Ok, first things first. This hotel is billed as 5 star but would be at the 4 star (Which is still good) level in my opinion because of a couple of things. The food had little variation in choice but was presented quite well overall. Their is no dress code for the guy's in the evening which is not in line with 5 star protocol in my view. Their were no where near enough parasols around the pool areas. Right, I'm done with the negatives. The location of the hotel is quiet but near enough for other hotels and energetic places if you want the Ibiza experience with the cool people. However, the entertainment in the hotel is brilliant for both the kids and grown ups. We saw tribute bands including The Four Tops and Queen. The animation team were also excellent al week. Overall, the hotel is up there with others we have been in around the world but you have to take what comes in some countries as nowhere is the same so you can't compare like for like. If you want to go into Ibiza town you get on the number 14 bus right at the end of the hotel drive and this cost is 1.90 euros each one way and takes about 15 mins. It goes right into the town centre and you need to look for the roundabout with the water fountains which will be on the left side of the bus then ring the buzzer to get off at the next stop. Then just walk back down the road which is a straight road to the port and marina. Your reference point at the marina to find the road to go back to the bus stop is a statue of a seafarer with a ships wheel and that's the road you take. Very easy. A lot of good places to eat and drink at the port/marina and shops to browse around. We also went into San Antonio to take a boat trip to see the sunset. 29.50 euro's each with a glass of bubbly thrown in to toast the sunset. Beware though if you are a bit prudish though as the boat passes very close to a hippy community which is no problem but they are all totally naked. I have never seen so many camera flashes! We found Ibiza very relaxing and the hotel in line with our expectations. Have a good time..........Mike & Kathy.

Room Tip: We were in block 3000 which was by the quiet pool so slept well all week.

Just had a two week break at this hotel and had a great time. Everywhere is spotless the rooms are large and a nice balcony we were overlooking the round pool block 3 so nice and quiet , must reiterate a couple of comments on here about the green marks around the round pool which made it slippy aside from that everything great. The buffet in the main restaurant was fine plenty of choice if you could not find anything to suit you are too fussy and should be in a bed and breakfast somewhere. As for sun beds always managed to get a couple and like anywhere else if the sunbed brigade are out early join them like everyone else does ! Two nice pools and a poolbar special mention to Sergio "two beers" always had the drinks ready before we asked , in the main bar Christina and all the staff were very efficient as were all the staff from main restaurant to reception and maids. Again in agreement with previous comments here there should be a stricter dress code for the evening meal saw lots of people looking like they had come straight from the beach , vest tops shorts and flip flops are not acceptable but nothing was done . The Portofino beach bar was lovely for lunch right next to the beach , the hotel backs straight onto the beach which was clean and nice walks to the old town (about 1 hour and 1/4) , bus back was 1.90 euros and stops right outside the hotel. Theres also the look out tower on the beach which you can go round Tuesday to Sunday 10-2pm for free , great views from the top , right next to a nature reserve which was also a nice walk. The weather was fantastic .There was an Italian conference on while we were there with 400 people for the weekend , seemed to get busier the second week .Would recommend this hotel for location 10 mins from the airport so you will hear the planes this doesnt bother us. All the entertainment staff did a great job throughout the day and eveing , saw a couple of good shows Four Tops Tribute band were very good.Would certainly go back and recommend.

Room Tip: Block 3 overlooking the round pool as quieter and away from the pool bar and entertainment.

Just returned (about 3hrs ago), stayed for a week with my wife, 22 month daughter and the in laws.

The hotel is immaculate, staff very friendly & helpful. The food is as you'd expect, fresh & varied, however very repetitive. The saving grace is the Mediterranean restaurant which is fantastic, I highly recommend the steak (half a cow), it's an additional 20+ euros but worth every penny, also the lobster is fantastic but again at an additional charge.

The beach is lovely with loungers available for hire at 7€ per day (note the parasols are an additional 7€), The main club Ushuaia is a short walk down the beach and looks amazing, everything in d'en Bossa appears to bow down to this gigantic super club. Unfortunately with a 22 month old we didn't get the opportunity to rave it up (to be honest we're past that phase).

My only complaint is the all inclusive beer...it's rank, it's called Cruzcampo & it's the only draught available. for any of the bottled beers, Heineken or sol, it's an additional 3/4€. I don't really understand why the hotel has decided on this as their only beer it seriously is rough & no one we spoke to liked it, whereas the nearby beach bars & bars/restaurants in Ibiza generally serve Estrella & Mahon which are beautiful. My advise to the hotel...add a decent draught!

We also found that unless you request the branded spirits, the tenders will pour local stuff. I am sure the local spirits are fine, however I am not one to chase waterfalls & prefer to stick with the brands, especially when they are included within the all inclusive.

Tip: save money & time on the transfers to & from airport, it's literally 5/10 mins away (15€ in a taxi), which is well worth not sitting on a sweaty bus while doing the tedious drop offs. Our hotel room looked over a lake right next to the runway...it's that close, no exaggeration but don't worry the planes really aren't that noisy & in fact are pleasant to watch.

Hotel: Get Estrella on draught & we'll be back ;-)

Room Tip: Depends on what you want, the rooms closest to the quiet pool will be the quieted or the rooms over...

We have recently returned from this hotel, staying 4th -18th June. The hotel is at the far end of Playa d,en Bossa, unfortunately the walk into town is rather ugly. The Hotel is very clean, spacious and well maintained, the rooms are compact but well fitted out.The staff throughout the complex are really friendly& always acknowledge you with a friendly word. The highlight for us was the Portofino beach restaurant with good food, beers, wine, spirits and outstanding staff. The entertainment team were extremely good, putting on some very entertaining shows, the other evenings had tribute acts or other shows, On our arrival at the hotel it was obvious that conference delegates were in attendance, this caused the hotel to appear full, but the delegates generally went off site during the day & again in the evening, this gave the hotel a feeling of emptiness and was totally lacking in any atmosphere. This went on for 4/5 days and seemed very strange for a large 5* hotel in June. We found the main downside with the hotel was the lack of a dress code in the buffet restaurant for dinner. On several evenings we observed women in beach wear covered only by a flimsy garment & men in vests & sport shorts. Why do people go on holiday to a 5* hotel & dress like scruffs for dinner?. Many people we spoke to made the same comments, it was not only our opinion. We did complain to the hotel manager but her comment that they expect people to "dress appropriately" is not going to rectify this, a proper dress code is required & should be enforced. We visited the Mediterranean restaurant 5 times & thoroughly enjoyed the food & general ambience of the place, although let down again by the poor dress code. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, the weather was fantastic and I would reiterate that the staff here are superb.

We have just returned from a week staying here with our 10 month son and had a really enjoyable time. However there is some areas that need improving.

The hotel and the rooms are all spotless but as previously mentioned there is a green slime round the pool which for whatever reason doesn't seem to be cleaned!!! There is no waiter/waitress service round the pool but as travelling with my family this was not a problem to us.

The buffet restaurant had a good selection of food and our son loved the attention off all the ladies especially Mey who always greeted everyone with a smile on the door. There is however a dress code even for lunch where men cannot wear vests or women see through cover ups.

There are 2 la carte restaurants where guests can dine as many times as you like but as there are no reservations needed this impedes the service as they can over fill them at times. There is also a strict policy on men's footwear that they cannot wear smart flip flops but women can??? I had to go into town and buy some shoes just so I could dine in them!

One last thing to be aware of travelling with Thomson / First Choice who fly you out there at 06.00 to arrive around 10.00 local time your room is more than likely not going to be available when you arrive. We had to wait over an hour for ours which wasn't ideal with the little one. In fairness to the hotel there is a sign stating check in is 14.00.

Overall though we had a fantastic time.

This is our third time in as many years staying at the Grand Palladium Palace, standards are still very high, from the rooms to the public areas. Most staff are pleasant and work hard to make your stay enjoyable,in particular the animation team. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. Only negative point is that mojitos and baileys are not on the AI list and must be paid for,on previous years these drinks were part of the AI list, never the less we probably will return next year.

My husband (31) and I (29) have just returned from a week staying here and we really enjoyed it, although there were a few niggling bits. Firstly, it took nearly 4 hours to check in, as we were told check out wasn’t until 12pm, and check in was from 2pm, so initially we thought this isn’t so bad as we were given our wristbands so we could start using the all inclusive, but after awhile, we were getting agitated as we wanted to get showered and into our swimwear so we could chill out by the pool (we had been up since 2am as our flight was at 6am so felt grubby). It got to 3.30 and at this point we thought surely it doesn’t take over 3 and a half hours to clean the room? We eventually got to our room at 4pm, only to find that the headboard was dusty at the top and so was the bathroom around the bin and the toilet and there was hair in the bath!
The rooms were well equipped with a large wardrobe, modern bathroom with powerful hairdryer with a nozzle and diffuser. There is also a free mini fridge with water that is replenished daily and cans of fizzy drink which was great. It also had dressing gowns and slippers which we thought was fantastic.
The second bit was that the hotel caters for a lot of older people here (40-70+), and we were overlooked a lot of times by the waiting staff in the buffet restaurant, because they wanted to serve more middle aged people first, probably to try and boost the tips, we felt we were being ignored due to our age. When you’re paying an awful lot of money for a holiday, the same amount as these other guests, you don’t appreciate it. One time at the buffet restaurant, we sat down at our table and a waiter was about to come over to take our drinks order, but then an older couple sat down after us, and they were served first, completely blanking the fact that we were there first! My husband complained about this as this is unfair and ageist. I’m not sure if the guest relations did anything about that.
Another time, they stopped allowing people to go outside on the terrace, and one waitress even went and closed the doors and put the cutlery trolley in the way to block the door to stop people from going outside which we felt was completely out of order. She even walked away giggling to herself and muttered something in Spanish. The terrace is actually the nicest part of the buffet as well. They said we weren't allowed to go outside as there was no waiter service, yet when we ordered drinks, we were told to get them ourselves from the machine! So no waiter service at all!! They definitely worked their way out of their tips!
There were a lot of children there as well, lots age 3 and under, which I was surprised about.
Talking about small children, we thought there was an adult’s only quiet pool, but apparently this isn’t true since we went to this so called pool and there were babies constantly crying there, it felt like a crèche, which doesn’t make for a relaxing time by the pool! I would suggest the hotel could have one pool for adults and one pool for children so people who want peace and quiet get just that! We weren’t the only ones to comment on that either.
The staff are generally lovely, always greeting you when you go to the restaurants. The food is great, especially in the Italian and Tex Mex, I loved the entrance to them where you got a glass of prosecco on arrival with a raspberry at the bottom, what a lovely touch! You would have to book a table during busy times, but we managed to go to each, but couldn’t towards the end as the hotel had more guests.
The bar staff are brilliant, we loved Chris, Richard and Dexter! They are amazing guys, always happy and cheerful. We tipped them a few euro’s most times after ordering drinks and we got so much extra attention, it was great; they made us special cocktails and even wrote VIP on a paper coaster for us! So we definitely felt a shout out to them was well deserved.
The entertainment during the day was ok; water polo, water volleyball, aqua aerobics, archery, and rifle shooting and the reps that ask are very friendly and from all over the world, but if you say no they leave you alone. The evening entertainment was ok, they put on shows in a big tent (but it’s separate from the hotel so if you want a drink and need the toilet, you miss part of the show).
We didn’t use the spa as it was 20 euro’s for 90 minutes and treatments are very expensive – 45 euros for a hand massage – I can give my hand to my husband to do this for free!
The hotel is only a 10 minute walk to Space, which was amazing on the Sunday. It’s a nice walk along the beach to Bossa and a nice walk along the front too where there is a row of bars and restaurants, so perfect location!
All in all, we really enjoyed our holiday and would come back again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the ground floor have ants. Ours had loads of them, and flies and mosquito's too around...

Thank you very much for your comment and your stay at the Grand Palladium Palace Ibiza Resort & Spa. We are really happy to hear that you were satisfied with our rooms and the staff. It is sad to hear, that you did not enjoy the atmosphere at the buffet restaurant. We apologize for the long check-in time, which is very unusual as our staff always tries to proceed the process as fast as possible. Our facilities provide two big pools, the oval one is quieter as the animation team is only performing at the other pool, but children are allowed in both areas. We thank you very much for your observations which we have already forwarded to the responsible departments in order to provide the 5* service you deserve.
