These brothers are from northern Italy, but I'm pretty sure the pizza was just as good or better than a place called Pizzaiolo or some such in Tuscany run by transplanted Neapolitans. (Have not yet been to Naples itself.) This is a nice find in Costa Calma, not at all out of the way but in a quiet nook in a mini-mall on outskirts of this 1970s purpose-built resort that with its avant-garde hotel architecture and vacant lots looks like like a possible setting for a sequel to Koyaanisqatsi. Pizza arrived out of the oven nicely charred here and there, unmistakably superior to the (quite decent) pizza in the Spanish places, accompanied by a huge salad of bitter greens and a giant flask of homemade chili oil, followed by a good espresso. Service from a very nice local girl who looked a little like a librarian. Hard-core German windsurfing pros at neighboring table (California surfer cool Teutonic speech cadences (!) added to cognitive dissonance).
