This hotel deserves its great reputation in guide books and on Tripadvisor.
The owner was very helpful in finding activities and a guide to go up Parque Nacional de Celaque. The room, although not airconditioned, became cool after the sun had set. The gardens are beautiful, and the restaurant has a great vista. The wi-fi works well, and the drinks are decent. The food was not spectacular, the only negative I could say about this place.
It is situated just below the fort that dominates the old town. Everything is within 5 or so minutes walk from the hotel. The ambience of Gracias is languid, and friendly. While we stayed there for three days, in retrospect we should have stayed there longer.More
