We stayed at the Denzong Regency for 3 nights during our holiday to Gangtok. The hotel is a WelcomHeritage property and we had very lofty expectations of the place. We chose this ahead of Mayfair Gangtok (which was more expensive and much more distant) and even Club Mahindra (which is also very far). The central MG road is about 60 rupees by cab from here, and about a 10 minute drive. The Regency Suite room we stayed was comfortable and of a 3 star standard along with a bath tub and an LCD TV. Our kids had a blast since the room is at split levels. There weren't many activities to do for the kids though. The rooms have a good panoramic view of Gangtok. the only grudge was that the food was quite average. The breakfast spread was limited, and never replenished in time. The dinner which was part of the MAP plan too was just about ok. All in all, a comfrtable but not spectacular place.
