This is the 2nd time I have visited Shantiniketan Tourist lodge. Travelled with Family with 5 years old kid. Quite unexpected kind of service from this Govt property. Stuffs are supportive.. 5/5 on Stuff Behavior, Room Cleanness and Location. Food are also good, though bit expensive. Only improvement can be done on decorating the huge area. Viswabharathi is just 10-15 min though Rickshow / Toto. Highly recommended for friend, who are looking for a weekend holiday at Shantiniketan.

This property is owned by the State Government and has its obvious pros and cons. The highlight would be the sprawling campus with cottages and gardens. Good traditional Bengali food. Staff is courteous & attentive. The downside is infrastructure needs a makeover..

The West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation hotels and resorts are in itself a place for attraction. The properties are usually located adjacent to the tourist attraction places and is built within a huge area.
The hotels provide you with a very convenient accommodation facilities at very good rates as compared to other hotels in the vicinity. The food here is very homely and hygienic and cannot be compared to the food served at specialty restaurants. The overall stay experience here was very good.
Giving 5 stars to the property.

This property is by far the best place to stay in Shantiniketan. Although a Govt run property, still the services rendered are phenomenal. The safety & security is also superb. The rooms are huge in size & there is a big ground at the back of the Hotel in which one can spend time in the evening. With greenaries all around, it is a nice weekend break. The food here is also very good in this place. All the major places of attraction are nearby only.

Stayed in this lodge with my family for 3 days. Check in to the hotel was very smooth. We reached there around 1.15pm before check in we wanted to have lunch and it was ready. Rooms are very good and clean. Room service is very good. Lots of places to walk inside , there is a small park were children's can enjoy. Food is also good. From here I went to Tarapit and on the way visited Bhadeshwar. They helped me to book a car, rate was also ok.

Room tip: I like the cottage room.
