“Lovely, value resort”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 August 2014

We had a lovely time at these apartments, yes, they are a bit dated, but they are clean and functional. The reception is helpful and friendly, and we always felt safe and relaxed. Using tripadvisor, we emailed and asked for room 112 which is a 2 bed apartment, and we were given it. It has a lovely large balcony, right next to the small pool, which got the sun for most of the day.
A couple of gripes: there was only one socket near to a mirror, in the bathroom, and this was not too secure. There was nowhere to put make up, toiletries etc. the safe was located in the reception, it was tiny(too small for an ipad) and could only be accessed between 9am and 9pm.

Just spent a week at the Celeste with my Family and we had a great holiday but as many people have said the apartments could do with a upgrade. We stayed in the family block(block 2)2nd floor room 210 great size, good balcony beds are not to good but they are not to good anywhere in spain or Canaries.....Reception staff fantastic and very helpful...cleaners friendly but most of all the location and as a base it is a fantastic place.....great bars just outside Motowns, The Highlander to name 2 ,good beers at €2euros a pint good british good at a great price.....50 metres from the beach. All in all like I said in my title basic but good value for money.

Room Tip: 2nd floors get a lot sun during the day.

All we look for in accommadation is somewhere to sleep at night with a comfy bed, somewhere to have a drink and sandwich during the day and somewhere to laze around the pool till we venture out at night. With these apts that's what we got.Location for all amenities is great, bars, bus stop, restaurants, market, beach shops etc. Not too noisy at night and quiet round the pool in the day.Has three separate blocks with one being child free and all three blocks have a pool.Laundry room on site,Reception with very helpful staff though it does close at 9pm.Wi-fi available but at a charge. On the whole it really could do with a revamp but suited us for our purposes.Would go back there.

Room Tip: Ground floor apts easily accesible but mostly shaded from sun,2nd floor (thats the highest) have at...

We chose these apartments because of their location within the resort. They are yards away from the main square where there is a market on a Friday evening, a craft market on a Wednesday evening & a singer on the bandstand most nights. Supermarket is just across the road & the beach is two minutes away.. The flat we were allocated had a very big terrace which got the sun in the afternoon & a sea view from the sitting room. As previous reviewers have said, a bit of a refurb is overdue. The bed was hard & absolutely perfect for me. Kitchen had everything we needed but we only used it to make tea/coffee. We had a load of ants around the kitchen sink which the staff took care of as soon as we reported it to reception.

We asked about a late checkout when we booked & were advised to ask on the day before departure. I was disappointed to be told that they had no rooms to spare but there is a luggage room & you can book a time slot to have a shower. Be aware that although towels are provided, you need to supply your own soap/body wash etc. I was told by a local business owner that they have never heard of anyone getting a late checkout!
Overall we enjoyed our stay here very much but wouldn't book again unless a late checkout was available.

Room Tip: Room 133 is on the first floor, has a large sunny terrace & is situated in a pretty courtyard.

Stayed here recently for 23 nights, although we have been to costa teguise many times it was our first at the celeste. We booked these apartments has it was a last minute decision to go away and the apartments we wanted were fully booked up. May i firstly say that Claudia the receptionist was one of the most friendliest people i have met and the cleaning and maintainance staff were second to none, the rooms and surrounding areas were spotless. My gripe is with the condition of the apartments itself, yeah if your having a week no problem and you make do. But seeing has we were here for over 3 weeks the standard of the rooms itself was just not good enough. I am no snob or anything but the apartments were dark and terribly outdated, they need to be painted brighter with a comfier settee ( was like sitting on a bench ) and new beds need to be put in has they are very hard and uncomfy, also the wardrobes smelt very musty and damp so i,d advise not to stay there in the cooler months. It,s okay has a base but if you fancy a night in or just chill for a few hours or have a night in, these apartments are not for you at all. We stayed in 120 block one. So i,m afraid unless they do these up we won,t be staying there again i,m afraid. But again i have to say all the staff were exceptional and it should not reflect on them has it is just that money needs spending on the rooms itself.

Room Tip: I can,t they are all the same, except some rooms are bigger than others.

Just come back from 10 days at the Celeste Apartments and have only praise. We paid £307 for 10 nights for myself, my husband and my 17 year old daughter. You get what you pay for. If you want fluffy bath towels and luxury bedding then don't book the Celeste. Book 5* accommodation and pay the price. The Celeste offers clean basic accommodation.
On arrival we were booked in by a lovely, friendly receptionist very quickly and left to enjoy our holiday. The apartment was large enough to comfortably accommodate the 3 of us with lots of storage space and a well stocked small kitchen.
Our apartment was on the upper floor of the adults only block and had a terrace off the lounge area with a table and chairs and a further terrace off the bedroom with sunbeds for private sunbathing although this tended to get mega hot in the afternoon. It was lovely and peaceful.
As we mostly eat out the kitchen equipment was irrelevant to us really. We tended to make tea and toast in the morning then head off to the beach and have a late lunch and dinner out at one of the many bars and restaurants in the area. There are so many to choose from and something to suit everybody's taste and budget.
We didn't use the pool area as we like the beach but the pool area was never overcrowded and there were plenty of sunbeds available with parasols.
We liked Las Cucharas beach as is was where we stayed last year and our favourite late lunches were at Robinson's and Flintstones.
I honestly can't recommend an evening meal as we enjoyed every meal we had but if you're looking for something cheap, cheerful and really friendly then head to The Highlander, The Midlander and Motown's.

Room Tip: Ask for the adult only block on the upper floor if you want peace an quiet and private sunbathing.

Transport: drops u off at the bus stop across the road took us 10minutes and 2 locals to show us where it was.
Beach: 5 minute walk
Shops: spa 2minute walk
Apartment: 2 adults. Bed not the best comfort but didn't ache. Shower is poor, i have had wee's that flow quicker. Kitchen: microwave, toaster, 2 hobs, fridge & kettle, pots, pans etc.
TV: one free english channel.
Wifi: €20 for 1week.

Hotel receptionist very helpful with help planning trips. Giving local information in regards to days out etc.
You get given two sets of keys for each apartment. On that bunch there is a key that unlocks the green gates to all 3 builds.
We stayed in the middle Block that had a pool table in a sheltered area.

No deposit required.

Close to many bars & food places.

Bugs: the second we got there, the maid was battering a cockroach with a sweeping brush & then swept it down the grid.
but didnt see any more throughout the weeks stay.
(Maybe she scared them off)
& a random ant every now and then in the kitchen area.

Local square puts on music a couple of nights a week. Lovely atmosphere.

,.. Costa teguise itself is very windy, sand hurt us when it blew at us on the beach. Lovely to stay around the pool in because of the breeze x
