We have just returned from our second trip to the Coronas Playa and we must say that certain aspects last year let lthe holiday down a little but this time we did notice a marked improvement. At lunch time the waiting time was cut considerably and your 'meal ticket' was not taken away at the end (for what ever reason that was for)! The entertainment was much better with good act most nights. Guitar Legends, The Bee Gees, the comedian Steve Salter and the girl singer, Karen Noble all added to the week. The reps show was very good as well. We didn't have a good room to start with but that was sorted in no time at all. Weather wasn't that kind to us but you can't do anything about that. Our last 2 days made up for it. Over all, Coronas, you made our stay great. Thanks to all

The food is still as good as ever with plenty of choice for all meals. Drink prices very reasonable for a hotel. House red only 8 Euros, Pint 2.50 Euros. Happy hour 5-6pm in Monkey Bar when drinks are half price!

Rooms are huge which can make them appear to be sparsely furnished. Clientele tends to be retired but are usually good fun. No difficulty getting sun beds. Entertainment is the typical mix of amateur and professional and was generally acceptable and targeted at the right audience. One of the friendliest hotels I have stayed in.

Flat screen TVs and better selection of TV channels would be a significant improvement. Also these days you should not need to pay for a safe.

Having stayed in regular rooms, suites and sea view superior rooms I consider the regular rooms to be the best value. One of my photos shows the room locations. All the rooms alongside the pools are good with the sun from late morning until evening. Those overlooking the lower pool are a litlle quieter. Choose an upper floor. A/C in our room was ineffective. Opening the doors and letting the wind whistle through was very effective!!!

Plenty of excellent cafes across the road especially Casa Luis which had fairly authentic spanish food and good prices. All the local restaurants/bars have been hit by the increased use of all inclusive tariffs. Trips booked with the local LastMinuteTravel(Turn right outside the hotel walk 30 yards) were excellent value and much cheaper than Thomson.

Will be back a fifth time in due course

Room Tip: See Photo of room layout But a high floor gives better views. Personally I would prefer not to be above reception or near the Pavillion as the entertainment went on until 11.30 - 12 midnight

Never been to Lanzarote before had a great holiday staff very helpful food good. Plenty sunbeds. Brand label drinks even asked which kind of wine we wanted with our meal a good selection. Enertainment was good if you did not fancy the main show the Monkey Bar had good entertainment. The Holiday team did very well. Will be back soon.

my sister and i returned for our girls week holiday and were not disappionted to be there again, michael even managed to give us the same room as we had on our 1st visit , the rooms are huge and louisa our room attendant did a great job every day plenty of clean towels, just wish they would put a kettle in the room , you can hire 1 from reception also thought paying extra for the use of the safe is a bit cheeky, dont usually have to do this in hotels, but that realy is my only negative about this hotel,
no towels on the sunbeds before 10 am is a great idea , this made a huge differance to everyone you could go down to the pool at any time and get a sunbed which most people go here to relax and sit in the sun,
the new chef in the restaurant has done a great job the food last year was good but now there is so much choice you wont go hungry here ang and i could spend a couple of hours sitting at dinner !! the house wine is good too.
the staff are so happy in there job and like to chat away to you some of them remembered us from last year, david, jose and mr bean made our holiday they were great fun.
evening entertainment was good when they had specialised acts on ,the shows with the reps were not great, missed tony and maria from last year, but cant blame the hotel for that,
cant wait till november when we return wit our husbands, look forward to seeing all the staff again. thanks for a great weeks relaxing holiday.

Room Tip: rooms over the bottom pool have a sea view

mand and pete we stayed at the coronus player from 1st of may to the 15th all the staff from the cleaners to the manager were brilliant couldnt be more helpful stayed in 446 an upgraided room which was cleaned every day spotless the reps were also very good . my wife is a faddy eater but always found at least one thing in restaurant that she really liked the only complaint i had was on the tomson jets there and back if you bought anything and paid in euros the stewardess would say its a low exchange hence paying more than the equivalent in pounds tip pay in pounds.

Room Tip: we had 446 great view private but quite a walk from reception.
