“Can't fault......but”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 January 2014 via mobile

This was our 2nd time staying here for New Year 4x adults and last year I gave it 5*, but this year only 4*....things have changed.....

Rooms faultless, clean bedding & towels 6 days of the 7 we we stayed

Went b&b....breakfast not bad (bread changed from last year....thank you)
Only negative thing was the eggs....the chef couldn't keep on top of them & there was never back up, plus the yolk was always cold :(.....yes I could of asked for sunny side, but I didn't.....
Also the tray they usually went in was awful...never cleaned or replaced with a new...Infact why they were there later is beyond me........always empty as we always had to wait

Pool area...... no problems on getting a sun bed.....flys...there still there :) pain.....

From visiting last year the main change for me this time was the free Wifi, you now have to pay for it €10 for a week
I spent more time at the reception the first couple of days as I kept having problem after problem, the reception staff were very helpful on solving my problem
This charge only allows you to log in one divice........why if you can't log out & let someone else use it ???? You've paid for it after all
I stayed in block 5 and unfortunately this doesn't pickup Wifi (which I knew last year) but.....if your paying for it I believe you should get it...maybe a rooter should be installed for users who have paid who can't pick it up

Hotel is very central to the beach along with many bars who offer free Wifi

All in I personally had a lovely time

Once again if your a family with prams etc... Or not good walking up stairs please ask for lower ground...no lifts

Dear guest,
Thank you very much for your comments that I have shared with my team for its review, and to which we have given our full attention.
We truly appreciate your second visit for New Year and your kind comments about our hotel. But I must apologize for the inconveniences you have experienced.
We are currently working to extend the wifi service to all the apartments and to improve the signal in the entire complex. Hopefully everything will be ready by the end of the year.
We would like to welcome you and your family to Lanzarote Gardens again.
Best wishes,

Iris Berger

3rd time at Lanzarote Gardens...and we will be back again. Can't fault it. Daughter was gutted when it came to an end. The animation team work very hard, whether it be the kids clubs or adult activities; or the shows in the evening. We were half board and loved the food, one problem is eating too much. Also, the coffee at breakfast could be better. All the staff in the hotel are friendly and the place has a nice vibe. Highly recommend this hotel if you have kids.

Room Tip: Block 3 has nice views of pool - rooms above ground level for better views, but no lift so if don...

We stayed here for 10 days, half board, at the beginning of November and it was the perfect holiday for our little family of 2 adults and 2 children (3 yrs & 16 months). Not many hotels propose mini clubs for under 4's, so it was the main reason we chose 3* Lanzarote Gardens, as opposed to some of the other 4 star hotels in the H10 chain. The baby club (6 months to 3 years included) did not disappoint: run twice a day by the hotel, free of charge, it keeps the little ones entertained while the parents can enjoy a little relaxation time by the pool or the beach. Please note, parents cannot go too far away while the kids are at the club, you have to be a maximum of 10 minutes away in case of emergencies.

The apartments were spotless and cleaned 6 days a week. Towels and bedsheets were changed when necessary. The hotel grounds and pool complex were highly maintained and both maintenance and housekeeping staff worked extremely hard. We were able to get wifi (for a supplement) in our ground-floor apartment (both of which we had requested with the reception team at the time of booking). The fully-equipped kitchen and large terrace were a bonus.

In November, one of the pools was heated (not that warm, but enough to enjoy a refreshing swim when it got too hot). Temperatures during our stay varied from 20°C to 27°C, with a warm wind every day. The wind did get strong at times, especially on the beach (5 minutes' walk), when the waves were a bit too high for adults, let alone children! Needless to say, we spent more time at the pool than the beach, but the kids were never bored. With a mini disco every day and a fantastic animation programme both for kids and adults, you really didn't have the need to venture far from the hotel.

The food was plentiful and the quality was as to be expected for such a large buffet restaurant. There was plenty of choice, my only complaint would be a lack of vegetables for children, but it would seem to be the case everywhere in Costa Teguise, where typically "English" dishes are in abundance. I would like to add that the restaurant staff also work incredibly hard and have a lot to deal with in such a high-capacity restaurant. A huge thank you to all the staff for making our first family holiday so enjoyable!

Room Tip: For families with young children requiring pushchairs, ask for a ground-floor room as there are no l...

We have just returned and I have to say we all had a brilliant time at this hotel. Our room was lovely with a big terrace, lovely for sitting out on. Rooms were cleaned every day, we could have had clean towels every day if we wished. We found the food was average but only had a few breakfasts there all week so not able to comment on an evening meal. All the staff were very polite and helpful. No pushing you into doing any of the activities, the kids club looked fun and always busy. You can hire pool towels for the week, helpful to keep suitcase weight down! Only grumble was our noisy neighbours but not a lot we could do about them! We definitely be going back.

We stayed here over Xmas till New Years Eve and had an enjoyable time.
Main points are:

1. Room: Good size, clean and tidy and relatively comfy beds. Our room was on the top floor, no. 334 which had sun all day, good views of the pool with the sea behind. Look closely and you'll see cracked tiles, discoloured grout etc. but nothing to really moan about here.

Grounds: Very well kept, two pools the largest which was freezing, the smaller where they did water polo was heated just right. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The thing I did like was the layout of the hotel, everything relatively close to wherever your room is. Sports and tennis courts were excellent as was the kids play area. The entertainment bar, pool bar were great. Two things they don't have which we'd have liked would be a gym and a sand volleyball court.

Food/Drink, Oh where do you start. Some of the dishes cooked in sauces were wonderful, full of flavour but you've got to pick your moment, ideally when it's been replenished. Veg's, one day great, next day so-so. Soup, home made and generally nice. Try the coconut cake when it's out, you'll be back for more!! The wine was ok too. So yeah could be better, but we never had a meal out and we usually do!
Drinks in the bars were fine, hardly ever waiting to be served. On A/I serves till midnight too!!

Entertainment: As good as you'll find. BUT why they all have Sunday off, so no activities during that day baffled me.

Summary: A great place, no wow factor, but good value for the money we paid. The one thing we noticed that did stand out, ok it was Xmas which could have something to do with it, is the amount of people who return here year after year, thirteen one family we chatted to had visited, which proves the Lanzarote Gardens must be doing something right!!

Arrived boxing day (our mums 80th birthday) 10 of us on all inclusive for a week. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The rooms are spacious, having a living area with kitchen facilities and a good sized bedroom. The balconies are large (we even had a sunbed on ours) and some rooms have 2 balconies. There are more than enough sunbeds (you really don't have to get up and save them with a towel) some people still do!! The restaurant is light and airy and the tables are not too close to each other. The food is good enough for a 3 star hotel, loads of choices of bread, fish, meat dishes and pasta. Lots of fresh fruit at breakfast. New Years Eve was extra special, the food was as good as we have ever had in a top restaurant, beef wellington, king prawns, stuffed lamb and lots more. The staff at this hotel work their socks off, the restaurant staff are always smiling even when there are loads of tables needing to be cleared. We had a cake made at the hotel for our mums birthday and two of the staff brought it out and sang with us, they never charged us for it. The animation team need a mention, they never stop entertaining, I have never seen a team work so hard. I would stay here again but wouldn't stay all inclusive because there are some great places to eat. You must try ElMaestro (next door to the lighthouse bar) gorgeous food, you may have to wait a while but it's worth it. Another nice restaurant is Pablo's (round the corner from the Fundi Grube store).

Room Tip: We were in rooms 222, 224, 319 and 320 all facing the pool and had the sun in the afternoon
