We are a family of six, kids from 17 to 3 and we love this place! Going back for the fourth time in the summer because our kids don't want to go anywhere else. Our teenage boys particularly enjoy the football and tennis in the mornings and on going activities throughout the day. Entertainment staff are always fantastic and very friendly to all the kids. The food is really good too, catering for the adventurous or the fussiest child... always fresh and hot and plenty of choice. The apartments had just had a makeover upgrade last year which was great, with an en-suite being added. All the staff in the apartments and Las Dunas are of the highest standard.

These are good quality apartments, definitely value for money. Nice spacious balconies. The resort is very small and quiet overall but really good for young (under 10s) families as there is enough to keep them entertained for the week. The kids club was good and the location was lovely, close to the very nice beach. Great splash pool for young kids also.

Me and wifey Stayed here with my 3 boys aged 8 / 2/ and 1 to be fair we must be mad going away with them but needed a hols? Check in took a while as reception small ! Not great with young kids but not bad, reception are very helpful we had to move rooms but they accommodated to even give me keys to decide which spare one I wanted , then when there was an issue with flies the manager himself investigated and gave us free all inclusive for 5 days as we went self catering , the area is expensive in Santa Thomas and there is only 2 restaurants on the beach to go to so not great if self catering half board or b&b would be recommended to break up the 2 weeks , all inclusive was fine to be fair well organised and nice staff , all in all I would tell friends to visit its great for kids in the splash pool and safe , the lady on reception was heavily pregnant when I went in 2012 but that did not stop her being friendly and helpful.... Get a junior suite in block opposite kids pool with balcony facing the pool it was great to relax knowing kids so young are safe , opposite is the nice beach 10 min walk and bus to Mahon opposite ......just not a lot to do in Santa Thomas and shops overpriced so go shopping in Mahon to stock up , bar staff and grounds people are top people , all in all nice place and trust me I say how it is ....have a nice time and just bring the kids that's what this place is for ,,, if you have older kids stay at the other block away from the splash pool more relaxed and has its own bar if you want to relax why older kids play in the other pools

Room Tip: With kids under 10 stay in mistral without stay in llebige try to get the top floor of the blocks as...

There is nothing I could fault about the accommodation or service at these apartments. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful and remembered names (especially of the children). Staff on the bar were brilliant (particularly Nico) who remembered our drinks and had them ready on the bar as we approached! Restaurant staff were also fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. Food was fantastic and a wide variety. Saturday and Sunday were usually the best food. Excellent value for money.

Swimming pools were kept clean and were warm enough. Perfectly located apartments to walk to the beach. We loved the beach, sea was warm and the sand was super soft and clean. Watch out for the nippy fish! There is a promenade walk that goes the entire length of santo tomas with many parts shaded under trees and children's playgrounds spaced along the length. It makes a lovely walk in the evening.

We went horse riding one day at the stables behind the apartments
Horses were well cared for and we really enjoyed the ride. They do pony rides near the restaurant for children two evenings a week which my son did and loved it. Not bad price either and a longish walk down the promenade.

Entertainment was generally pretty good. The kids disco was loved by the children (not so much the adults) and we felt there was far too much talking and faffing about and not enough dancing. Also they didn't do many classic mini disco songs/dances but lots of newer songs with very complicated moves for younger children to copy.

We paid for all inclusive through Thomson but next time we would book self catering and upgrade on arrival as this would have been cheaper.

Cleaning of the rooms was sporadic at best, we never knew when they were coming or if we would get clean towels. It certainly wasnt every day but if you wanted towels changed reception were happy to do this.

The apartments were recently refurbished and they were gorgeous. Beds very comfortable. Everything clean and tidy. We had 2 bathrooms in our 6 person apartment and a huge balcony overlooking the pool.

Tiny Tom from the entertainment team was brilliant. He got all the children involved and made an effort to speak to them and the adults. We felt coco chanel could have made more effort. It was my birthday while we were there and I got a bottle of bubbly. We also got engaged at the end of our holiday and got another bottle. We felt this place really looked after their guests and many people were repeat visitors. We certainly will be back again.

We stayed here at the very end of the season so most of the hotels in the area were shut, this made the resort very quiet which we loved, the beach was fantastic and felt very safe for our 5 grandchildren aged from 10 to 1 year old.
I was thinking about anything negative to say about this hotel and to be honest I can't , as soon as we arrived I felt that the staff just wanted to give the family a good holiday. We asked if we could have a 3 bed roomed apartment instead of a 2 bed roomed when we checked in, the receptionist checked for us straight away and for an extra 120 euro we were given a 3 bedroom apartment.
The accommodation was first class, large rooms, comfy beds, and spotlessly clean, the large balcony was lovely to sit on to watch the sun go down.
All the children really enjoyed the splash pool and the other pools as well, the grounds are spotless and there are large grassed areas to play with a ball or the like.
The staff really made the holiday. The staff in the restaurant were so friendly and made the children so welcome, they also help us with the children, making sure my 1year old had a high chair brought straight over once we decided where to sit, may seem like a little thing but it was a really helpful for us.
In the past we had stopped going all inclusive as the food was always a disappointment but having 5 grandchildren with us I decided to risk it and I was so glad I did, the food was very good, I never had a piece of meat that did not melt in the mouth, and the range of deserts was excellent, including a chocolate fountain one night. The soup was lovely and with a couple of slices of still warm bread was sometimes all I needed.
The entertainment team never stopped and were a credit to thompson, the kids club staff were also top class, all my grandchildren loved the girls and really enjoyed all the extra sessions, pyjama party and chocolate party being 2 of them.
This hotel is truly a family holiday, will I go back, YES

This was the family’s 3rd visit to Santo Tomas having stayed at the Hotel Victoria Playa just down the road twice before. We know what to expect on this holiday & we weren’t disappointed. We could see that the owners had taken feedback from customers from previous seasons on board & the place was better place for it. We stayed in a two bed apartment on the quieter Llebeig side of the complex, it had been newly refurbished & we couldn’t fault it. The grounds are well tended & the range of swimming pools & play parks ideal for children. We chose to go AI which was good value because we booked early.

We stayed in the middle two weeks of August & if this is as busy as Santo Tomas gets happy days! The sand dune backed beach is only a few minutes’ walk away & is beautiful. As are the coast walks to Son Bou to the east & Bingaus to the west.

Our only criticism would be there is no sense of occasion when you go to eat as the Las Dunas restaurant but the quality of the food more than made up for that. Also you couldn’t get a coffee as part of the AI deal after evening meal over in the restaurant.

The Thomson kids reps were good & kept the children entertained. By the pool there was no obligation to join in any of the daytime activities but they were on offer if you wanted to take part which we did more in our second week there.

All in all – we’d have no problems going back to this resort because it’s so picturesqe & quiet but may need to rethink tactics when the children get older .......

Room Tip: The Llebeig side of the complex is the quiet side.
