“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

Long overdue in writing this review. Stayed here for ten days in May and it was fantastic. Having never done all inclusive before we were a bit apprehensive but we needn't have been, everything was great. Ok, the food in hotels can be a bit repetitive but we never struggled here. However if you want five star quality then please go to a five star. This is a great value hotel where every one of the staff were extremely polite and helpful. It is spotlessly clean thanks to the hard working staff. Lots of people were moaning about the weather, which I admit wasn't great but we got out and about and had a brilliant time. Will definitely return here but for two weeks next time!

Dear Richard,

Thank you for writing this review with. It doesn´t matter if it´s overdue, we are more than happy to see that you did not forget us!
It´s great for us to see that our guests had a wonderful stay in our hotel, because that is exactly what we want and what we are working for.
The weather in may is like a lottery, you can be very lucky and have summer temperature or a bit unlucky and cloudy and windy weather. Nevertheless, there are always good chances to have better weather than in the UK. We are looking forward to see you soon again!

Best regards,

Manuel Coppi

It was my first holiday with my girlfriend and to be honest we couldn't have picked a better place, the staff where amazing, the food was good (albeit a bit repetitive but we were there for 2 weeks and i wasn't expecting
Much different anyway from previous all inclusive experiences. The hotel facilities and services are great and the Animation team are second to none especially (apologies if the names are spelt completely wrong) Evelene, Marieka and Daphne.
The hotel is situated just on the seafront and there are plently of places to go and see not just around the hotel but also slightly further afield.

All in all a great holiday and would Defiently consider going agar

We stayed here for a week earlier this month. Check in was perfect. Glass of champagne is a lovely touch. Our flight was delayed & we missed dinner. A salad was available for us at 10pm which wasn't great, but grateful for the effort. Our room was spotless & nicely refreshed everyday. Restaurant Food was good especially breakfast. A lot of variety. Having read other reviews, we had not expected this but definitely plenty of choice & good quality. Restaurant staff as with all staff were friendly & helpful, maybe a little too quick to clear our plates though. It made our meals feel a little rushed. Pool side was nice & good choice of drinks included in our package available in the pool bar. Food in the bar though was not good, it never tasted fresh or looked anyway appetising. Pool area was very clean. Weather was just okay - very breezy. It is not just a refreshing breeze it is a strong breeze! We didn't stay in for the night time entertainment.. Plenty to do & see around the hotel.. Some lively pubs & some good restaurants if you fancy something different from the hotel dinners. We purchased wifi for 7 days. Speed was fine but you had to constantly log in, every time u moved to a new area of the hotel. Hotel offered loads of little up selling ideas such as freshly squeezed orange juice & wines, I thought this was a nice idea. We also rented a safe for our week which cost a little over €12. If I don't think we will visit here again but only due to the breeze, but I would definitely recommend the hotel for a couples break..

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week in July. Overall the hotel was good, very clean and staff were always extremely helpful. Pool was always clean and plenty of sun beds. Originally when we arrived we were in a ground floor room with no balcony, we asked to be moved and paid a small fee and were given a lovely family room with a big balcony on the top floor. Cleaned everyday and towels changed. Food at the hotel was what you would expect for a 3* all inclusive, repetitive but always something to eat and plenty of food throughout the day. The drinks were okay not much choice but for what we paid it was a bargain! Costa teguise itself is very British, lots of okay restaurants but if u want authentic Spain here is not your place. Beaches were lovely but very very windy so not comfortable to sit and sunbathe as you get covered head to toe in sand! Never been somewhere so windy, but tanned lovely thanks to it! Wouldn't visit again as it wasn't really our kind of place but if u enjoy this location then would definitely recommend this hotel!

First of all the hotel itself is lovely. It's clean, well maintained, right next to the beach and the staff (every single one we spoke to) is extremely helpful, and the entertainment staff (especially the young guy who does the kids-club, had the grown ups in hysterics with his antics) are fabulous! I did pistol shooting, rifle shooting, killer darts, killer pool, water polo, water volley ball. There were other activities to do also, perfect if your partner just want's to lounge by the pool ALL day. As in a few other reviews the food can be repetitive, LOTS of pork-dishes and you have to time your arrival in the restaurant perfectly or the dishes are luke-warm-to-cold by the time serve them. We went 3 weeks ago and it was 'off season' apparently so not much on the beaches in the way of loungers or activities, you have to go further afield to find jet-ski's or even sun loungers lol. Puerto de Carmen is more 'touristy' i think but takes an hour to get to by bus, or a 25 euro cab fare each way. We went all inclusive, the free drinks were brilliant and San Miguel beer on tap. The entertainment varied (as it always does in these places) from pretty darn good to pretty darn awful but so bad it's funny (1 man and his piano singing an entire set in German whilst his wife twirled endlessly across the dancefloor was an experience!) Overall we wouldn't go there again BUT we still had a good time, before you book make sure what your looking for is there at the time of year your going or you may end up disappointed. also if your planning to watch the entertainment arrive early!! there's not a lot of room in the entertainment hall and you may end up sitting or standing at the back of the hall watching the acts through the gap in the queue for the bar which runs infront of the last row of seating. And lastly being where it is it can be VERY WINDY!!! get towel-clips off ebay to stop it flying away when you set-up poolside! but when the wind dies down you'll feel how hot it is and thank god for the wind! (and the pool)

Room Tip: Ask for above ground level room as the ground floor rooms are right on next to the poolside. I prefe...

Just back from a two week break. The entertainment staff during the day were very good and were also good sports. We arrived at lunchtime and were told to go the the restaurant, have our lunch and then our room would be ready for us when we got back - it was. The only downside was that on only one occasion our room was cleaned before lunchtime, on three occasions it was after 5pm before the room was cleaned. This will not stop us going back again another time though.

Room Tip: We booked a family room so that we had an area where we could sit without having to sit on the bed.

Had a fantastic holiday at the end of June and the hotel was mostly OK. Clean public areas and large rooms. A double bed is two singles pushed together and the beds are quite hard. We had a kitchenette in our room, which was good for keeping water cold in the fridge but there was no crockery/cutlery so you can't cook anything. The all inclusive food was a bit hit and miss. One evening I was served raw chicken from the show chef - it wasn't just a bit pink in the middle, it was completely raw inside. The Canarian potatoes (though far too salty some days) were nice, as were the Canarian red and green sauces. The main restaurant is in a really low ceilinged room in the basement, with no windows so it's not really got a nice holiday atmosphere. We missed out on both the themed nights because they were the 1st and 2nd nights we were there and both fully booked already.

The pool is a good size and there's never too many people in it (it is a bit cool). Although all of the hotel literature said they would not allow people to reserve sunbeds with towels, there was absolutely noone stopping people doing this. And it was ridiculous. On our second morning we got up just before 7am to go on a day trip, looked out of the window and quite a few people had already put towels down. By breakfast time, it was impossible to find two free sunbeds together. Very frustrating as most people wouldn't occupy them until about lunchtime, when it started to get hot. We took to going out in the days and coming back around 4-5. By then you could usually get a sunbed and enjoy the last hours of sunshine. Would definitely recommend hiring a car, you can see all of the island that way.

The beach is really close, just out of the back gate. And there are cafes and restaurants with free wifi. We tried windsurfing on the last day and really enjoyed it. Make sure you ask the front desk staff about a shower room on the last day if you have an evening flight. Noone seemed to know about them so we were able to get one for 30mins just before our transfer, which was great and allowed us to make the most of our last day. Our Thomsons rep told us that the hotel had no courtesy room or shower facilities, but they do, you just have to ask on the morning of your last day.

Overall it was a decent place to base ourselves for a great holiday. The all inclusive drinks choice is a lot wider than other all inclusive places I've been to and everything is clean and well maintained. We wouldn't come back, but that's because Lanzarote is a fairly small island and we feel like we've seen enough of it now that we'd run out of things to do if we every went back. Very enjoyable week though.
