I have made a complaint regarding the awful treatment I received by this hotel when I stayed in May. I have written to the company directly, and have been in an on going dispute with On the Beach for 3 months. I finally took the complaint to ABTA and have just been told this company is a non-ABTA company! So that's it I have no more avenues to go down. So if you want to be spoken to like a child by Gloria on reception, (and at one point had me in tears of exasperation) have towels that are see through and quite frankly I have better floor cloths, broken sun beds, chained up sunbeds then go for it!

Small hotel, friendly atmosphere, 15 minute walk to the closest beach that was rocky however there is a free bus for all inclusive (a small charge if not) from the hotel 3 times a day (10am, 2pm & 6pm - returning from the beach at 5 past the hour) dropping you off across the road from a lovely sandy beach where there is also windsurfing. A 2 minute walk takes you into the main shopping area where there are restaurants and bars, a good area to visit in the evening also. Many bars have free WIFI for customers too.

Food was good quality most of the time, but not much variation. Pasta and sauces for dinner and tea time everyday as well as chips and salads with a couple of rice dishes. There was also a choice of broccoli, peas and carrots. Dishes we tried were fish in a sauce with mushrooms or veg, pork in black pepper sauce and freshly cooked chicken on a hot plate. Friday night there was a BBQ outside by the pool for additional cost of 5 euro P/P for all inclusive with a variety of meats - chicken, pork, sausage, beef, baked potatoes and salad with a salsa sauce and Saturday night was Chinese which was a nice change. Pool snacks were pizza or burgers with chips, only tried the pizzas which were nice.

Drinks had to be ordered via the bars but there was a large selection including coffee liqueur and Coconut liqueur as well as soft drinks, wine and lager.

The charge for the safe in the room was quite high but you do get a refunded deposit.

Rooms were cleaned every other day and on one occasion when our room was missed a quick visit to reception and it was sorted within 30 minutes.

Pools cleaned daily, area kept tidy. If no beds available there were always seats around bar.

Room Tip: We had a first floor room in Block C, sun most of the day on the balcony and until about 7.30pm over looking the pool. Some rooms have bedroom windows and balcony's unreachable from other balcony's/stairwells etc others have windows accessible from stair wells however doors and windows were very secure in our room.

The apartments were very basic but not a bad size not very clean. Toilet flush was temperamental. No air con in the room or at all any where in the hotel, wifi and tv were extra even though we were all inclusive. Drinks given in small plastic cups meaning unnecessary queues and short measures. Only 5 parasols available around the pool for the entire hotel. The most disappointing thing was that the linens were not changed every day. Towels were grey and stained and though they were put out to be changed were often just hung up again. Sheets not changed regularly. Hotel maid service only every other day and no guarantee that the linens would be changed.

Entertainment was not provided every evening and not put on until 10 pm at night. All inclusive ended at 11 pm. Entertainment area far too cramped too many table put in a small place very stuffy and hot despite door being left open.

Food was plentiful but limited in choice usually pasta, chips or rice dish every evening, salad, limited sweets and fruit.

Thoroughly disappointing hotel and I would not recommend this at all.

On arrival we were told our room was not available because of a burst pipe ( soon realised that it seamed most people had been told the same story to move them to where ever they could ) , and had to be moved to a temporary room till the the morning , which was a room for disabled people . (Room E103) but we thought ok what's 1 night
Next day we went to reception to ask about getting moved to our new room and the receptionist asked why we were complaining . We simply said we were told that we were moved due to the now famous BURST PIPE EXCUSE , so after some time we got another room on the 3rd floor which was better
The hotel is not a 4 star as we were told more like 2 star, the pictures online look nice, clean and modern but in reality the hotel is tired looking, the pics must have been taken some time ago.
The food was below average , I think there was a fire sale on spaghetti
Glasses and plates in the restaurant aka the dungeon were dirty
We stayed 9 nights and never got the beds changed once. Maids came to room every second day.The towels were changed twice and the second time they were changed was the day before departure(hand towels were not changed)we used a hand towel as a bath mat as we didn't have one this was taken from the floor and hung back on the rail dirty! By the maids. We ran out of toilet paper when asked the maid for more we were told we couldn't get more until the next day as this was when our room would be cleaned!
The pool area was as sticky as a pub floor on a Sunday morning and can't get a sun lounger till 9.30 ish when they were unchained
Good points most staff were helpful especially Danielle , we met loads of good people which made up for some of the disappointment , there are loads of places to eat if you go self catering and the beach is lovely

Room Tip: A room facing the front as appears to be quieter

Just returned home from a 10 day holiday in lanzarote,
The hotel it's self was pretty good, it's on a massive complex but the thing is I didn't think there were enough staff for the size of the place, the food was shocking + VERY repetitive, as far as the entertainment went well that was just abismal!!!!!
There were a couple of friendly staff there but we had a couple of conversations with other English holiday makers + they agreed but we felt that the staff were very very rude to the English but would bend over backwards to help the French + Spanish, ( manners don't cost a penny in my book ) or are we just to polite??
Shan't be returning to this complex again for sure
