Despite the mix up with our mix up with our booking on arrival we thought the staff at this hotel were excellent, polite and helpful. But this hotel is classed as a 4* star hotel its sister hotel across the road is not and the people staying there, usually very loud young Australians, are allowed to use the pool so don't expect too many peaceful days around the pool. Also be advised that if you have difficulty with stairs there are lots of them in the hotel with no lifts. But overall a very nice hotel.

Recently refurbished, this stunning boutique hotel is located on the beach with the pool at the sister hotel next door. Public and private rooms alike are tastefully decorated and furnished. Set in peaceful landscaped gardens. Friendly staff, delicious food and very entertaining Greek night twice weekly.

Hotel was welcoming and extremely accommodating and helpful during our stay. Prior to arrival, I emailed the staff about my special occasion (honeymoon), and they had a bottle of wine and a fruit basket waiting when we arrived. We had an amazing time and the breakfast was great.

Note: This review may be more focused on the island healthcare system and the staff of Petinos Beach Hotel.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Petinos Beach Hotel for three days and two nights at the end of a week and a half long European excursion for some much needed R&R. Once we arrived it was obvious that that was not enough time in paradise, but more about that later. Unfortunately, on our last day the girlfriend fell ill with noro-virus and/or Mikonos' version of Montezuma's Revenge and/or a combination with something else. As we got ready to depart the difficult decision was made that we needed to go to the hospital in lieu of the airport. The very concerned and helpful woman at the front counter attempted to call a cab for us, but as you may find out the cabs on the island are nearly impossible to catch. Taking matters into their own hands, the hotel staff directed the transfer bus (airport shuttle) to take us to the hospital and the gentleman driving even helped explain to the doctors about the situation. And in true motherly fashion the front counter woman asked that I call if we needed any of her assistance.

We went to the public hospital and though the building may be from the 1960's, and there will be mosquitoes in the ER, the staff was friendly, concerned and helpful. They are perfectly capable of putting in an IV or doing a bit of stitches. After 5 liters of fluids, some antibiotics and a 16 hour stay there through the night we were on our way back to the hotel.

Upon arrival, it became evident that the entire staff was concerned our situation. From the maids to the bell boys, everyone was so kind and offered assistance. After a short discussion with the woman at the front desk (mind you this is a different shift, but both were superb) she was able to track down a room for us the night. The next morning they, of course, saw to it that we got off alright and bid us a very kind farewell.

Now then, about the amenities:

The pool is a salt water pool and is quite refreshing. There are lots of chairs around to lounge in but it can get full up. You can order drinks from the adjacent restaurant or get some beer/wine from the reasonably priced shop under the hotel. You can also venture onto the beach and the warm Aegean water which is literally 20 yards away.

Both restaurants associated with this hotel are very good and worth at least a lunch and enjoy Greek night at least once. There are also plenty of other restaurants as you walk down the beach. Again, everything is reasonably priced.

There is a public bus about 50 yards up the hill that will take you down town, it's easy and cheap.

Summary: Petinos Beach Hotel has a staff that is personable, kind, helpful and truly came to our rescue. The hotel itself is a paradise oasis on a beautiful beach with plenty of amenities just steps away. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

We were lucky enough to be upgraded to Petinos beach hotel when we visited in June.
We had initially booked into the Petinos Hotel but were upgraded on arrival.
This hotel was absolutely amazing! It was clean and had the most amazing view from the balcony.
The service given was way beyond expectations, everyone was always helpful and made sure you had the best holiday you could.
The breakfast served in the morning is delicious and keeps you going for most of the day:)

Just arrived back from staying at Petinos Beach Hotel for 7 nights and felt I would write my first holiday review . this small but beautifull hotel is stunning with great views over the bay the rooms are spotless and very classy we stayed in room 234 you can lay in bed at night and hear the sea lapping onto the beach only metres away the water taxis to other parts of island also only feet away the evening entertainment is low key and mainly around the few very nice restaurants on the sea front the weather was fantastic and if you want to get out and see the island rent a quad only £20 a day now lastly the hotel staff Fantastic cant do enough for you from girls on reception to the lady who cleans room and Dimitrius who works in Thea resturant where we had hotel breakfast every morning and carried your suitcase to your room and served drinks by the pool but a special mention must be to a lady called Vicky who also worked in resturant Thea she worked incredibly long hours but was always smiling polite and a credit to her employers

Easy going , relaxing resort close to the beach, great staff and good food everything you would want in a beach side hotel. Transport to Mykonos right outside your door and boats to other beaches from the jetty. In whole a lovely place to unwind.

Room Tip: Great location
