“What a hidden gem!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 September 2013

When we read some of the reviews there was nothing amazing and I have no idea why not..

I went with my family- there were four of us and we loved it! We had 2 apartments one for me and my sister and one for my mum and dad. They were above each other which was very handy and considerate!

They only do single beds- my mum soon found out!! There are no double beds on site.

The apartments were okay- not great but perfect to just sleep in- you don't spend much time in them anyway!

The hotel is overlooking the sea you can't pay for the view it is breathtaking.

Nothing better than sitting on the plush sofas and overlooking the ocean and views- truly a 5 star view!!

We went all inclusive- yes it got a bit repetitive but don't you at home? All drinks were served by lovely bar staff and used real alcohol!! REAL malibu etc not fake versions.

Overall it was a beautiful hotel in an ideal location. We met some lovely people and I hope to return again.

Room Tip: Ask for a ground floor room overlooking the pool near the bar- they are quieter than ours which was...

Just got back after 2 weeks here, on arrival rooms are reasonably sized and clean. Many people complained that food was sub standard not enough variety on offer and pretty much the same every day, also you had to pay for any extras like irons, kettles, tv, etc. so hardly all inclusive! We fortunately were self catering. The sunbeds by the pool had a lot broken and the pool itself was not cleaned regularly enough in fact we did not see them clean the children's pool in the 2 weeks we stayed! Rooms cleaned every other day! Beds are uncomfortable! But now my real gripe with the place! British customers are treated as 2nd class and inferior to our German friends!!???!!! Because we booked so early and knew the appts before they were taken over we asked for ground floor by the main pool! This we had, however all the other apartments in this area were allocated to German guests and the British were pushed back to appts by the 2nd pool with no views and little in the way of facilities! There is also a lovely area with 4 posted double beds with cushions curtains(luxurious sunbathing), on the glass surrounding this area it states, in English, for customers use only. When asking for the code for this area you were told by staff that the area was for use by German guests only! Please I have nothing against Germans, in fact I work for a German company and find them incredibly nice. But I don't think that because of your nationality you should have segregated areas or be treated differently! I love costa teguise and have already booked next year, but NOT here, it's a shame as the apartments are in a fantastic location.

We went all inclusive for a week with friends, the room was average for the stars, bed was uncomfortable though, and there was hair all over our floor when we arrived. The food is edible but is very very repetitive we got so bored of it the last 3 nights we ate out. Which is not great when you pay all inclusive for a week. The hotel is ideally located, right on the sea front, and a minute walk to the pubs and shops. Though other hotel users said it was very noisy till 4am, but we couldn't hear it where we was. We were very annoyed that there was an area sectioned off that we could not use as it was for Germans only! It was far superior to the English and Spanish customers had access to.

Room Tip: Ask for room with sea view in the 200's they are nicer rooms.

Hello. My husband & I are due to stay at this hotel very soon. After reading all reviews we are looking forward to our own experience.
I have read many reviews where guests have requested particular rooms/apartments prior to arrival. Can anyone advise me how to go about this? I can't find an email address :-(
Any tips would be gratefully received. Thank you.

Rooms were very dated and bath had chipped pealing paint. Beds really uncomfortable and awoke with back ache every night. For 4 people in our appartment we had 3 knives, forks and spoons, 2 plates, 1 bowl and 3 glasses. Thankfully self-catering so ate out and so not tasted food but it did not look appertising. Location excellent and only saving grace of establishment. Wouldnever recommend this place. Noisy bar next door provided music until small hours.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not on ground floor as balcony open and doors not secure.

We stayed at the Blue Sea Costa Teguise Beach resort recently and were overall impressed by what we got for our money. The hotel is in a fantastic location right next to the sea. There are some restricted seating areas for the hotel's German clients but it is still possible to get a sun lounger next to the pool with the sea right behind you. The pools were excellent - cleaned by the pool man every morning. They aren't heated but soon warm up in the sun. Our room was basic and we had to ask for more pillows - but these arrived promptly the next day. As we didn't spend much time in the room we weren't really bothered that it was so basic ( might have been bothered if we had been self catering as there were a random selection of plates which wouldn't have been enough for our family of four.) we had a ground floor one bedroom apartment opposite the small pool which we couldn't fault for the view. The staff were very friendly and worked hard - especially the restaurant staff who also worked the bar. The food was good - plenty of choice. Nothing was outstanding but there was always something for everyone. Drinks were served in the pool bar until 10 - though we sat there most evenings and the bar staff were still serving at 10.30pm. The hotel was very relaxed about their rules - there were signs up saying no inflatables in the pool and no swimming after 6pm but these rules weren't enforced - in fact the pool was busier after 6pm. There were also ruled about reserving sunbeds which people still did - although there was no need as we had no issues getting a sunbed or a spot in the shade. Overall this was a fantastic holiday and we would definitely go again.
