9 Of us met here for Sunday lunch. Staff were not very attentive and a couple of times failed to bring drinks from the bar.
food was average - pork had too much fat - and not enough veg. desert was nice to be fair - but nowt special.
The bill - for 9 was just shy of £250 - for a very mediocre Sunday lunch (no wine) - draw your own conclusions........

“Lovely, lovely venue”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

This is such a lovely pub and dining room. Menu is gorgeous, we have been here 3 times over the last couple of months and each time is as good as the one before. Staff are incredibly professional, service is just superb and food is of such a high standard it's just lovely. Would recommend this for families and couples and the nice thing about it, it is still a local pub for the village to drink. I can't praise it enough and so glad it's nearly our local.

“Great good in gorgeous gardens”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 via mobile

This village pub has had a recent facelift and the external terraces and paved pagodas would not have looked out of place in the south of France on this summers evening.
We were encouraged to take our choice of seat and the newly chalked notice boards suggested we could order drinks from the bar and then someone would take our order for food from the table. Despite the notice it was a little confusing as to whether we would be served at the table so after a 20 minute wait we ordered at he bar.

The food which arrive after around a 40 minute wait was excellent, freshly prepared and very good quality. My steak was perfectly prepared and all accompaniments were fresh and well prepared and presented. The lamb and mint burger was freshly made and beautifully cooked and the chips were delightful. We were too full to order dessert but there was ample choice if we were to have done so.
Just a few tweaks in the service like making it clear how you will be served and that food is freshly prepared so may take a while would gave made this an excellent eatery.

“Fantastic food in a great Brasserie”
Reviewed 29 July 2014 via mobile

We had a great experience on sunday just gone. We met some friends and headed over to the Inn and Brasserie which was very busy but we managed to get a table and ordered food. We had the Red Mullet and the Beef, Fantastic. Although very busy you managed to serve great food and kept the drinks coming. Many thanks. B
