We were looking for a quiet, restful week in September to recharge our batteries and chose this hotel based on the reviews here, half board.
Absolutely perfect if you want to spend a few days lying around on a sunbed, reading, walking, swimming in the sea (or in the more bracing pool!) and admiring the stunning view. This is a beautiful stretch of coast, maybe the nicest in Menorca. Really enjoyed the breakfast and evening buffets, Great selection of dishes, well-cooked and nicely presented. Even had a choice of raw milk (my favourite!).The evening entertainment was not great (bar staff were very friendly) but we preferred to walk along the beach, play pool or wander down to the sports bar. There's also a very good bar, with excellent bar food, at the entrance to the town.
The fridge in the room was brilliant. We bought local pate, cheeses and tomatoes to have for lunch on the balcony every day. The local wine is cheap and perfectly drinkable.
The bus service (bus stop outside the hotel) was very good. We hadn't bothered to hire a car but, if you want one, go to Owners Cars, just along the road.
Room and hotel were cleaned to a very high standard (I used to work in a hotel and, trust me, I know!). Had a lovely view over the pool and beach. Balcony on the small side but big enough for the two of us.
Check out what activities are on as you can join in and it's a good way to meet people.
We found the air-con effective.
Tip: make sure you get 2 key cards. If it's very hot, close the blinds and curtains when you go out and leave 1 key card in the slot. This way you can leave the air-con on. The ceiling fan was a nice touch.
Used the gym a few times. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. We had a latish flight back and were told that they would provide towels for free if we wanted to use the facilities and then shower at the gym.
Also, we arrived about 11 at night and a light supper, with a free half bottle of wine, had been laid out for us in the dining room.
The age range was from about 30 up, majority in their 50s-70s, which is not as old as it sounds these days. Would definitely go back, but a week is long enough for me.
If you're buying Mahon gin to take home, it's cheaper at the airport.
