We found the staff helpful and the setting of the campground is really idyllic. It has a little pond in the centre with sheep, ducks and chickens, lambs etc...a lovely friendly dog - the kids could run around and loved all the animals. On a sunny day this place is great. The rooms are pretty average and very basic..we stayed in "Middle Earth" 7 of us in one room. It was clean but extremely basic. The prettiness of the whole place made up for the basicness of the amenities. Very relaxed and the lady on reception was friendly. Just be aware that if you are coming here from the rail trail you will have to bike into town for supplies..I don't think they sold any at reception - they really should do. The log cabins look a little better than the other cabins offered and have ensuites.
