“Good Hotel worth a stay”
Reviewed 26 August 2014

We recently returned from a 11 day stay in Paradise Park Hotel. This is a good hotel, the food is good with plenty of choice. The housekeeping is good with rooms cleaned daily and clean towels provided daily. The hotel in general is well presented and the various pools are excellent. The weather was wonderful. However we were disappointed with our room as it was in need of refurbishment. We chose a premium salon room however it was only on the last day we realised this was not the room we were allocated and did not match the description in the brochure. Although we are disappointed please do not see this as a negative though as there are some nice rooms, this is the only reason I have not given it a 5 rating. We found all staff helpful and keen to resolve any problems if it arose. We did encounter some problems but these were dealt with promptly. The air conditioning unit leaked water into the wardrobe wetting some of our clothes. When reported to the reception and they were very apologetic and arranged for maintenance to attend. The problem was fixed promptly along with arranging for the clothes to be laundered. In addition when we returned from our day out there was a bottle of wine and plate of pastries/biscuits in the room which was a very nice and unexpected gesture. We would return to stay in the hotel again but be more aware of the room types.

Room Tip: book a more superior room. Some have sea views and views of the pool to the south side of the hotel...

Lovely hotel in great location.
Great pools .
Food and drinks lovely and plenty of selection.
Staff are great with the kids
Had to wear long trousers for evening meal which I wasn't very happy about.
Woul recommend going bed and breakfast because there are great restaurant and bars about that are very cheap.
Would defiantly return .

Anyone thinking of travelling to the Canary Islands, who requires a bit more to do, than simply relaxing on a beach...choose Los Cristianos. From it beautiful harbour and sea front walk to its wonderful bars and restaurants and proximity to the luxurious safari centre for the wealthy shoppers, who like to dine rather upmarket! and and its fantastic beach and golf, this place is a real gem. The resort is in a fantastic location, to admire and enjoy all the above and the standard is simply superb. Los Cristianos is a perfect holiday destination, where the sun shines all year round!

My husband and I stayed in Paradise Park in April 2014 for one week. We were quickly checked in and were allocated a superior room with a pool view. The hotel was very clean and well organised, and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent with plenty of choice at all mealtimes (you could even have sparkling wine for breakfast if desired) They used well known brands of sauces, drinks etc. unlike many other hotels. The first day we used the minibus to go down to Los Cristianos and back just to get our bearings of where exactly the hotel was located, even though we have been to Tenerife a number of times before.(the minibus runs every half hour) We found it a relaxing walk occasionally down to Los Cristianos and then used the bus to come back up again as it is a reasonably steep walk back to the hotel. We used the rooftop sunbed area which was quiet and relaxing with a jacuzzi as well. Both rooftop and ground pool areas always had free sunbeds available which were very comfortable and of a good standard (nothing broken or damaged) and again all areas were kept very clean. This is one of the best hotels we have been to and we certainly intend to return again soon.

We stayed here for two weeks during August as two families plus one set of grandparents. The hotel is in a good location at the top of a hill leading down onto the seafront in Los Cristianos which meant we were the first drop off. We were checked in quickly as we were the only people arriving at this time. However when we got to our room we found that we had to go down some steps which meant we were underground. The room itself was very large and well equipped for a family of four, however, when we opened our doors onto the balcony we found that we were facing a brick wall with a high metal security fence round it and a public foot path beyond. There was also a large shopping centre facing us which meant there was no natural light in the room.We also realised there was no air con in this room which we had booked over twelve months previously. We rang reception and asked to be moved which they said we could after 12 the following day when the guests had vacated. We moved upto the second floor to a much better one bedroomed apartment with air con - the view still of the shopping centre but much better. This was our only negative about the hotel as everything else was brilliant! The food is excellent lots of choice for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You could get snacks at the pool bars such as hotdogs, burgers, salad, bread rolls, cakes etc. However if you wanted a proper meal, you could go to the Sterilitzer restaurant which we did most days where we enjoyed a lovely bottle of sparking wine for lunch! The all inclusive drinks were very good, they even had a lovely Irish Cream that tasted just like Baileys and they gave you huge measures!!! It did say two drinks only at a time, but this depended on who served you. The only gripe we had was that the All Inclusive finished at 11pm which meant people had to 'stockpile' drinks from about 10.45! There was entertainment in the Yaiza Bar but we never went in there as it was quite small and dark with no windows. We stayed in the Sterilitzer bar as you could sit on the terrace overlooking the pool. They did have a singer on most nights which were a bit hit and miss but to be honest as a group of 10 we tended to make our own entertainment!!. The pool areas were great, five pools, two adult only pools. We went to the Atlantida pool across the pathway where you had to use your key card to enter. This was great for our four children as it is a big pool and there was plenty of sun beds. This pool only opens at ten which meant people did queue to get in, however we always managed to get 6 or 8 beds together. The main pool opens at nine, and people were queuing from 8 most days, but this pool was only small and quite cramped. The views from the adult only rooftop pool were fantastic. Men are required to wear long trousers for dinner which I would have no problem with if it weren't for the fact that some women were wearing extremely short denim cut off shorts showing lots of 'bum cheek'! I also saw some football shirts which I personally find more inappropriate than smart shorts for dinner! One of our party was vegetarian and even though there was lots of choice for her, often the meals weren't clearly labelled as vegetarian and we had to ask some days whether the food contained meat or not. The hotel is spotless and well maintained, we even hired pool towels from the spa, of which you got your money back at the end of the holiday provided they got the towels back. You just had to pay 50 Cents to change them. The staff were all very friendly and efficient and we felt very safe letting the children go up to reception in the evening so they could use the free Wifi. All in all we had an excellent holiday and I would certainly return to this hotel. The only reason I haven't given this hotel five stars is because of the room allocation when we arrived. I don't think the 'underground' rooms should be used for families staying in. A suggestion would be to ulitlise these as late check out rooms for people only flying late in the day. It is unfortunate that the large shopping centre has been built in front of the hotel as before this, all the rooms would have had clear views of the sea. The only rooms where you would get a sea view in this hotel are on the top floor of the family block, and the front facing rooms on floor 5 and 6 of the main building - all of which you have to pay extra for. This hotel is great for families with older children not so much babies and toddlers.

Room Tip: For a good view you have to pay extra unfortunately, as most of the rooms are obstructed by a large...

my friend and i came here in august and had a lovely time...the staff were simply fabulous, the rooms were cleaned every day and v clean indeed, had a issue with the safe again the maintenance chap came straight away...absolutely loved this place.

the hotel is on a very steep slope but my friend and i went for a walk everyday after breakfast to recover from the breakfast (food is lovely ) walking up the hill is a walk indeed but we loved it every day :)
the pools cannot be faulted, the top swimming pool is more of a dip pool for the serious sunbathers but the adult pools are fab ...really there is no need to fault this hotel ...you will enjoy it ...ps the paella is delicious :)

Room Tip: pool room is fab

Hotel's facilities are superb, particularly the swimming pools and bathing options - 5 very different pools; assorted Jacuzzis; hydrotherapy pools etc. etc, all free and unlimited use. All have their own sun terraces and there are plenty of beds - if you don't mind which pool you use, you'll always find a sun bed, even late in the afternoon! (Our favourite was the adults only natural pool which was uber warm). One suggestion I would offer is that they make the 'wellness' pool across the lane adults only to really enjoy the hydrotherapy benefits. Entertainment is nightly and varied, some are better than others but all make for pleasant evenings. We were on 'all inclusive' and the food was excellent with lots of choice. The Argentinian Steak House is very good and attached to the hotel but unfortunately hardly any credit is given for HB, FB or AI guests against dining here - that really should be reviewed by the hotel. Rooms were very good, well equipped and spacious (we were in a double superior in the main building and had a nice view over the main pool and roof tops down to the sea). Staff were all very good, especially restaurant staff. One downside to this hotel is that it is a bit claustrophobic - it's on a slight hill and on different levels with high rise buildings all around and in close proximity to the sun terraces and pools (except for lovely roof top pool). It did take a bit of getting used to. Although the hotel claims it's disabled friendly, it's quite complicated as to which exit to use to get to which pool/outside area as they are all on different levels with lots of steps in between. There are slopes in most areas but they wouldn't pass UK standards - some are very steep. Don't miss the big market at the bottom of the main road by the beach - but you may need a taxi to get you back up the hill to the hotel! As long as you're fairly mobile, you'll love this hotel!

Room Tip: Families can request rooms in the south block that are more like apartments.
