The hotel beautifully overlooks the Playa d'en Bossa beach. At first we thought (due to other reviews) that the lookie lookie men would be a problem... they were not. All you had to do was say 'no thank you' when seeing them approach and they wouldn't approach you. The beach was beautiful, not a pebble in sight! If you look closely you may manage to find a few shells for souvenirs.

The evening entertainment was great, particularly the Katy Perry tribute. She was very inspirational to all of the little girls who at the end of the show got up and danced with her. The African acrobats (named African Footprints) were extremely talented! Sometimes the audience missed the applause cues because they were so in awe! (hint: there was fire involved!)

So many drinks were included within the all inclusive package, and the bar staff were extremely generous with their alcohol ratios! There were many cocktails included in the all inclusive price, I didn't get to try then all, but do recommend the mojito and the pina colada! My two brothers favoured the whiskey and coke, and vodka and coke (also included in the all inclusive package). My step dad claimed that the beer was much stronger than the beer he drinks back in England and was very satisfied.

The Thomsons staff based at the hotel were very helpful, and it was very easy to book excursions outside the resort. We booked a relaxing boat trip to an island, where we had a BBQ, swam in the sea, and watched the sunset.

Although there was no small children as a part of our group, the children there did seem to thoroughly enjoy the kids disco organised by the entertainment staff which ran every night.

The dining layout was a huge buffet style room, with the chefs preparing a variety of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food variety meant that everyone found something to suit their taste. The presentation of the desserts looked very professional with a variety of colourful cakes, mouses, and ice creams.

The pool was very large, and we found it easy to reserve a sun bed in the morning.

The rooms were cleaned everyday (which was handy due to the amount of sand we left on the floor after a trip to the beach.)

Overall a very nice holiday, which was very family friendly.

Travelled as a couple, arriving 8th August for a week. Had a lovely holiday at this hotel. Arrived around 12.30pm and were given a glass of champagne as we entered the hotel. Reception was very helpful, although our room wasn't ready as check in is 2pm. Not a real problem though, a porter took our luggage into the luggage room and we were given 2 pool towels (which you can change by the pool 3 times per week) and were shown to a shower room where we changed into our swimwear. We were also shown the restaurant and got some lunch whilst we were waiting. We managed to find sunbeds around the pool after lunch. Our room was ready at approx 2.30 so we collected our luggage and went to our room. We stayed in Block 6 and had asked for a pool view and a high floor when booking. We got just that! a lovely pool view to the right and a part sea view to the left. The rooms are like a boutique hotel, gorgeous. Really comfy beds, lovely lighting, a full length mirror was in the room also (I know some people early on in the season complained the rooms didn't have full length mirrors). The air con was great as the balcony had the sun all afternoon. The bathroom was nice too. The room had a mini fridge with water in and there was also tea and coffee in the room. The rooms were cleaned daily and the towels and bedding changed daily also. The only issue we had with the room was the shower pressure at peak times, one day, in the middle of showering, the water pressure went to a drip so avoid peak times for using the shower! The pool is a good size and has a lifeguard on all day. The terrace is huge and there are loads of sunbeds and parasols. Towels were put out from around 7.30ish and all the beds had gone by about 9.30ish although some days, beds were still available after 11. The daytime entertainment consisted of Aqua Gym at 11am, which was really good and we did it every day. This was followed by some other activity, french boules or beach vollyball. The pool bar had self service beer and soft drinks and there was a fridge filled with bottled water which you helped yourself to and was never overly busy even though the hotel was full. Yes they play loud music around the pool and it's very repetative and they definitely need some new CD's! but it wasn't really a problem. The food in the restaurant was really good, lots of variety, the desserts were the best I've ever had at an all inclusive hotel. Breakfast was really good too, fresh omlettes made to order, fresh pancakes and waffles. The fresh fruit smoothies were really nice. Then you had your self service tea/coffee, beer, wine and soft drinks. Wasn't too keen on the wine but everything else was fine. The 'a la carte' restaurant wasn't up to much though, still self service except for the drinks, they were brought to you. The food was exactly the same as the main restaurant but less choice. The evening entertainment we only went to watch twice. They have a kids disco first and then play bingo for a bottle of champagne followed by an act. The first night was an Olly Murs tribute singer, he was quite good and managed to get people up dancing. The second time the advertised act cancelled at the last minute and the act they got in was quite bad, we left and went to sit out the back of the hotel in the 'chill out area' outside, this was really nice, they played good music, not too loud and we could sit and relax with our drinks. The cocktails were really nice and you didn't have much of a wait at the lounge bar. The staff at this hotel are really helpful and friendly, all of them from the bar staff, restaurant staff and cleaning staff and the entertainment team. There is access to the beach at the back of the hotel too, you need your room card to get in and out. The beach in Playa is really nice. This hotel is a really great family/couples hotel and could not fault it. Playa den Bossa however, is not a family resort. It is a clubbers resort and geared up for that. So expect to be hassled by people promoting the clubs and all that comes with that. Ibiza town is really nice and only 2 euros and ten mins up the road on the bus which stops outside the hotel. The transfer from the airport is only ten minutes and yes there are planes flying over the hotel which are noisy but you don't really notice this and it never bothered us on a night. I would recommend this hotel to families that don't venture out of the hotel much (which a lot don't when all inclusive). The resort and beach area is for the clubbers, not families.

Room Tip: There are no lifts at this hotel, so if you have buggies, young children, ask for a ground floor. The rooms overlooking the pool on the left side of the hotel get the sun all afternoon.

Lovely hotel, superbly located for beach, bars, restaurants etc.. Staff very attentive could not fault them at all. Kids club ok, my son enjoyed it, but mainly due to the staff and not activities offered, more needed. Food was brilliant, wide range available, enough to suit every need. Clean presentable dining hall. Evening entertainment was ok, but to be honest was a little monotonous, very small entertainments team, small budget, not really amazed by it to be honest. Again what Ruth and her team do all day every day must be hard work. I appreciate their efforts as they work very hard. More entertainment staff needed with bigger better shows. This is not a platinum hotel at all. It's just a 4+ at best. Air conditioning in rooms rubbish!! Needs completely upgrading, ours leaked consistently for 2 weeks! Yes it was fixed 3 times, but still leaked the last night we were there. Had to put the bin under it in the end to prevent slippages. Maintenance are brilliant and were there in a flash, but there's only so much they can do with a knackered old air con system. But overall enjoyed our stay and didn't let the little niggles ruin it. It is a lovely hotel and I do recommend, just don't expect platinum.

This was a fantastic vacation spot to which I now want to return whenever I travel to Ibiza.

The hotel is close to one of the busiest beaches in Ibiza, Playa d'en Bossa, but it is located at a distance from the party gangs of Jet and Bora-Bora. This means the same sandy beach, but much cleaner and quieter. Ushuaia and Space are at a walking distance.

The hotel is really clean and new inside. Rooms are spacious with big enough balconies. Furniture is new and stylish. The beds can be a bit hard, but hey, different people prefer different beds. :-) There is a flat screen TV, a small fridge, and a safe in the room. The latter is for a fee. Wi-Fi is free for the guests, but with many users it may be slow.

The water is not fit for drinking but the hotel provides unlimited bottled drinking water to all. The food at the buffet cafeteria is good and you can choose different things every day.

The only problem with the hotel is ants. If you leave a food stain or a Coke drop somewhere, you will have to ask the staff to come in with a pesticide. But they do it quite quickly. :-)

In any case, this hotel is a sure choice!

When we arrived at the hotel which is only 10 mins from the airport we thought that being under the flight path would be a problem but it really wasn't and hardly noticed the sound. The hotel and it's staff were great and when we called them on day one with no air con they immediately fixed it. Our room was newly refurbished, very modern and had a large balcony. the room was cleaned daily with new towels and sheets etc. Although Ibiza is known for the clubs and there were three within 300m, we did not hear anything so noise was not a problem. Food was unbelievable with so much variety and eat as much s you want. The pool was great but the beach even better and backing onto the hotel . White sands, warm clear blue water and not too packed. Great for kids as you can wander quite far into the water without getting out of your depth. Wi fi was adequate and didn't work in our room so everyone tended to use the wifi by the pool, in the restaurant or in the reception. There was entertainment every night and some was good and some not so good. The only thing we were asked to pay for was the safe (20 euros) but didn't bother. All in all a great hotel, food, drink, beach and staff. We would definitely go back

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 1st or second floor. the ground floor room are all around the pool so lots of people walk by your room during the day
