing to get the grilled meats. The noise was also tremendous, and was kind of hard to hear yourself think lol. Second disappointing aspect was that although being all inclusive the only food you could get from the beach bar was ham and cheese toasties. Anything else had to be paid for.. Never had this is any other all inclusive.

Staff
All staff were brilliant, some didn't speak brilliant English, but still they were all very helpful and you were never left waiting. As i said previously our room change happened very quickly and easily. The young girl who runs the mini club was especially very good. Great with the kids and spoke all languages VERY well, i think here name was mici..?

Value for money
We went jet2 and paid roughly 1300 quid all inclusive. Well worth it in my opinion.. For a hotel of similar quality in Cyprus we have paid over 2000 previously.

beaches
The beaches are awesome in the area, really can't beat them.. Just make sure you are prepared to see a lot of nudists. We were surprised at the amount. If you would rather not see them, and or have kids stick to the left of the hotel. As people tended to be less revealing..

entertainment
This was prity good to be honest magic shows, live music, and a very good balancing act! Nice to sip cocktails and relax to the entertainment. Get there for 9.15 to get a decent seat..

Overall this is a very good hotel, which is only let down by its shear size and the issue of only having one restaurant. Everything else was very good, and would recommend to most people - other than those with young children (too much walking). We will probably return in the next few years. Big thanks to all the hotel staff that make this hotel really what it is. Easily a 4 star bordering on 5 star.. Excellent value for money.

Room Tip: Request floor 5,6 or 7 with a sea view. These are the closest to all amenities and will save your legs. Please do not allow to be put on 2 or 3.

Not back long from a family trip in Easter

Hotel is a fair trek from the airport about 80km but if you do it during the day the views of beaches on the way is Fab.

The hotel was well maintained and the staff very helpful. Our family room was a great size ,a couple of minor maintenance issues but nothing spectacular. The pool are wasn't crowded and the views onto the beach spectacular.

The beach itself rolls on for miles and is great for walking with the kids

The restaurant and food was brilliant and just what I've become used to at Iberostar .

Weather in April was just right. A great family holiday enjoyed by all.
