The first thing I would like to do is to say a "Big Thank You" to the Manager Manuel Coppi and all his staff from reception, waiters, cooks, bar staff, cleaners, pool attendance, maintenance guys, entertainment team for a very enjoyable holiday. Manuel, you do a excellent job in running your hotel and what I do like is that you create a good friendly atmosphere with your staff and this friendliness comes out towards your customers in the way they are treated. So Thanks.
My Review, The hotel is in a excellent position, the nice sandy beach is only two minutes away, the square and shops are right outside of the hotel, the area is flat and nice to walk out at night, the area is spotless, nice shops, restaurants, places to drink.
The hotel is also spotless and crisp both inside and out, there is a staff member waiting outside when you arrive to welcome you to the hotel and guides you to the lovely reception area, there is a glass of champagne waiting for you when you have checked in. The bedrooms are very nice, we had a sea view with balcony, all the bedroom have balcony's with either sea or pool views, we found the bed comfortable, nice bathroom with walk in shower and hairdryer, wardrobe with safe (which you have to pay for) and fridge for your free bottle water every day (you cant drink the tap water). The only little complaint we have and this applies with your room ending in N after your room number is that there is no were near enough coat hangers in the wardrobe and please, please you need a mirror over the dressing table for the ladies to do there hair and makeup and not to do it in the bathroom as this does cause a few problems, this was said by quite a number of guest's and was the only complaint, so I would take a few coat hangers. The rooms with no N are absolutely fine for wardrobe space but still need the missing mirror.
The swimming pool is small but once again big enough for the hotel, there is a life guard there and he also gives out the pool towels, there appears to be plenty of sunbeds, but once again those dreaded tourist who put there towels on the beds and then seem to disappear off the planet, but that's is nearly everywhere now. By the pool area there is a snack bar which serves, drinks, meals, ice cream and has sandwiches late afternoon, the waiters come round the pool area in the morning and afternoon with a refreshing drink and nice they are to.
The restaurant is also spotless, we found the food to be very good, lots of choice from meat, chicken, fish, paella, pizza, always hot, always fresh, the bread is freshly made and is delicious. The restaurant does get full around 7.30 but the waiters soon find you a seat after a few minutes, they do clear your dirty plates from the table quite quickly, all the waiters are very friendly and helpful.
The entertainment is above reception and so is the bar, when we were there the entertainment was absolutely brilliant, the beer though are only served in half pint glasses, the shorts are served in normal glasses, they don't serve in glasses after 11.45pm, only in plastic glasses and finish at 12pm, we enjoyed our drinks near the pool after 12pm, nice area.
The hotel at night is very quite and the air condition works well.
We stayed at the Luabay sister hotel 2 years ago ( The Be-Live Lanzarote) which is also all-inclusive and is rated at 4 star, not much around it, but the Luabay is rated at 3 star plus, we enjoyed the holiday, food, drink and staff much better at the Luabay and the area. My daughter, grandson, my wife and I had really lovely week and all of us had the holiday blues after coming home. By the way if decide to do any trips around the beautiful island go down the steps to the rear of the hotel towards the beach, through the metal gate and on the left you will see a travel shop, book any trips there as they are half price of the welcome meeting and are fully insured, they have to be because that is the law of the island.
We had a fantastic time, I would not hesitate is sending any of my friends there and once again Mauuel Coppi......Thanks for running a well organised business. Please do not read those negative comments because they are not justified. Thanks and enjoy

Room Tip: Sea View, nice waking up in a morning to it

Dear Terry,

Thank you so much for so many kind words to all our hotel staff. We really appreciate your feedback which shows us that we are on the right track.
It is very important for us that we get back feedback from our guests and if it is such a great comment like yours even better!!!!
Regarding the sun beds at the pool, let me just inform you and future guests that we normally do not have any problems, most of the time there are sun beds on the terrace available and if this is not the case, guests may always ask our lifeguard who will take off the towels of reserved sun beds.

Thank you again for your kind words & we are looking forward to welcome you soon back again in our Luabay Lanzarote Beach.

Best regards,

Manuel Coppi

I stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend from the 24/7/14 until 31/7/14 in room 6214. Once we arrived we received a glass of champagne each which was a lovely touch! Then we were given a free upgrade to a superior room which was huge. On our first night the air con didn't come on but the technician came really fast to fix it!

POOL
The pool is huge but can be very cold but once in its not too bad. The animation team often provided pool games such as water polo and volley ball.

LOCATION
I have never stayed in Costa Teguise up until now but it is a beautiful resort! The beaches are lovely and there's plenty of shops and bars right at your door step. It does get quite cloudy in the mornings but after 11ish its more or less clear skies. The wind is really cooling too but not let the weather fool you! I got burnt on the first day which was mostly cloudy!

SERVICES
Every day a sun care adviser would come sometime in the afternoon. She has loads of tips to avoid sun burn and to catch a tan. She also sells sun creams and sunburn recovery lotions which works so well! The reception staff are always smiling and very happy to help. The restaurant staff were quick to clear your plates. The cleaners were very professional and made the room look beautiful! The staff come around the pool with cocktails twice a day which was lovely.

FOOD
It can be very repetitive and I am a fussy eater so I struggled to find something but my boyfriend had no problem with the food.

TIP- I really recommend that you book with Thomson or First choice because the rep (Jags) was there the moment we got on the coach until the very end of the holiday. Shes really helpful and did everything to get us onto a trip which was more or less fully booked! I recommend the Catlanza trip! its really fun!

Overall I really enjoyed myself and I would definitely come back again!

Room Tip: Room 6214 looks across the pool bar and the pool

We stayed for 10 nights from 14/7/14 & booked two twin rooms, travelling with an 11 & 14 year old. Keep reading as there are some good tips & info in the last section I've written :)

In brief, the whole holiday was FANTASTIC .... hotel…food…location!! With special thanks to Marieka & Evelyn on the Entertainment team – see Entertainment below .

Rooms 4304 and 4302N Block 4 - Before our holiday I emailed the hotel directly asking if our rooms could be on the same floor & if possible next to each other with a pool view. On arrival we were told that in order to meet our request, they had upgraded one of our rooms to a Superior – for free! Both the twin & superior room were immaculate, great quality furniture & bedding. The superior bathroom was huge but the twin room bathroom was a little tight. The rooms were cleaned every day to a high standard & linen/towels changed regularly. Lovely touch by the house keepers who decorated the beds with flowers every day. Hot water for showers available all day long.

Drinks – Great choice & soft drinks were not cheap copies, proper Pepsi / Fanta /Sprite served. Staff were very generous with measures of spirits !! Tea/Coffee/Chocolate available all day. Drinks were available from the bars but staff also walked round the pool with trays of cocktails & iced Baileys throughout the day.

Main Restaurant – A huge array of fresh food every breakfast, lunch & evening; always kept hot (or cold where necessary) & well stocked. Breakfast was varied croissants & pastries, full English, pancakes, omelettes or fresh fruit salad. There was also a meat & cheese selection available. Lunch & evening meals were fantastic, again the choice was impressive; huge roasted joints, veg, fish, chicken, veal, beef, turkey, several pasta dishes, paella & pizza’s. A tonne of puddings, ice creams & fruit available. No booking required in this restaurant.

Pool Bar Café – A much smaller selection of food buffet style (but still great quality). Breakfast was pastries, fruit & yogurts. From noon until 3pm a small buffet was served, example day chips, burgers, salad & a choice of pasta dish. At 3pm sandwiches, fresh fruit & biscuits/cakes were brought out. Ice cream was available all day.

Staff – Reception staff were efficient, helpful & had good knowledge of the local area for buses etc. Restaurant staff were REALLY friendly & they couldn’t do enough for you. Entertainment staff were the BEST!! See Entertainment below…

Entertainment Daytime (which made our holiday) – Throughout the day the entertainment team encouraged guests to join in the extensive program, which included, water polo, water volleyball, rifle & pistol shooting, Sjoelbak (shuffle board game), mini golf, ping pong, Zumba, stretching, aqua aerobics, darts, killer pool & petanque. A real mix of nationalities & ages 11 – 65+ joined in. ***WE WOULD LIKE TO SAY A MASSIVE THANK-YOU TO Marieka & Evelyn WHO REALLY MADE THE HOLIDAY FOR US. Their enthusiasm & sense of humour made us laugh every day. Danny, they are a great asset to your team***

Entertainment Evening – Great fun with games like Giant Connect Four, Bingo & various other ‘warm up’ activities then at 9.30pm usually a show. We saw a 'tongue in cheek' Grease show by the team – very funny. Other nights professional acts were booked which were really impressive, I particularly enjoyed the Bollywood & the African shows.

General Info
-FREE 2 litre bottles of water available from reception - just help yourself

- Pool, as my daughter & I suffer with eczema I was worried the pool would be salt water. I think it was treated salt water, however it only had a slight salty taste but was very clean & really lovely to swim in. Much bigger than it appears on the pictures. You can also hire pool towels for a small deposit.

-Sun beds at pool, as with most hotels guests save sunbeds. There were loads of sunbeds available but some didn’t have a parasol. If like us you need some shade, we got up at around 8am to pop down & put towels on (& we were by no means the earliest). It was a little frustrating to see that some beds had been saved (with parasols) & their occupants would turn up at 3pm.

-There was a mini-kids club which looked well attended, probably for 5-11 years (?) our children are too old too attend. Again staff were totally emerged in the entertainment of the kids – all day & night!!

-Our first 5 days the hotel seemed to be 30% English 25% Spanish (?) 45% German/Nethlands. Then it seemed to change to 45% English 30% Spanish, 25% German/Netherlands. However, the staff were so multi-lingual, all nationalities joined in the entertainment & activities.

-No booking required for Main Restaurant just turn up (tables always available). No swimsuits allowed & men are required to put on a top. Bar café – swim suits allowed.

-For parents taking babies – lots of high chairs available in restaurant.

-On Tues/Wed/Thurs the café bar turned into a themed restaurant in the evening – booking required. Spanish & Mexican nights.

-A well equipped gym that was clean

-TIP take some shoe laces to tie your swimsuits & towels to our balcony – it very windy and things blow away!! Pegs just don’t do the job ;)

- Courtesy rooms are available for half an hour or FREE on your last day- pop to reception on the day you're leaving early (8am) and you can book one half an hour slot per number of rooms you have .

Room Tip: Block 4 - 4304 huge superior room 4302N is a twin room - however the maids cupboard does take a lit...

I stayed for 2 weeks between 19th May and 2nd June with my fiancée.

Everything at the hotel was brilliant, the rooms were very clean and food was great, with lots of options.

We were upgraded to a family room when we arrived at the hotel. Animation team were brilliant, as they put games on throughout the day, with certificates given for winning, as well as extra prizes to winning 5 and 10 certificates.

The area is brilliant, lots of little shops and nice beaches, as well as a good bus service to Arecife. Trips available at the hotel were also great such as the trip to the volcano.

Would definitely recommend, we will be returning.

Room Tip: Ask for a room without an N as they are the larger rooms.
