We have just returned once again after numerous visits to this hotel. The amount of return guests speaks volumes as to the excellent hotel it is. Always spotlessly clean with the maids always keeping on top of everything. The staff are wonderful. Nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile. An instance of this was when my husband wasn't too well and Caroline on reception dealt with this for us efficiently and reassuringly. When we returned from a day at the hospital she had even been ringing our room to see how we had got on. How caring is that? Now the hotel is up and running with the free WI FI it is a bonus if us older ones get stuck accessing it as the girls on reception are always eager to help out. Ok it is maybe an older clientele but we have never met anyone who isn't friendly, polite and enjoying everything the Coronas Playa has to offer. The food was varied with tastes to suit everyone. The promenade has some lovely stretches for walks and a bit further on some coastal walks where it is so quiet and peaceful so choices for all.

Room Tip: We enjoy a higher room for the sea views

Relaxing break at what can be described as a lovely well run hotel
Reception staff were excellent
Buffet breakfast was excellent , evening meals a bit repeatable but always fresh and well presented
The Room was a Suite and we would recommend this upgrade if you so desire however the bathroom is in need of a little refurbishment , the TV and channel Chocie were adequate ,
However one minor gripe for us was the Suite is laid out / designed completely back to front as the bathrooms in each apartment quite clearly back onto the bedrooms of the next so not very well designed in our opinion especially in the morning when some want a lay in agfter 8am !!!
Upgrading to a suite and then having to pay for safety deposit box is rather strange !!! but clean towels and fresh bottled water every day and constant cleaning from the Maids I suppose made up for it
As for the entertainment from the Thomson Gold staff well it was OK but NOT suited to people aged 45-55 moreso 55 to80 plus
In fact I do not think this Hotel is suited for people aged 40-55 however Adults only is a benefit , but quite clearly many people return visit as the resident duo Les and Lesley seem to know everyone. She tries very hard but he is simply not doing her any favours whatsoever with his "put on" miserable look , it's not the correct style to portray when you are suppose to be entertaining people. Ditch him love he's holding you back !!!

We would recommend Derek's walks and local interest topics a very pleasant person indeed
and Conor is completely wasted at this Hotel and should be moved on to something much more
exciting where his talents can be fulfilled to the benefit of Holiday makers as it is clear that he has a great talent and wants to be a success , well done young man !!!!

Finally , a special thanks to Caroline at the Reception her advice over the week and her "nothing is toomuch trouble" attitude was great to experience , just want you want form a Hotel recepionist
thanks

Another great hol at this hotel, parts of it are now looking a little tired & dated but overall v.good.
As a Thomson hol. we were offered a bag drop at Manchester airport, don't bother with this as the same queue was applied to all on departure..

Room Tip: Ask for a low floor quiet area.

From the moment we arrived until we left, we could not find a fault with any aspect of this hotel. Staff were absolutely brilliant, food was fantastic, spotlessly clean large rooms, well situated, entertainment was varied to cater for wide taste but was always great, the resident group, The Score, were also fantastic, would recommend this Hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same large size except for suites which are even larger, south facing rooms genera...

Our first time in Lanzarote, and we were not disappointed. The hotel is in a lovely position overlooking the ocean with easy access to the beach. Cleanliness of the rooms and all main areas is excellent, the food is very good and ALWAYS piping hot, great staff, and enormous rooms. The only minor gripe we felt was the additional costs. Yes we expected to pay a deposit for towels and safe and a rental charge for the safe, but we didn't think we would have to hire a kettle or upgrade to a superior room to get tea and coffee making facilities. Also the TV channels were rubbish, but once again, you could get an upgrade on the TV at an extra cost. They were minor irritants which we did not expect from a 4 star GOLD hotel.
Weather was nice and hot with a gentle cool breeze, lots of sunbeds around both pools and although no beds on the beach, everyone seemed to manage ok with a towel on the sand.
We booked a couple of trips from a place next to the hotel which were a lot cheaper than with Thomsons and excellent content. We would definitely recommend this hotel and have already booked to return in September.

Another warm welcome back to this exceptionally friendly hotel where the staff always have a smile on their face and can not do enough to help you. The hotel is just a short stroll from the centre and adjacent to the sea in a good location. One of the best kept secrets about this hotel is the Beauty Spa where Leigh and Anna provide excellent treatments from full body massages to manicures and crazy fit massage machines and toning tables. Everyone should treat themselves to a little luxury whilst on holiday and this spa provide that treat.
Food is excellent with a wide choice at all meals, freshly cooked and served very hot. House wine is perfectly acceptable and lots of holiday makers take advantage of the "all inclusive" option which includes branded drinks (not just the local drinks).
The bedrooms are spacious and now include fast wi-fi free of charge in your room.
The hotel is a Thomson Gold hotel but if you want to go on any trips around the island book them locally with Last Minute Travel whose office is 25 yards turning right out of the hotel and you will be picked up from the hotel reception. Great value trips and half the price of Thomson

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top floor with side sea view to enjoy the evening sun shine

We have just returned again from the coronas playa and once again it was very enjoyable. The staff are excellent and cheerful from the cleaners to management and nothing seems too much trouble for them. The hotel is slowly being refurbished with improvements being made in and around the hotel. There isn't much more that I can say about this hotel other than agree with all the good comments made by other guests. We will certainly be returning again later in the year.

Room Tip: stay in rooms overlooking the top pool its quieter.
