Very nice very big hotel, on the plus side, food very good excellent pools and sunbathing areas, spa very good. on the negative side, you could only get a daytime drink in the pool bar even though they had two bars within the hotel,no coffee and tea making facilities in room, overall ambience a bit dark in reception and bar areas which didnt really make it very inviting, but on the whole a good hotel, i would stay there again.

Room Tip: all rooms face the pool area, ask for a central room

We stayed at this hotel for a week arriving on christmas eve. first impressions of the hotel and gardens were very impressive, and the reception ares decorated well with xmas trees, nativity etc. The tropical theme running through the building with running water etc was really nice however the uneven floor in the bar by the shops and the wide gaps in the wooden slats seemed to cause a few people some problems. We A good size and cleaned well by the maid 256? we were lucky had a room on the second floor in the centre of the building and noise was minimal. the people with rooms directly over the restaurant and bar areas were not so fortunate. The fact that there was no bar in the main hotel open in the day as mentioned by reviewers was a big problem as we were both unwell during the day and the last place you wanted to hike to for a water or tea or coffee was across the gardens and pool area to the pool bar. The coffee machine was very often not working in the pool bar and you could only get a hot drink during breakfast apart from that. The bar staff were very pleasant and helpful but there was only ever one staff on each bar and the q's began to form as they worked their tails off. The restaurant food was not that brilliant, yes, there was always something one could eat salads always popular but what finished me off was one night there was a Rabbit stew &goat casserole!! I scraped the sauce off some fish that night. There was always a chef on who would cook steak, chops and other fresh meat to order however this was covered in oil to cook and not alway cooked enough. morning omelletes were always ok. the champagene served at evening meal was very nice and certainly helped the meal down well. the evening entertainment was poor Reptiles on Xmas day??? however as we were both unwell from Boxing day with a flu type virus this was not too much of a problem to us. the big prob was being all inclusive which is the best way to stay at this hotel and not feel like eating at all or drinking!! The spa was a treat and a daily circuit was free for all inclusive guests. I reiterate what previous reviewers have said that if they can afford to do this why charge for the priviledge? of using a fridge in the room and even not being able to store your own water in it! Ren ting a safe and not being given a deposit back is also not a good thing. the hotel did seem rather quiet but on the days we felt fit we would walk down into costa Teguise and enjoyed a stroll along the front. The weather was suuny all week with breeze. but the pools were too cold to swim in except for a few brave people. Unless the food is improved and more staff are available in the bar areas I dont feel I can recommend this as a must stay place. If you need the security of a travel rep this hotel is rarely visited by them. however emergency numbers are readily available. It is a a 4 star building with 2/3 star food in my opinion. Maybe with some refurbing and an availabe food/drink outlet in the day within the main building then it would be worth a revisit in the future

Room Tip: Chooseon in the centre of the building as there is only one lift and this is from the centre reception

Stayed here 6th January 2013 for 11 nights all inclusive. The Bar staff, waiters and animation team were all very pleasant. The decor in the hotel is first class and the rooms are spacious and maid service is every day. The buffet restaurant was always well stocked and food was varied. The hotel was about a 20 minute easy walk to the main resort thou you could use the free shuttle bus which ran every half hour if you didn't want to walk. We would definitely go back only down side was this time of the year the pool was too cold !!! If your looking for a nice hotel just outside a lovely resort then this is the hotel for you.

Room Tip: All rooms have good views of swimming pools sea and hills

We have stayed at lots of 4 Star All Inclusive Hotels and this was certainly not 4*. Food, service and standards are more like 2*. Half board customers were treated totally different in pool bar, paying customers had a different menu, had their table set for them and waiter service, ours was left on the side to go cold, I think the staff at this hotel should be reminded that we have paid for all this before we left for our holiday and should be treated the same. The pool bar was the only place you could obtain a drink from up to 6 in the evening and as this bar was part open it could be very cold on a breezy day. We have never seen such poor snacks for a 4* A/I. Evening bar which I appreciate closes and bar staff want to go home but not only do they turn the bar lights off the whole of the lounge lights go off and you are left in darkness finishing your drinks, this is a health and safety issue due to water, bridges and lots of wooden animals in this area, it is a hazard trying to get to the lifts or stairs. Stayed over the New Year Period

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Beatriz for 5 days over the Christmas period.
The hotel is impressive and huge. The pools looked fab and plenty of sunbeds, shame the pools weren't heated though. Far too cold to enjoy.
The food was ok, always something to find though I was a bit worried about seeing the guy on the grill area cooking raw chicken and using the same utensils serving cooked meat, steered clear after seeing that.
Christmas Day evening was a bit of a shambles as the hotel seemed very full that night and quite a few people had to wait a while for a table.
The staff are friendly and work very hard. Could have done with more staff in the evenings at the bars as there was always a queue.
The average age of the clientele were probably in their seventies and entertainment was tailored towards that age bracket. Hoopla girl was good.
There was a piano bar ...which would have been good if they had someone playing it??
The spa is absolutely fab, best I've ever visited. Therapeutic jets in the main pool circuit, jacuzzi, steam rooms and sauna. Also ice caves!!
We walked into town which took about 15 minutes, uphill on the way back which some may struggle with but there is a free shuttle bus from the hotel.
We visited the Teguise market, hopped on a local bus in town, 2.70 euros instead of 15 euros via reps/hotel !
Would recommend this hotel and resort.
