Just got back from our third visit to this hotel. It's a great hotel in a good position to the beach. The hotel is very clean & our room was cleaned thoroughly every day.The food was good & always hot.Our room was on the ground floor & opened out onto the pool area. The snacks at lunchtime were huge & very good prices. The staff were all very friendly & nothing was too much trouble.
This is a quiet hotel & and it was great not being pestered by entertainment staff during the day to join in some game or other. The three evenings of entertainment were good
Punta prima is a small quiet resort with a lovely beach. We will definitely go again.

Room Tip: rooms 01-12 are on the ground floor overlooking the pool

We arrived at the hotel xaloc playa on the friday morning from stansted, our room was not quite ready so we were told to see feran for coffee and pastries which was welcome having been up all night. Our room was on ground floor overlooking the pool, very nice and quiet if a little small but then again you only need it to sleep in, the staff in this hotel are excellent and everything is cleaned on a daily basis, the pool is very warm and there are plenty of sunbeds, unfortunatly it seems some people cant read as it clearly states "no reserving of sunbeds" but from about 0630hrs onwards out come the towels i found this quite amusing if not a little childish! The food is very good and there is always something for everybody, i figured out that each night you could have a choice of around 10 different meals, be warned though, people start queueing before the doors open & some of our european counterparts seem to find it acceptable to push and shove to get what they want first. ( you know which country i mean) The beach is just across the road and its lovely as is the crystal clear sea, but again it gets very busy ehere again you may encounter much rudeness from the same europeans that like to push in at mealtimes, there are 7 restaurants in the small town of which the best is can santi, all in all a great place and if we the sort of travellers that return to the same place then i would not hesitate, by the way bring a travel kettle and european plug adaptor and your hiliday will be complete, hope you find this helpfull.

Very nice Hotel, close to the beach in this quiet Menorcan Resort. Rooms were spacious if a little basic, kept very clean and we had a garden aspect and close to the main facilities. The staff were very helpful, particularly the waiters and bar staff. The food was adequate if a bit repetitive and we would have preferred a better quality of main course , but I suppose you get what you pay for. The beach was clean and very safe for small children. quite a walk out to get any depth to swim properly..
Only real down side was that the bed was hard and had little give in it.

A quiet resort so if you want rest and relaxation then this is the place to be.

This was our second visit to this hotel and it was just as good as the first. We were greeted like friends when we arrived, and were shown to our room. The room was a good size, very clean and from the balcony you could see the sandy beach and the sea across the way. In the dining room, the food was very good with plenty of choice, which should suit everyone and the staff were very kind and helpful. The lounge was very nice and there was entertainment every other night . The bar was kept busy but Gaston, Feron and Charlie made sure it ran like clockwork.
Rosanna too was very good. The swimming pool was a bit cold, but I managed to swim most days, followed by a relax on one of the many sunbeds. The whole holiday was a great relaxing experience, which suited us well. P.S. Not forgetting Monika and Sandy on reception who were great once again.

Offered at the last minute with Thomas Cook, was more than happy to book a 3nt HB break
after a quick look here. Honest reviews of a friendly laid back little gem of a hotel.
After an early morning flight and very quick transfer, Sandy at reception checked us in then introduced us to Ferran in the dining room, who offered complimentary tea coffee & pastries. we were happy to wait at the bar while our room was being prepared. A welcoming gesture that was gratefully received.. Big hotels take note...it's the little things that make a big first impression..

The first floor room over looking the pool & bar was spotlessly clean, simple and basic and the tightly tucked blankets were a bonus as it was still chilly at night. Best selling holiday reads were placed on the sideboard at the top of the stairs, nice touch for taking down to the poolside..
Lounging by the garden pool was peaceful as the bar staffs choice of music was tastefully relaxing and complimented the bird chorus....although didn't swim as the pool was just a bit too cold to take a dip! No problem though as the beautiful white sandy beach was just across the way.

The Xaloc takes prime position along this tiny little bay & a walk along the promenade takes all of 3 mins! perfect for a long weekend break as there is nothing to do except rest & relax. Unless you hire Nordic sticks from reception, don a fleece & walking shoes to head off in either direction along the coastal bridleway which many early risers did....

An unexpected Sunday downpour brought the reception lounge alive as the weekend residents sheltered from the rain.... Not a problem as the reception had a library & games cupboard and a wet morning soon passed playing backgammon.

The dining room staff are lovely and super efficient clearing tables from the many plates of buffet... Olives, salads soup fish meats & a veggie dish were offered everyday and a glass of local herbias at the bar was the perfect digestif..... Bar prices were comparatively cheaper than the local Anchor pub just around the corner.......

The Xaloc playa ticked every box for a weekend away from the british weather... Punta Prima is a jewel of a "resort" & the lovely staff and location means the XalocPlaya joins the "Will be back" list..

A little unexpected treasure was sitting up at the lighthouse lookout point (2mins walk) after dark and looking up to a nightsky of a thousand stars....

Very welcoming and friendly. Exceptionally clean, food excellent with lots of choice, rooms a good size with a balcony overlooking the pool and a good power shower. Pool cold but clean and well maintained. Entertainment 3 nights a week at present which was very good. We were very comfortable there and are planning to go back.

Room Tip: If you have walking problems request rooms on the ground floor as there is no lift and two flights o...
