“Amazing Place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 October 2013

We stayed in room 60 which was a 2 bed apartment on the first floor. The apartment was spotless and was cleaned every day. Our room overlooked the smaller pool and guess what, no towels on sun beds! We actually got up at a leisurely pace and wandered down about 10ish and low and behold there were free sun beds and brollys right beside an exceptionally clean pool that got checked at least twice a day! If however we wanted the beach/restaurants we only had to walk at most 2 minutes and that was if u were crawling! The beach was excellent we have a 10yr old and absolutely loved the place! Onto food, about 8 restaurants sounds small but didn't feel it as was a lovely friendly atmosphere and great with kids my daughter just asked for half portions of anything on the menu and loved the monk fish and prawn kebabs! Minolos was fab we didn't really eat desert in the restaurant as we took a walk to the home made ice cream parlour which was lovely! Very easy to get to places as u can just jump on a bus be warned thou they get seriously crowded! All in all am actually struggling this year to find somewhere as good as the whole family had a cracking time!

We were pleasantly surprised by the Primasud Apartments - the apartments themselves were fairly basic but clean and tidy and the complex itself was lovely, with pretty landscaping and views down over Punta Prima and the sea. We were in apartment 33 - ground level with a nice patio area overlooking the pool but far enough away from the bar to feel private. The pool itself is very nice - large enough for a good swim and we often had it all to ourselves. The whole complex was fairly quiet but with enough couples and young families so that it didn't feel deserted.

The reception staff were extremely helpful and polite when we needed a taxi booked. The bar/kitchen was only opening for limited hours in late September (9am-5pm) and the food wasn't particularly exciting but good for a cold beer or an ice cream on a hot afternoon. The complex is only a short walk into town (make sure you use the exit behind the bar rather than leaving via reception or it's a longer and steeper walk!) where there are several good restaurants - we'd recommend Ca'n Santi, where we had two fantastic meals.

On the downside, like a number of other reviews here, we did find the beds at Primasud extremely uncomfortable. Fine for a short stay like ours but you probably wouldn't want to sleep in them for much longer. We also found the noise from the apartment above us quite annoying - high heels walking across the hard floor, loud voices and scraping chairs, all late at night and in the early hours. Our friend stayed in a neighbouring apartment and didn't have this problem so I think we were just unlucky with some noisy upstairs neighbours!

Overall, we were very pleased with our holiday - especially the price, which was very reasonable. We'd consider staying at Primasud again but not for longer than a week.

Very friendly self catering apartments, only two floors, quiet, select area of Punta Prima. Locals very accommodating. Apartments clean, maid service regular, cooking facilities very poor. Bed linen clean but did not,fit the bed!!! Table tennis, pool, swimming pools, keep kids busy. Hiring a car is a must, Menorca is full,of bays, beaches, scuba diving, these will make, your holiday.

Room Tip: Ground floor apartments have immediate access to pools, great for kids running back and forth.

Cheap and cheerful accommodation in lovely, quiet resort.

Rooms rather basic, but fine for a weeks stay and great value for money.

Pool is excellent. Large and never crowded with peaceful, polite guests. Large proportion of guest were Spanish which gave the place an international feel.

Really pleased with accommodation having read reviews about how basic it was. Decent size and clean with everything we might need. Good location, close to beach, shops and restaurants. Large pool clean and always managed to get a sunbed - didn't try smaller pool. Would definitely visit again.

Just returned from from a short stay in Menorca, we stayed 3 nights and had business to attend to, whilst the reception staff were extremely helpfull the bar staff were bordering on rude (in perticular the guy with the pony tail) the apartment we had was scruffy worn out but clean, my major concern were the beds! I have never been so uncomftable in my life and the others were the same, Ive been back for a few days and my back is still playing up! Having said all of this if you look at what I paid for the short stay I can't really complain, you get what you pay for and if you want to be treated like your important and don't want to suffer with a bad back don't be tight like I was and book yourself somewhere luxurious

We have Just arrived back after a week here with 2 children ages 9 and 11... overall very Nice complex... very quiet with mainly families and couples. Pool and pool area was lovely and clean...lots of loungers etc. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good English spoken. Only complaint really was uncomfortable beds... 5 min walk from beach which was Nice an small selection of restaurants and shops. Menorca is a lovely beautiful island and Punta Prima was lovely. Head to cala torrell and Binibequer on the local train ride which is 7 euros return... great little ride. Overall very relaxing holiday.
