We're just back from a 2 week stay at Lanzarote Gardens. Our kids aged 6 1/2 and 5 had a fantastic time. The animation team deserve a special mention for their enthusiasm and dedication to ensuring that kids are entertained and have as much fun as possible. The staff are so friendly and make time for everyone young and old. The animation team made kids feel special by handing our certicficates at mini club (to be collected after the kiddie disco each eveing - the kids are applauded and cheered and called onstage to collect their certificates - ours absolutely loved it!) and remembereing each childs name. There are games by the pool in the afternoon which kept the kids entertained. The evening shows are terrific - with Disney shows to entertain. If you're looking for a quiet holiday this is not necessaruily the place for you! but if you're looking for a full on kid friendly holiday I couldn't recommend this place enough.

Room Tip: Rooms in the 3rd floor have best views and sun all day long - ask for pool or sea view

Comfortable, immaculately clean hotel and perfect for a holiday with a small child or young children.

The greeting from David on reception when we arrived was warm and very welcoming and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Entertainment 'Blue' team are amazing - how they stay so energetic and enthusiastic always I don't know - they were great with the kids & us grown- ups.

The restaurant is self-service, though staff are there to clear, clean and reset the tables and they do so with a smile. There is a wide choice for breakfast, everything from cereals, fruits, yoghurts, continental cheese and meats, to pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, beans and a wide variety of breads and pastries. There is an equally wide choice, both for children and grown ups, of food for lunch and dinner - we were all- inclusive - the only thing I will say is there was only a small difference between the choices for lunch and dinner, but that's a very small quibble. All the food was tasty and well cooked. The provision of a long low table with small chairs and drawing materials in the restaurant was a nice touch and there were plenty of high chairs for little ones to use. There were also jolly plastic plates, cups and cutlery for little ones.

The bedrooms were more like small apartments, clean and comfortable and have a separate kitchenette/lounge and bedroom. The kitchenette was equipped with microwave, fridge and kettle. The outside balcony had table and chairs and a drying rack. There is no air conditioning but we opened the bathroom window and got a nice cross breeze. There is a supermarket and a chemist in the shops just outside the hotel.

The pool area (3 pools) was cleaned every morning and there were plenty of sun beds. You can hire beach towels (small deposit) or just pop out to one of the nearby little shops and buy a cheap one for about 6 or 7 euros. There is a paddling pool for the little ones and one of the main pools has a large shallow area for kids to play in. For those coming early in the year be aware that the main pool isn't heated. There is also a lovely cove with a sandy beach about 200 yards walk from the front of the hotel if you fancy a change from the pool and a dip in the sea.

If you are looking for a friendly, clean, well-run family orientated hotel then look no further, if you don't want to stay in a hotel with lots of children and are looking for a couples hotel this isn't the one for you. We all had a lovely relaxing time and I suspect we'll be back again next year.

Room Tip: There are no lifts so you might want to ask for a ground floor room if you have little ones in a pus...

Dear guest,
It has been very kind of you to share your holiday experience in H10 Lanzarote Gardens with the Trip Advisor community. Thank you so much!!
Like yourself, many guests have also mentioned how much their children liked the mini buffet area. Little ones really enjoy serving themselves without mum or dad's help and this makes them feel very independent :)
We are very pleased that you consider H10 Lanzarote Gardens to be a friendly, clean, well-run family orientated hotel. Therefore we will keep up working to offer you the best possible service next year if you come again....we hope so!!

Ok where to start?.I travelled with my sister, my teenage son and 8yr old daughter. Great location. On arrival reception staff where friendly and welcoming. We upgraded to all inclusive as had only booked half board. We had two apartments over looking the pool which was lovely although no air conditioning so did become rather stuffy. The apartments were basic and a little tired but 'ok'. We felt the cleaning undertaken was definitely minimal, the floors were sweeped but not washed and no change of bedding occured and I am aware of that because my son hurt his toe on the first day and there was a drop of blood on the sheet which was still there on last day. The pools and pool area was lovely and the men looking after it spent two hours every morning cleaning. The food - again 'ok' but could be improved easily but fine for a one week stay. The actual dining experience was poor - canteen style, noisy and people que jumping...not an enjoyable experience. The good thing was you could take a tray in the morning to the pool or your room and escape the pandemonium. The fantastic! - the entertainment team, what hard working, talented individuals. They really took the time with children and adults alike with games, shows, fitness classes and even mini trips. There was lots of things for kids! There was a foam party beside the pool one day which the children and most adults loved. All in all great place for kids but with some minor adjustments could be great for adults too. Will we be back? Unfortunately we wouldnt go again due to the restaurant pandemonium, 'ok' food and lack of apartment cleanliness. If you go visit the artisan market in the square square where there is a lady who makes hand blown glass jewellery which is stunning.

Dear guest,
Thank you for choosing our hotel for your last stay in Costa Teguise, and for sharing your opinion on Trip Advisor.
You are very kind for the words dedicated to reception and animation staff, and for highlighting the hotel’s location and pool area.
However we regret not having met your expectations in terms of apartments’ cleaning, food and restaurant atmosphere at dinner. The change of bedding should have been done once during your stay. Please accept my apologies for this unintentional omission.
We have a good opportunity to introduce corrective measures, and therefore the heads of the departments concerned have been informed.
We hope to have another opportunity to host you in our hotel and regain your confidence in our various services.
Best greetings,

This was our first time to Lanzarote and we chose this hotel because of its fantastic reviews.
I wanted somewhere I would feel safe with my 2 year old and that had good food so my little one didnt get an upset tummy like she has before when weve been abroad.

We travelled with Cosmos from Leeds Bradford and from start to finish our holiday was perfect.
We managed to leave our pram in the airport and I was fretting as the hotel said we would have to go back for it ouselves as our rep wouldnt do this for us and that would cost us a lot of our spending money in taxi fares. We went to the welcome meeting the next morning and met our rep Jodie, who had just come to the hotel to see us as there were no oher Cosmos guests at that time. We told her about our pram and she kindly went and got it from the airport from us!

Anyway on to the hotel....
The hotel is very very clean and well maintained, the rooms are lovely and big with everything you need and cleaned on a daily basis with clean towels. There are 3 pools all which are clean and one of which you can walk into which is good for toddlers and a baby pool, all of which have little animal statues in that spray water. The entertainment team are fatastic and entertainment is good as well as the mini disco for kids which my daughter loved! Also the kids club is good, even though I didnt leave my little one, I watched how the staff were eith the babies and they are fantastic, caring, lovely people. This goes for all the staff at this hotel who are very friendly, there was one female waiter who took a shine to my daughter who was such a frienly woman. The food here is amazing with lots to choose from including kids hotdogs, pasta bolognaise, chips, fish fingers etc. The adult selection is good too with lots of pasta, fish, meat, sauces, potatoes, salads, desserts etc. I usually get a funy tummy abroad but none of us did here. The drinks are also good on all inclusive and you dont get the rubbish plastic cups! You can have cocktails, baileys etc etc! Ice cream as snacks and toasties, buns etc which is great for children. Overall this hotel is great and I would deffo return!!! I WANT TO GO BACK NOW :(

The area is nice too with a few bars, resturants and shops, the area is quiet but there are little rides for kids, trampolines, the beach is lovely with golden sands and there a a few lovley bars on the front. Also a bike rental shop which rents allsorts inclusing the chickle vision like bikes!

ALL IN ALL A FANTASTIC HOLIDAY AND HOTEL, WE ONLY SPENT £100 THE EHOLE TIME INCLUDING FLIGHT MEALS ETC!!!

This was our first holiday to Lanzarote and what an excellent holiday we had, before all the positives about this hotel we did have a couple of negatives,
Food
we were all inclusive, the food was ok very often cold or luke warm but there was a microwave to heat up meals, breakfast on our first two days had what looked like English sausages then by the third day the sausages were either hot dogs or yellow sausages and these continued for the rest of our 10 night stay, there was a lot of fish on the menu, and by the start of our 2nd week the food like any hotel was starting to get repetitive, where the kids meals were served none of the food was labelled so very often kids didn't know what they were eating.
positives
Reception
We were welcomed and checked in quickly by David, once we got our keys and our all inclusive wristbands on, David asked both girls to stand on the red box and explained to the girls not us that if they ever lost there mam and dad in the hotel to come to reception and to stand on the red box and to tell them they had lost us and somebody would take them to find there parents, this was excellent and stuck in our minds.
Sunbeds
Plenty of sunbeds and first time ever that we haven't had to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve one, lifeguard does a good job of telling people they cant reserve beds.
Rooms
The rooms were spacious and clean and we had a room on the second floor overlooking the pool. Rooms cleaned every day but Wednesday.
Kids clubs & Entertainment
Saving the best till last, there is 4 kids clubs - baby, mini, junior, teens, also games for adults, all the blue team are very good at there job and work extremely hard, I have a 9 & 6 year old one of which went to the mini club and the other to the junior club, there is always something going on in the clubs all the time, juniors even go to the beach and for 6 euros they get took to the aquarium, both my girls went to the clubs every day except Sunday when the blue team all have a well deserved day of, all the blue team were good, even took the time to speak to us on there day off, but the blue team staff that stood out for us and who my kids became very fond of was Nella and Janina mini club and diogo in Junior club they were all extremely friendly.
We made sangria one day and they certainly weren't scared of putting in more alcohol, Louis was excellent and always approachable, I cant leave Lukas out because not often do the blue team that works with the adults get a mention but Lukas was again great, he even took the time to come and sit with us when he had finished the games or shows, on the subject of shows the evening shows preformed by the blue team were excellent the best show for us was the lion king our girls even got chosen to participate in this show, the blue team work long hours and very often after midnight they then practised for other shows. We met some lovely people and had a fantastic time, we are looking at booking again in this hotel which comes highly recommended.

In Room Safe - €10 refundable deposit + €28.80 for 12 days
Air Conditioning - €30 refundable deposit for A/C remote control

For Half Board – Dinner can be substituted for lunch which can also be taken as a picnic
Drinks – Bar Cocktails approx. €4.50 (about 4 included in the AI) €2.80 for a large Draught beer

Our group was 2 adults and 2 children (3 and 5) and I would find it hard to fault anything in this complex. The positives far exceeded any minor negatives and I will try to give a fair review of our experience here.

Upon arrival, check in was reasonably quick and painless. We were checked in by David who, like many others in the complex, seemed to work long hours but was always an absolute pleasure to deal with. Our luck was in with the room where we were given what was described as a superior bungalow. Ever the sceptic I imagined this was just a fantastic elaboration of our apartment… I was wrong. We found our ground floor bungalow to be a split level bungalow with 2 balconies, 2 TV’s, a/c, standalone fan and all other expected amenities. Room was spacious and there was a great deal of storage.

We availed of the kids club in the mornings (10-12) each day it was open. Our 3 and 5yr olds went to the same club and loved it. I have seen the blue team mentioned a few times and it is clear why. Nella stood out to us as someone that the kids grew very fond of but to be fair, the whole team were superb. Seeing these guys start at 10am and still full of energy late into the evening after the show where they were still talking to the kids was amazing and the kids were delighted to be part of the entertainment. Each day was centred around activities and after kids club there is some music and entertainment by the pool (including a bouncy castle on Mondays)

A note on the pool. People who point out the cold are correct. The main pool is quite cold initially but once you are in it is fine. The other pool is a few degrees warmer. There is a slide leading into the main pool and while the 3 and 5yr old weren’t too keen on it, the 35yr old had a great time!

Food was good overall. In response to the guy who complained that his wife’s egg wasn’t yellow enough, it looks like great improvements were made as all yolks were very yellow! There was a weekly rotation of themes with Chinese and Mexican themes. One minor issue was the over eagerness of the waiting staff on the drinks. There is a big fear of non-AI people taking drinks so to combat this the staff are keen to get the drinks out to the non-AI people. Be careful on this as drinks go on your room and over a couple of weeks could run up a nice surprise. Breakfast was probably the best meal of the day and on the days where we swapped dinner for lunch, I thought the lunch offerings were great.

Entertainment was varied and fun. I saw some comment about miming… Correct, the team are mostly singing along to a backing track (with the exception of Nella who did some solo numbers) but that reviewer was being a bit harsh and ignoring the dance routines and costumes and sets all appearing to be done by the team. During the afternoons Georgie and the team could be seen rehearsing for the nightly shows. In our time, some highlights were Grease, Mamma Mia, Michael Jackson, Glee, The Lion King). There was a mini disco each night from 8-8.30pm and the show started at 9.30pm. To be picky, it would be good to have something going on in this time (although not sure who could do it as the staff are tied up setting up the show)

Amazingly there is far more that I could write about the resort, the staff and the excellent running of this complex but I will stop soon. Our experience was great, all the basic needs were met and exceeded and for families this would be highly recommended. We have already talked about going back next year and I’d go back next week if I could!
