hi , we only back from our holiday.we had briliant time , well more about hotel...its very very nice , very tidy around , plants , and lovely trees , well looked after.nice swimming pool , very good swimming pool for a children non-slip and diff depth, goes deeper gradually.plenty of sun beds , maybe not that many umbrellas , but it wasnt the problem.rooms are nice , everything is standard , only one thing that there was no conditioner, kettle , i dont even know , but probably u can rent it,u have to rent safe as well.rooms were cleaned 5 times a week , towels changed 2 a week.we went on a halfboard , so we had breakfast , which was really good full choice of everything u like(english brekfast and cereals, yoghurts ,fruits) , evening meals were great as well , u can have steak , or chicken fillet , fish , loads of salads and other chefs specialities, believe me u wont starve.if u dont like hotels breakfast u can always get breakfast from 2.50eu just outside the hotel , there is the shop as well , very cheap , beer in bar from 1.50.just in front of santa rosa hotel there is corona hotel and they have outside like take away , dont get food in that place , wasnt nice.beach only 500 meters away , and there is lovely beach walk , that can take u to other beach , second beach is better.location is very good , close to the aqua park ,we had to pay only 3eu from hotel to aqua park for a taxi, close to the main part of the town , good choice of bars and restaurants , chinese buffet starts from 4.95eu child free
i think to go to this hotel would be really worth your money.

I have just returned from an 11 night stay at the santa rosa and it was a fantastic hotel the rooms were cleaned 5 times a week the whole complex was spotless. The meals were superb always a variety to eat and cooked in front of you.The staff steph janine liz and the rest were really helpful and always willing to help, always smiling they make this a great place to stay. The saltwater pool is cold but when its 28 degrees it seems colder.I only have 1 minor gripe which is no air con,a fan in the rooms would help. Our room was large with a big living room nice bathroom.and the bedroom had enough space for our clothes.also a lovely terrace to enjoy weather on.So to some up tha santa rosa Great staff rooms pool and hotel.ps hope janines eye is better oh steph enjoy florida dont forget sheikra in busch its awesome. My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sata Rosa Apartments for one week at the end of September and I have to say we had a wonderful time. We had a one bed bungalow which was spotless, cleaned every day except Wednesday and Saturday. The whole complex was so clean and tidy. The pool was lovely although a bit cold and very salty but considering the heat it was very welcome, there were plenty of beds to lie on. There was a small pool for the young kids and also a play park beside the pool area. The pool bar was lovely and the staff very helpful.

We hired a car from the airport which was a bit scary trying to find our way to costa teguise as the sign posts are not great and driving on the other side of the road was a bit of a nitemare. If we had to do it again we would have just got the bus into the resort and hired a car in costa teguise as there was a hire place just across the road from the apartments. There is limited parking outside the santa rosa and it is hit or miss if you get a space but there was an area across the road to park.

There are great facilities at the apartments for kids and there seemed to be entertainment on every day and night for them.

The apartment was very warm at night, a fan would have been great but other than that I couldn't fault the place.

The reception area is very spacious and there is internet access, one euro gets you 20min access.

There was a cash machine just outside the sata rosa and a number of bars and places to eat around the cornor and a supermarket , I have to mention the Cavern Bar as it is owned by a great couple from Northern Ireland we ate and drank there most days, the food was first class!!

We walked into the main shopping area most evenings which was only about 15mins the best way to do this is along the promanade as it is a lovely quiet stroll and the views are amazing.

On our last day we drove to the National Park was was definately worth seeing, it was only 8 euros each to get in and there is a bus that takes you round, it was one of the highlights of the holiday. We also stopped in Playa Blanca on the way back to the airport, it was a beautiful resort, lots of restaurants and shops, well worth a visit.

All in all we had a lovely week and we will be going back hopefully next year!!

I have no bad words at all to say about the Santa Rosa, we have just returned from a two week break staying half board, from the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble, check in took no time at all and when we arrived at the room a cold supper was waiting for us as we arrived after dinner had finished, the food was great, great choice every night, and puds to die for, the home made rice pudding was delightful. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the room was cleaned every day apart from Monday and Wednesdays when i think the ladies have their days off, our towels were changed every other day and our beds were changed three times. The bathroom was exceptionally clean and had a shower over a bath tub which was great as our two year old is not so sure about showers!...Bastian beach which is a short walk away is amazing with lots of fish to feed. We hired a car for teh first week and discovered Lanzarote...a must...Playa Blanca is nice to visit and Peurto Del Carmen has some great shops...however Costa Teguise would be my first choice, and i would highly reccommend the Santa Rosa.

Booked the hotel after checking reviews on the tripadvisor website. This is the best place I have stayed. It is only a 15 minute drive from the airport. It is very clean, the atmosphere is very relaxed, the staff are all courteous and make you feel very welcome, There is a Swimming Pool, Bowling Alley, Mini Golf, Tennis Courts, Basketball nets, small playground, sandpit for playing Boules, Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Internet access, nighttime entertainment which can range from acrobats, reptile shows, flameco dancing to parrot shows. If you get bored of this there are some other bars and restaraunts close by. Its a very short walk from the sea with a man made lagoon ideal for snorkelling and scuba diving, its not too close to the centre of Costa Teguise, the main bus route runs past the front of the hotel. The food is gorgeous. There was no mosquitoes.

We managed to get flights transfers and 2 weeks half board for £490 each. I doubt I will ever have a nicer time on holiday unless I go back here again.
Pay no attention to whoever complained about mold on a previous review, they probably caused it themselves by having wet towels and not allowing the room to ventilate. But yes the water is cold and salty but you cant have everything can you.

Stayed at Santa Rosa end of July -early Aug 09.

I'll not go into detail other than to list the usuals:

1) Clean Apartment/Bungalow

2) Pool has more salt in it than a salt cellar and it freezes your bits but you soon get
used to it

3) Unbearable heat if you close your main patio door on a night time ~ a fan would have
been useful . (If anyone suggests leaving the patio door open....I tried it and ended
up chasing big brown cockroach type beetles round the room for an hour ,boy they
can run. We had a drain outside our bungalow and it was amusing to see them
running

4) Food is pretty good, different every night and enough variety for the kids not to go
hungry.

5) Great service with a smile ~ happy hour is a nice touch

6) Entertainment is pretty duff unless you like parrot shows,20 minute flamenco
attempts and a quiz that is impossible to compete in unless you were born in
Barcelona or Madrid.

7) Took a kettle with us (£4 at ASDA) just left it there

Overall, the Santa Rosa apartments were nice and the staff were great. The location isn't too bad if you can put up with a 20 minute stroll to the market square every night but, even then, the center was pretty dead.
There doesnt seem to be a central area or heart to Costa Tequise where people gather...the Market Square being the closest thing.Talking with one of the bar owners he blames the all inclusive and half boards which have killed meals and night time strollers..he also mentioned that establishments will be closing at the end of the year with many not breaking even.

The Island of Lanzarote is not a pretty place unless you like cactus and rock. The only excursion worth going on is the Ranchos Texas Zoo trip ...but only through the day,the night time is an extortionate rip-off.
You must hire a car and do the excursons yourself otherwise a typical trip out will cost a family of four 100 euro. Car hire is cheap and painless and if you are a woman who uses hair straightners....don't bother taking them unless you have an abundant supply of Harmony, the wind will kill your straight hair within 2 seconds of going outside.

Santa Rosa is a big thumbs up but Lanzarote itself is a tired tourist island living in its hey-day of the early 90's.

We stayed at these appartments from 9 to 23 july 2009 and I would strongly recommend them. 100% cleanliness from apartments to communal area. Staff very friendly. Large swimming pool plenty of beds. We stayed on half board basis and enjoyed the food again restaurant spotlessly clean. Our apartment was situated in front of the pool and a childrens park which our kids loved. Kids entertainer was excellent he was called Dabi and he would get kids involved in activities during the day and by night he would organise kids mini disco and show this took place in adjoining complex which also had ten pin bowling, kids play area pool tables bar. Also tennis courts and mini golf. Really recommend "Short South Tour" which takes you to the Volcanos and camel ride (extra) it was good laugh also includes wine tasting and shops included. Tour guide Nick really knowledgabe and good laugh picked up 08.30 am and dropped off 14.30 pm time for lunch. 15 minutes walk into main resort plenty of shops also nice wee range of shops restaurants outside complex. Really enjoyable stay for everyone from Grandparents to Kids will definitely be back!!
