Its not worth the money and sea view that you may get. If you get a clear sea view, then its fine. If you are fine with sub-standard food and cleanliness, they it might be fine with you.
Staff is fine, but at times it might communicating with them might become an issue. Local language constrains.
To cut the long story short, not worth the money they charge.

We stayed in a sea facing room with small balcony and breakfast included, for one night. View from the balcony and the roof top restaurant is very nice. Room is small, but enough for a night. Bathroom extremely basic and not very clean. The breakfast was very poor: basic white toast bread, butter, jam, coffee.. very average/below average. The cantine where they served breakfast was extremely dirty and hot - AC was broken and fans were hardly working. The restaurant on the second floor was cooler, but the table cloths were extremely dirty, hairs and dust all over the tables and chairs. The worst part was when we had a dinner in the rooftop restaurant and ordered, among others, a chicken dish. When we bit into the meat, it was clearly rotten!! In disgust, we sent the chicken back to the cook, who then agreed: it was rotten. Horrible!.. The hotel itself has so much potential - a beautiful property, wonderful location. It is the hotel management that seems to be incapable of running it properly. Sad.

Room Tip: Ok if you are not particular about cleanliness and hygiene of rooms. Take any sea facing room, small...

I called up the hotel for booking inquiry ans was told that rooms are available on my dates and there's no need to make an advance payment. On my check-in date, I made a confirmation call in the morning (i was supposed to reach by late evening) and i was provided with the same status.
On arrival, I was told that no room is available and I was stranded on my first night in an unknown city.

Though a bit late for writing a review on this "business" hotel, think we must warn other regular tourists & couples like me & my wife against this "business" hotel.

Stayed in August 2013 for two nights. Booked a sea-facing room 2 months in advance with Mr Selvaraj, the manager, calling him up 4/5 times before our arrival to inform him about our arrival time & detailed itinerary. Not once did he utter on the conditions applicable.

Reached Pondy bus terminus from Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, by bus around 6am (only night buses are available). On calling up the "business" hotel, a man, with hardly any knowledge of English, could barely manage to communicate that we had to "pay by the hour" till our 12noon check-in over & above Rs 3500 (with no breakfast), which is quite costly in a town like Pondy. No amount of reasoning helped. The hotel had no boys for room service. The night guard carried our two pieces of heavy luggage to our 2nd floor sea-facing cramped room with a personal balcony & a outdated boxy TV with only TAMIL channels (remember we are talking about Pondy, a place famous for Aurobindo Ashram frequented by Indians from across the country & international travellers) literally hanging from a rusty wall bracket!!

Later, the two women sweepers cleaned our room & bed linen. No room service was available. The expiry date on the complimentary mineral water bottle was over. We had to have breakfast/tea/snacks at the ground floor café, where this woman with poor knowledge of English had no change every time we went there & had to run to Selvaraj for help. No lobby, no proper reception.

The view from the rooftop restaurant (3rd floor) was again awesome but we, as a couple, felt unsafe with stags & noisy groups of men!!! So, on the 2nd night, we decided to have dinner at the restaurant, where the food was average but pricey.

While checking out, we were forced to pay in cash (they just won't accept credit/debit cards), forcing me to run 300 metres north down Goubert Avenue to the nearest ATM. And the most horrendous thing was at the end, Selvaraj ordered the sweeper woman to carry down our heavy strolleys two floors! My wife & I were felt embarassed to bits!! Best I could do was tip her!

happened to stay in the hotel for one night- thankfully. service is really poor. front office staff is absent most of the times. there is none to take care of your needs. The hotel has excellent sea view but lacks basic amenities. It is difficult to get even a cup of coffee thru room service. One can always look for other options to get the sea view.

We went to Pondicherry on last weekend of 2013, and got this hotel by chance as the one which we booked was full. Starnge but true. So we started searching about hotels on internet and when we called this hotel, they said just because of recent cancellation there is room available. So we went and reserved the room. So there was no pre-research about this hotel, as we just happen to stay here because of circumstances, But actually this came out to be really good deal.

This is a good hotel with amazing Sea view, however the Service is Bad. If we talk about Quality of room, it is nice, everything neat and clean and well placed. Every room has it own private balcony facing Sea. The moment you step in the balcony, you feel like the money is spent was worth. The room rent includes breakfast complementary.
Coming on Food, it is excellent, me being a north Indian liked the food. They have good variety and they are good even the breakfast as well. And at affordable cost.

I haven't tested the TV & Fridge, as there was no need, I went there to enjoy the beaches and not the TV or Hotel room.

The only bad thing about this hotel is the Service, they take time if you have placed an order. Other wise the hotel is good and worth. So if you are staying at this hotel, do not have any expectations with the Service, otherwise you will love this hotel as its food is good, view is awesome.

Room Tip: Do not expect much with Service. Set low expectations. Rest you will enjoy the stay, view & food...
