just got back today feeling relaxed after a great week here. All the good reviews were spot on .a very well run operation .Asked before we went for a quiet room got one .Nicest beds ive slept on ,4british channels on the tv and no charge.food and service great and cleaners are ace.Cannot wait to return.a mention on 2 things i did the grand tour 45 euros with last minute tours was worth every penny a whole day and you see a lot.The 2nd thing an organized mountain bike tour with planet bikes i did the advanced one and just about hung on in there but it was tough but also maybe one of my most exciting experiances ever.

Room Tip: if you want one round pool ask before you go great for watching kids or ask for one near bar ,or qui...

We stayed at the Santa Rosa last year & decided to go again this November. We were not disappointed. Our accommodation was a 1 bedroomed bungalow, just right for our party of 3 ladies. There is a bedroom with 2 single beds, wardrobe & safe. The kitchen area is well equipped for a holiday, with kettle, toaster, microwave and a 2 ring cooker hob. No oven, but then who wants to do lots of cooking when away. The bathroom had a bath with shower over, a sink, toilet & bidet & it is quite spacious. The living area is a good size with a sofa bed, large coffee table & a sideboard. There could be more drawers, but that is only a minor thing. Sheets were changed twice during our weeks stay, & towels changed 5 times. The bungalow was kept clean & also the grounds outside are well maintained. The room had no air conditioning, so not a good choice in summer.
We were half board & found the food varied & well cooked. Lots of choice for all tastes.
All staff at the hotel are friendly & helpful. I cant comment on the bar or play areas as we didn't use them, but other people seemed happy with them.
The outdoor pool is freezing cold. Only once did we see anyone in & they didn't linger long. There is a gym & an indoor heated pool at the hotel, but you are charged to use it.
The hotel is near to a Hiperdino shop, only a few yards from the entrance, so you can stock up on water, milk, bread & reasonably priced booze, etc. etc.
The beach is a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel & a pleasant stroll on the seafront brings you to Costa Teguise centre.
We went on a trip to Timanfaya which is good value at 20 euros. There is a longer trip which also has a meal, but we did that one last year & it isn't worth the extra money.
Playa Blanca market is a good trip also. This is on Wednesday & Saturday & costs 10 euros.
There are lots of change shops around & the rate is better than at home.
To sum up, the Santa Rosa is a good hotel, we have been twice now & have already booked for a week in March.

Room Tip: There are apartments which are 3 storeys with quite steep stairs, so not good for elderly or young c...

We visted the santa rosa 10th-17th Nov, we were in a bungalow apartment which was spacious for myself, husband and 2 year old daughter, i would think it may be slightly cramped with older children. When we arrived they had put a cot in our room, however soon brought in a spare bed to use the day after. The hotel grounds out lovely, the pool although freezing was big, salt water pool but that i found was ok.
We were half board, the food was lovely, they did a theme night each night. They had highchairs, plastic plates, cutlery, colouring table etc .. for little ones which i thought was a good idea. Also just outside the restuarant was 2 football nets and 2 foot balls, also a basket ball net which i thought was a good idea if the kids get bored.
The pool bar staff were lovely, helpful, we often went at happy hour 4-6 1 euro a pint of larger.
They also had a bouncy castle near the baby pool which i thought was a good idea too.
They have the bowling, fun ball pool, climbing frame area, enetertainer and mini golf and a park to help entertain the kids which was good. I recommend steptoes round the corner for a nice meal, and rancho texas is a must to go to for a family day out, definatly worth the money.

We have recently returned from the Santa Rosa on a self catering basis, we were allocated a bungalow by the crazy golf & paddle courts & as it was out of season it was very quiet in the area. We utilised the pool bar for most lunches & cannot complain & enjoyed a few afternoon 'happy hours' from 4 - 6 pm when drinks were 2 for 1, they will keep your 2nd drink in the pump for when you are ready. The complex is very well maintained & would appear to be kept clean, we did have a problem with the drains in the bathroom but this was dealt with immediately when reported. We had clean towels left on the 5 days the cleaners came into the room & as we only used the kitchen facilities for breakfast, the toaster & kettle were adequate for our needs. We enjoyed eating out every evening, there are some really good restaurants on the road to the town, we did not use any around the corner from the complex, as we had been to Costa Teguise before we went back to places we had ate before & had good meals - we were not disappointed again (& it was about 10 years since we were last there) Did not rate Pablo's in the centre of town, but the steak house next door was fantastic as was a restaurant in a quiet square around the corner who specialised in fish, but did have other items on the menu. Do try the wines from Lanzarote - we had a bottle every evening & they are great! It was great to see what was previously waste land changed into pathways & gardens, one near the Santa Rosa is a great cut through to the promenade that you can use to walk to town.

We spent a week in November in Santa Rosa and are VERY impressed by its value for money. It is 3* with many of the features of a higher rating and some of the best cleaning services I've ever had. The complex is child-friendly but also grand for a mature couple like ourselves. Special thanks to Noel in the restaurant - we missed providing your well-deserved tip on our last night - but don't worry- we'll be back! Thanks also to our helpful reception staff, especially the lady (whose name escapes me) whose second daughter had just gone back to her homeland on holiday. A super week.

Room Tip: Bungalows near the pool are perfect for young families : overlooking the Cactus garden smashing for...

Santa Rosa was actually ok. There was some stuff to do but not really much for kids. Theres was a morning kids club Monday - Saturday : 10.30am - 12pm and the person who runs it does all fun stuff "The Entertainer" She was really nice and thats what made me pick to. If she wasn't there I'd pick 1. The place needs to be secure they let anyone just walk in and gates are open! Where I stayed was so messy and small. The walls were cracked and floors etc it was bad. The pool bar was good to get a drink in middle of day but i didn't like food there. The pool was to cold my legs felt numb and it was cold. if you go hope you have a nice time. If you want to stay at pool all day and get a tan its properly for you but not really for me

Room Tip: Rooms near pool seemed ok

Just back from a 2week holiday at the Santa Rosa and wish I was still there,The complex is well maintained and very clean staff are forever cleaning up,we asked for a quiet sunny bungalow and that's exactly what we got nos 1049 to 1060 get sun all day,so spent most of our time on the patio,we were half board and the food was excellent a good choice at breakfast and always something to tickle your taste buds at night time, the pool bar was visited most days at happy hour between 4and6 2 beers 2 euros, staff very helpful in every way as were the cleaning ladies, for value for money this is very hard to beat,it's not the Ritz but you don't pay the Ritz's prices, will defiantly be back..
