“Very good basic apartments”
Reviewed 31 May 2014 via mobile

This was our second trip to these apartments, they are basic but clean. Location is ideal. Staff are fantastic especially in reception. Garden and pool areas are brilliant. Very suitable for wheel chair users and Oasis Lanz always try to accommodate for this.
One annoying thing is the team of Timeshare sellers located in reception who constantly take people round to look at a couple of done up apartments and do the hard sell with the scratch cards and giving a cheap bottle of sparkly to naive holiday makers to get them trapped into signing up to a very expensive Time share contract. Be warned, sign nothing!

Very clean, well equipped room with kettle, coffee maker, toaster, hair drier, fridge, oven etc.
Room cleaned and towels changed twice in week.
Balcony door would not close properly despite our reporting it on first day but as we were on the top floor, this didn't bother us much.
One pool was closed during the first couple of days until June for "essential repairs". this caused a lot of problems at the second pool with guests "reserving" all the loungers with their towels the not putting in an appearance for the whole day. Selfish attitude and the practice should be stopped.
The hotel is in a great spot close to the town of Costa Teguise and the beaches. No excessive noise, Pleasant staff. We didn't eat in the hotel so cannot comment on the food except for the barbecue which was held one evening. Very tasty!
This was my second stay here and did not disappoint!

After looking at the reviews had very low expectations. The apartments are tierd and dated but clean in the areas that need to be. The location is perfect for all the best bars and restaurants and short trip to beach. The common areas are kept very clean and the pools are good, the pool bar is lovely and relaxing and has a happy hour and great cocktails. Entertainment most nights and we saw a fabulous male singer one evening and had a great time. It is not expensive to stay here and you get more than what you pay for. All staff are pleasant and helpful and I didn't see one cockroach on the premises. My first trip back to Lanzarote for 7 years and can't believe how much cheaper it is great value for money. Tekkers bar just around the corner and they have live singers every night and a great atmosphere. The apartments are fully equipped for a self cater if required. Don't worry about your holiday not 5* but definately worth the money. Are apartments were cleaned one during a 5 day stay wouldn't expect more.

Im sitting on the balcony at the oasis Lanz club writing this, and feel I need to address some of the comments.
Location is great, and when we arrived we were given a map which showed exactly where our apartment was located. I had emailed before arriving requesting an upper floor which we received, exactly what we wanted. Yes the apartments are in need of a freshning up, but the bedding is clean and has been changed twice in 5 days as have the towels. The pool area and the gardens are emaculate and the staff are all very happy to help. No sign of any cocroaches, but hey we are in a foreign country, so what if we did see any, as a previous review says.....get over yourself !
Havnt even seen any timeshare reps
Im glad you have to pay extra for the television, as it means im not paying for something I dont intend to use whilst on holiday.
Internet is extra, but works out at about 2 euros per day, and as I use it im happy to pay, but if you wish, there is plenty free wifi in the cafes and bars round about.
We didnt pay five star prices, so we didnt expect much, however we have got what we paid for and are more than happy with it.

Just returned from a weekend break with friends. After reading other reviews I was a lil bit nervous but after arrival really pleased. We had a top floor room over looking the pool. Granted the rooms are a little bit dated but it was clean and comfortable during our stay. So very happy. Hotel gardens and pool areas well maintained and cleaned regular. Only saw one cockroach outside in the garden so no issues with those during our stay.
Food at the pool bar very good, cocktails delicious.
All the staff here are very friendly and attentive so thank you all very much. I am looking forward to returning with my family. :) Brilliant value for the money

I stayed with my husband for three weeks in February 2014. The hotel apartment was much larger than we expected and extremely well equipped. Kitchen had a hob, oven, microwave, fridge, kettle and more than enough pots and pans. Sitting room had a full dining set, bed settee, tv. TV was on a meter I believe but we didn't use it having paid for wifi. Wifi packages vary from a few days to a month and is purchased from reception. It might seem expensive but the longer you buy the cheaper it is. It does drop occasionally.

My husband's mobility scooter was kept in the room at night. The whole complex was easily navigable for the disabled and negotiating a ground floor apartment was no trouble. You can hire mobility scooters in Costa Teguise. We were told they are about 90 euros a week. The whole area is ramped and there are great promenades along the sea for long rides.

The restaurant/bar had entertainment, barbeques, mexican nights, something going on most nights. The food especially the BBQ was lovely, no complaints there. Prices were higher than outside the hotel but we expected that. Two pools, one of which was heated and pleasantly so. However the wind was unusually cold for the time of year (Feb) so it was unpleasant getting out of the pool. Otherwise if you found a sunny spot out of the wind it got very hot.

People complaining of cockroaches must understand that these islands are infested with them. The hotel staff work very hard at keeping the grounds clear of rotting vegetation and litter, the rooms are thoroughly cleaned. It is not their fault if cockroaches get into your room. They are a fact of life in hot countries so get over yourselves. Get a can of fly spray and spray your room before you go out. If there are any bodies when you get back, do not have hysterics, sweep them up and dispose of them in tied up bag. If you can't deal with them stay calm and call reception to have them dealt with.

The location of the hotel is close to the Costa Teguise square so ideal for the best restaurants, bars and shops. You can go to one of the bars in the square of an evening and watch the entertainment on the band stand for free. The drummers march around on a Wednesday night and are very exciting to watch. The nearest beach is past the square five minutes walk away.

Definitely recommended. Would go again.

Room Tip: If you are disabled call well in advance to book a ground floor room.
