I stayed in this hotel during december for 1 night with my family. The hotel is located in the main street and can be easily located. the front lobby looks fantastic. The checkin process was smooth and staff are generally helpful.
rooms are large and can easily accommodate 3 adults. the decor in bathroom is average. it was clean and nothing to complain about. Car park is inadequate (i parked my car in front of the gate and got a new scratch in next morning).
the hotel is around 3 kms from the beach and front quarters. you can take an auto rickshaw to avoid parking problems.

The biggest negative was the breakfast. i went to the resturant and the south indian fare was pathetic. I left the place with my family with out having the breakfast. if you are looking for good south indian breakfast, visit Adyar Ananda bhavan or Saravana bhavan which is around 2-3 Kms away.

Not sure if i will visit this place again. probably i may stay some where close to the beach/french quarters

Negatives : 1) Toilet attached to the room was in bad shape, with damaged bathtubs.Old WC's with spoiled toilet seat.2) Some of the bed spreads, towels were overused.3) The resturant table cloths and mats were dirty.4) Quality of breakfast was poor and management of floor during breakfast was not upto the mark.5) The front desk staff were not adequately trained while receiving guests or helping them with city details.6) Location of the hotel, perticularly the surrounding was not upto the mark.

The hotel and staff were very good. There were few issues. The shower joint was rusted and when i turned it up, it broke and fell on me badly hurting my lower lip. The pool is very small, but the hotel is centrally located. Food is up to mark for the prices. I would recommend trying the renaissance restaurant instead of the veg buffet.

On Expedia, the rates for this hotel are comparable to others in Puducherry, India. I booked this hotel based on its proximity to downtown Puducherry, and photos posted by the hotel management. The room didn't look like what was posted. Washroom door was worn, and appeared to show mold on the edges. During our stay, we easily heard noises from the hallway in the room. There were noises from construction one floor above, even at 10:47pm. Water in the rooftop pool was not clear; it looked cloudy. The food served from the two restaurants appeared to contain MSG. We stayed in mid December, which is suppose to be the peak season, yet it seemed the hotel was less than 50% occupied. I give credit to the hotel & restaurant staff. They tried to please. That was the saving grace of our stay.

Room Tip: Choose room away from the noisy street

This is an international hotel, yet the "Indian" culture is being well maintained.
Staffs are very helpful and always with a smiling face, and they greet each and everyone in a very humble and sincere manner.
The hotel managers are very helpful, same goes to the receptionist.
Food served here are not bad, with lots of western food variety.
Rooms are clean and very big.
Overall worth of money and time.
Do remember to specify your food to the waiters well, if you don't want certain type of meat, as this is an international hotel.

Though the hotel is far from beach, it is centrally located otherwise. Breakfast is good with south Indian, north Indian dishes. Room is spacious , neat and clean. Rooms are cleaned everyday. The swimming pool is very small.

I have visited last week with my family. Hotel rooms and bathroom was well maintained. Breakfast was not good, all were south Indian items. North Indian food was also not good.
Worst thing was the behavior of the hotel staffs. They charged me Rs 750 as bed sheet got dirty.
Hotel is far from beach. You will get similar hotel with same ambiance near beach with similar price. Online booking (travelguru)was cheaper than booking directly in hotel site or direct entry.
I will not recommend for Annamalai as we have better choice nearby beach

Room Tip: not recomended
