“Very nice holiday in a peaceful hotel”
Reviewed 24 September 2013

First of all I honestly don't understand people moaning about the location of the hotel, because it is clearly stated everywhere, that it is located out of town, which is for me (and for many other guests as well) is more of an advantage. You may have to take the hotel bus or the rented car to go to the center, but I have never stayed in such a tranquil and quiet hotel. I slept with the terrace doors open every evening and there was absolutely nothing waking me up in the mornings. The staff was great, always polite and doing their job with a smile. We stayed half board and the food was also very nice with a wide variety of dishes, and dirty plates where always picked up immediately from the tables.

Yes, it is an old fashioned hotel, and rooms are a bit dated but who wants to stay in the room when you have incredible swimming pools in the garden? Anyway the rooms were clean with comfy beds and the hotel has a very nice atrium with a cascade and palm trees so even if it’s not the newest resort in town, it is still a very nice place to stay. What people should understand is that for this price this is a great 4 star hotel and it is not fair to compare it with other more expensive ones. I really think that this is a great place to spend a peaceful holiday and it is perfectly located to discover the island.

This hotel has changed Management and I had food poisoning and a few weeks before I arrived 3 of the restaurants had been closed down. The location is in the middle of nowhere - it is a good 20 mins walk to a Resort with just seedy pubs and no reputable restaurants. I used to travel when I did no have tummy troubles - by 2 buses or taxi bus to the other Resort 1 hour away daily to try to sample local dishes - only managed to find an exceptional Italian Restaurant. This hotel has no Soul to it and is the most boring hotel I have ever stayed at. I requested high floor quiet and got low ground over the children's Disco. The ENTERTAINMENT was so poor - I Know the birdy song off by heart. I often cleaned my own room. An empty hotel in an empty space with Staff that have no passion for their work. Needs updating too and as for the Resort what on earth do you do?

Room Tip: HIGH UP far end away from the kids Disco.

I travelled with my partner and his grandparents for a week from the 12th sep. This was the grandparents first time abroad so we wanted to go to a hotel that had everything on site.

We checked in at 11pm and were offered a cold meal. We refused it but it was a nice offer. When we got into our room it was huge with a large private balcony. Everything was spotless. We got new towels and bed sheets everyday, even when we never asked for them.

The food in the hotel was brilliant in the restaurant and the themed buffet. They had something different every single night. Was great since I was travelling with fussy eaters but we enjoyed every meal. Especially desserts where they have a wide selection of cakes and ice creams.

The evening entertainment often and a singer on to start with and then a show but if you want a quieter evening then the piano bar is a great place to just sit and relax at night. Please take note that they will only serve you at the piano bar if you stand next to the till.

The hotel has a hairdressers and a few little souvenir shops which is handy for presents for family back home.

Spa is well worth a vist they have a circuit, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Free for all inclusive. We went for a couples massage cost €70 and the fancy baths they offer start at €26. You come smelling and felling fantastic.

The hotel is about 15 minute to beach and local shops, bars etc. or a taxi cost €8 return.

All the staff in this hotel work very hard working and always keep themselves very busy. They were polite, helpful and very informative. They all speak Spanish and English.

Overall we had a great time and we would return to this hotel.

We arrived on Friday 13th Sept about 7pm. We went down to the piano bar to get a drink before going for dinner. The bar was quiet, only 2 other couples but we were kept waiting so long that we gave up and went for dinner. Went back to the same bar on Sat night but same story. We eventually got served but the bar man was very rude. We did not use the bar again for the rest of the week.
The hotel is nice. The rooms are clean and the cleaners do a great job. Breakfast is excellent however the evening meal is poor. A buffet with lots of choice but all sitting under a lamp drying up. We stopped eating dinner mid week and ate in town instead.
Hotel has a nice pool area again very clean.
The hotel is a bit out of town. It takes about 15 minutes to walk in to the centre. A taxi from town to hotel will cost no more than €4.
The town is clean with no sign of lager louts and all the bars and restaurants are friendly and good value.

We arrived late at night and there was no food available even though we were told there was.
Although you dont go on holiday to watch tv you couldnt here as there was only 3 english channels and they were all news channels. The food was good. We were all inclusive but there was only 1 bar open during the day. The bars at night, you had to queue at and if you didnt you were shouted at by the bar staff. Only 1 bar staff on each bar. Jorge was very rude, i think he was the bar manger. The hotel is out of the town, so had quite a walk to get to any civilisation. DONOT hire a car from the hotel, 96 euros for 4 days and it was the worse car we have ever hired, bashed not clean hence didnt travel very far as we were frightened it would let us down. For a 4 star hotel the sunbeds were dirty, scuffy and saggy. The rooms were kept immaculate by the cleaner. The shops only opened when they felt like it

Just got back from a week in this hotel after being put here by our originally booked hotel the HD Beach who said that due to a computer problem they didn't have a room for us (that old excuse) we were very upset when we arrived but pleasantly surprised when we looked round. It is a little out of town but there is a free bus every day and it only takes a 10 minute walk to get to the beach. The food I couldn't fault there was plenty of choice and a full salad menu if you didn't want hot food the breakfast was also good and menus varied most days. The bar service was good with branded soft drinks always available.Entertainment in the evenings was good with some good acts and a house band who were reasonable. The pool area is also very good with it kept very clean and there are 2 large adul pools and a good children's pool, the animation team although only seemed to consist of three people did a really good job. There are snacks and light meals in the pool bar there are the usual plastic cups around this area.I take the previous comments on board about the hotel looking a bit tired in places but I think the facilities and the staff far outweigh this and we both agreed that although this wasn't our first choice we would definitely go back here.
