“great hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 August 2011

I stayed in this hotel last year, but this trip took half board. The breakfast menu as before was great, sadly the evening meal was a sad disappointment, boring, bland and I chose to eat out in the locality rather than eat in the hotel. Outside are two seating areas by the pool, it would have been good if one of those seating areas was non smoking. I still recommend this as a good central place to stay, comfortable and clean with helpful staff.

Dear Guest,
We deeply sorry you didn´t contact personally although I am every day morning and afternoon at restaurant door and fully available If you ask for me at reception. And yes I can defend this hotel with facts I exposed. The reader may judge these data by itself.
About the food we cater here for 6 nationalities: English, Germans, Italians, French, Spanish, polish, and every guest in our hotel have their preferences. It is not fair to judge the buffet for the English sausages. Holidays are about changing priorities, places, food or routine, away or our comfort zone.
The composition of breakfast to choose from: Dried fruit (raisins, dates, sultanas, apricots, mix peanut or corn), 6 Salads (cucumber, tomato, lettuce, corn, beets, onions)
6 types of Sausages (gouda cheese, ham or turkey, bologna, sausage, salami, and craft galantines), 5 types of pastries from (croissants, buns, muffins, sponge cake, donuts, saloons), dietary corner with orange, grapefruit cheese, bread, diet biscuits, rice crackers, diet jams, margarine, skim milk, various types of yogurts and cereals and various fruits without missing the canary banana and 2 jam packed and 4 artisanal jams Lanzarote (cactus, Mango-papaya, banana ... etc)
Hot: Hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, tomatoes or roasted vegetables, English-style Bacon, sausage, beans without missing our hotcakes daily.
Iron: with pancakes (with syrup, honey or Nutella), 2 varieties of omelets, mixed sandwich or fried eggs, tomato, oregano and oil.
Cava, juices (tropical, pineapple, orange and tomato and variety of coffees and teas (cappuccino, cola cao, melita black, black one machine)
Breads: mold and brown buns and bank, German bread, loaf bread, sandwich bread and payes type.
To make a long post I will summarize this lunch consists of variety of simple and compound 8 hot salads and grill dishes on the terrace times a week or show cooking inside.
At dinner we have 5 themed dinners: Mexican, Italian, Canaria, Spanish, Oriental. Besides the variety of hot dishes and salads every night there is a daily roast: Leg beef, pork tenderloin, roast turkey, pork leg Canarian style, grilled chicken or shrimp and grilled salmon. Not forgetting the desserts not purchased externally but made fresh pastry every day by our resident pastry: a real delight for the senses.
To our future guest´s please do not hesitate to contact me, I am always available to my clients and will be happy to listen to your comments in person.
Sincerely,
Laura Diaz - Deputy Manageress

First thing, the airport... what a fantastic landing! The track is extremely close to the ocean and it seems that we're going to land on water. Awesome! The hotel was very good, the room was very spacious with a great view (all rooms have view to the sea and pool area). The food was also very good, with a lot of variety. I stayed in full-board for a week and I did not have any complaint. The hotel has a lot of space on the pool area and I only leaved the hotel to make some trips arround the island. There's a small beach in front of the hotel, but I didn't even went there. The island is like another planet, it seems like Mars, spectacular landscape! We also went to Isla Graciosa. If you have the chance, you must go there. It's a small island nearby Lanzarote, almost desert. We went there by catamaran and stop at what seemed to be a desert beach. The water was extremely clean, we could see small fish from the boat!
Another place you have to go is to the José Saramago house. José Saramago was the portuguese literature Nobel, who leaved in Lanzarote. He died last year. So, if you want to visit a unique place, Lanzarote is the choice.

We Just came back from a weeks break with 2 older children (13 + 15)
Sorry to disapoint all - but we didn't go on holiday to look closesly at the decor (i.e carpets)
The hotel and facilities were top class - the guests were mailnly spanish (which shows its a good hotel) geraman and british
Great choice from the restaurant - plenty to keep belly happy
Pool was great - a lot of bed reserving - but a lot of beds to go around!
Pool bar was great apart from the lack of snacks
We have never been to a hotel that we didnt have to que much for anything
Costa teguse was the quietest we have seen it
this was our 7th visit to Lanzerote and we would recomend this hotel highly
The Grand was relaxing / pleasent and in a great location

Room Tip: floor 5 was geat views

Me and my partner stayed here all inclusive and had a fantastic holiday! The hotel was very clean and in a brilliant location (right by the beach and shops). Having looked at other hotels whilst exploring Costa Teguise, I am convinced we picked the best one out of all of them :D The pool area is nice and big and you can always get a sunbed. We explored the whole island while we were here but soon realised we actually enjoyed staying around the hotel more than darting around the island. The only two small problems I came across was that the food isnt labelled up very well, i.e doesnt say what meat is in the dishes (cant eat fish!) but there was normally an english speaking waiter to let me know what was in what. Once i found the right foods for me, it was fine. Loads to choose from and the deserts were irrestable! And my other small (probably selfish) problem was that the staff didnt speak great english but you could also argue..why do i not speak a word of spanish! All in all we had a fantastic time here and would go back in a heart beat!
