“Great little complex, great views.”
Reviewed 30 August 2013

Stayed here August 2013. Lovely little complex, well maintained. Nice pool, friendly little pool bar, ran by Martin, who also runs the Star Bar near the square. Always a friendly atmosphere around the pool. Very spacious balconies, with views of the sea and the mountains.

Just spent a week at Camel Spring. Situated in a quiet part of the island easily accessible, although I would recommend a car. We had a 2 bed top floor apartment which was fresh & well equipped. A few negatives are no air con which would have made the apartment more comfortable at night. The bed linen wad not changed at all during our week, as it was hot this was not really satisfactory. Also the towels were only changed once as we were showering a couple of times a day this was really not good enough. Having said that though the complex is quiet & relaxing.

We were a group of 4 senior citizens and had a top floor apartment. there is only 1 flight of stairs from the street and 2 flights from the pool area. The 2nd bedroom was extremely small (we changed the layout of the beds to afford us room to get around them).
The sheets could do with being changed more than the once a week and the towels need replacing, they were a little threadbare and a bit frayed in places.
Having said all the negatives we had a wonderful time. Being so close to the beach we spent long relaxing days there, hiring 2 loungers and umbrella (10 euros for the day) The complex is kept very clean, the staff are helpful and there is a good choice of eateries within easy walking distance.
The restaurant we visited most during the 2 week stay was 5th Avenue. The food is great, very reasonably priced and plenty of it.
Ava the waitress is friendly, funny and very attentive. She taught us some Spanish while learning to write English by copying from the menu which caused a laugh every visit we made. There is an outdoor heater, which was needed as the evenings got very chilly.

We stayed here for 6 nights in February and were very happy.

Staff are friendly and multilingual - reception open throughout the day and they organise various social events if you're into that sort of thing (we booked via Booking.com - be aware that this is mainly a timeshare setup so most of the guests are of an older demographic and regulars).

This peculiarity is also the resort's greatest strength - all common areas were clean, tidy, manicured - and the apartment was clean and comfortable - the bathroom in our apartment was particularly modern. One could complain that some of the furniture was a bit dated... but it was scrupulously clean and I didn't feel it was at all shabby. Kitchen was equipped above and beyond what I expected - again, most likely because they are keeping to the standards expected by timeshare owners.

Daily cleaning service was good - we only had 1 mishap when we returned in the evening after a day's sightseeing to find about 30 dead/dying cockroaches around the apartment. Again, let's not overreact here, I wouldn't call it an infestation, a rich and varied fauna is par for the course in Lanzarote - I think one of the maids left a window open without spraying the ledge with insect-repellant, it did not reoccur for the duration. We disposed of the critters Bear Grylls-style - not a big deal.

Wifi was not flawless - but was passable. We were staying in the ground floor apartment in block E, and the connection was fine apart from the evenings 6pm-8pm (peak time, so to be expected).

We loved the general ambience of Camel's Spring - a bit more mature than the average complex, so no drunken antics or loutishness, just peace and quiet. It's located on the outskirts of Costa Teguise, so it's a good 15 minute walk to the main strip (tacky as hell, avoid if you can).

I'd also happily recommend the restaurant at the bottom of the hill "Casa Felix" - the service was great and the food very decent. The 50m walk was perfect for those delicate evenings recovering for severe and reckless sunburn where we couldn't be bothered venturing further afield.

All in all, the price/quality ratio is excellent here, I'd definitely consider returning here again should I find myself in Costa Teguise in the future.

Room Tip: We stayed in a ground floor apartment, E block, the bathroom was very modern we had a terrace openin...

We traveled the week before Eastern and had a cheap but very good accommodation.

Although we traveled as a couple, we had a very big appartment (2 bedrooms, 2 showers, ...) and the bed (mattress) was excellent. It was clean (daily cleaning service!).

The appartment is situated very close to the sea (150m). A "Spar" is very nearby (+-5 minutes walking distance) to get food and other stuff. There are good restaurants on walking distance and the neighbourhood was rather calm, which was great (not too much noise etc.).

The people at the reception were polite. We prepared our own breakfast (self catering) and had it on the balcony. It was always more than 20°C. and +- at noon the sun started to shine on the balcony.

I miss it already!

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor (not on the ground floor) which may give more privacy on your balcony.

This is a resort that I would recommend to everybody. It's situated in a quite area, with perfect view for beautifyl Canarian landscape. We spent there one wonderful week. The apartments are very comfortable, with a lot of space and nice furniture. Everything is very clean and good preserved. I have also to admit that Camel staff are just great. They are very nice, friendly and open to help. We arrived late in the night, and despite the reception is closed during night, everything was prepared for us.
