Hotel was very good, plenty of variety of food at all meal times. Have to agree with a previous review that sometimes the restaurant staff were a bit OTT.

Rooms very spacious and reception staff very helpful.

Only moan is that the entertainment was a bit "holiday camp" both daytime round the pool, and in the evening in the Pavilion. The entertainment in the Monkey Bar was far better.

Not sure whether we would make a return visit, but the area is lovely with plenty of restaurants and bars to visit.

Room Tip: Although our room had a sea view overlooking the entertainment pool, it would have been quieter to h...

From the minute you arrive at this wonderful hotel and are greeted by the most friendliest of staff you know that you are going to have a great holiday. The rooms are extremely spacious and clean. There are plenty of sun loungers and even if some people still decide to reserve them with towels, they are quickly removed, a policy of which all hotels should adapt. The food in the restaurant is of a high standard and the waiter service is a nice touch. You really feel at home here and are very well looked after. The top pool area is very quiet and ideal if you don't fancy joining in with the daily activities which are ongoing, fun and a fabulous way of meeting new friends. Mel and Connor work very hard making sure everyone has a great time. The evening entertainment, headed by the resident duo (Les & Lesley) are just fabulous. Lesley has the knack of making even the simplest of things so funny and will keep you entertained throughout, not forgetting her lovely singing voice. Top acts from all over also make this part of the day special. There is also the Monkey Bar if you fancy a cocktail or two and a nice way to unwind in the evening. All in all as far as Thomson Gold all inclusive is concerned, this hotel is first class, fantastic value for money and the reason for our third consecutive visit. Well done and thank you to everyone for making our holiday so memorable.

This was my first time in a Thompson Gold Hotel and was very surprised as everything was a new experience in a holiday for me. I stayed there for 2 weeks the staff, food entertainment weather could not have been better. I had a very slight medical problem but the staff were very quick to come to my aid and the paramedics sorted things out for me with no need to be taken to hospital. I am disabled and hired a mobility scooter which the hotel let me go every where on it even in the lift. The food was fantastic with a wide variety every night. The evening entertainment was the best I have seen in a Thompson hotel. I will be returning.

Just had a week at the hotel. Having been to a Thompson Gold hotel the previous year we were told by friends that this hotel was [quote] "Twice as good as that one" [unquote] The best bits of this hotel was the size of the rooms {very spacious} and very clean, couldn't really fault the hotel itself. The food was a bit of a let down though as we both thought the food was not up to the standard of the last hotel, although good it could have been better {especially the breakfasts} the cereals were obviously not top brands as my wife said they had the taste of wet cardboard. I won't go into detail regarding "a full English" as try as they might hotels abroad just don't have the knack, also thought the restaurant staff were a little o.t.t. and as usual the bottled water was way overpriced.
The resort was very good, just busy enough for me, plenty of eating and drinking places for someone self catering. As in previous posts we don't stay round the hotel in the evenings so can't comment on the entertainment but out and about in the evenings was good.
Would we go back to this hotel?? possibly.

The hotel is in a good location close to the very pretty Town of costa Teguise as per all the other reviews the staff are the stars at this hotel and look after you very well the only minus piont is the fact that when we arrived late at the hotel there was no prevision for anything to eat and we where just given a glass of champain and sent on our way.
The food at the hotel is very good but there is a lack of choice at the pool bars
The Hotel itself is very clean and tidy and they have started to upgrade all the furniture aincludingt flat screen TVs in the rooms , the WIFI conection in the suits is non existant and you need to walk to the main areas to get a workable connection
The entertianment is spot on with good veriaty and of a very good standard
Unfortunatly the weather was not good butb the entertainment staff tried there hardest to keep evryone happy
While there we went on the Lanerote uncover trip and i wouold recomend this trip to one and all as you see the best bits all in one go with a nice lunch to boot
Overall a good trip spoiled by the weather

Stayed here a couple to times week before Xmas, lovely big rooms, beds fairly comfortable, excellent service, full board, lovely friendly staff. Food excellent, the alcohol was the real deal, none of this fake tasting fowl rubbish being passed off as shorts,Fairly ok entertainment,
Plenty of pool space.although the pool wasn't heated this time of the year ,did have a dip ,soon got out though haha,
Nice snacks around the pool. Lovely indoor / or outdoor lunches were served lunchtimes,
Quite a nice walk along the back of the hotel along the sea to the the shops and reastaurants, and gift shops. Plenty of bars places to sit and enjoy the views, all in all worth a visit

Room Tip: Sea view rooms were nice.

One week holiday from 18 May. Found the hotel to be everything we expected. Despite the concrete construction/styling we enjoyed the hotel on all counts.
Our room was very large, with a balcony overlooking the upper pool cpomplex. Convenient for a bit of peace and quiet by day, for relaxing in the sun.
The lower pool complex,a short distance away was where all the games and activities took place by day.
We were so convenient for the dining rooms for lunch and dinner. And the concert room (a huge teepee was just across the other side of the pool complex. (but not at all noisy)
Food choices were great, something different every evening -we were spoiled for choice.
Admittedly lunch was a set menu with only six or eight choices but the table service at lunchtimes offset that.
Good wine list and the house red was more than acceptable.
Finally the Management and all the staff were probably the most friendly crew we have ever encountered.
Easy access into the resort along a coastal footpath (15 minute steady stroll) and local taxis were very reasonable, meaning you are never far from the island treasures.
Will definitely return to this Hotel.

Room Tip: No real need to pay more for a sea/pool view room. Most rooms in the hotel will give you that. Pre...
