“A lovely place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

We stayed here for a week to celebrate our Silver Wedding. I cannot fault the staff they are so friendly and helpful. You are greeted with a drink when you get there and smiling receptionists.
The rooms are just as you would expect in Greece. The beds are a bit hard but that is no problem really I am just trying to give an honest review.
The food is lovely and there is always a good variety and the trays are always being topped up. I never had a meal which I didn't like and I can be a bit picky!
The entertainment team work really hard and although some of the games were not really up our street we joined in with others, and its hard to please everybody. The Greek dancers were fantastic and we have seen many over the last 20 years but have to say these were by far the best!
On the night of our Anniversary the staff presented us with with a cake and a bottle of bubbly and that was a lovely touch.
The only downside was some of the guests!! there was a large group of about 30 who wanted to sit together every meal, they moved peoples things and took over the restaurant, one even snapped their fingers at one of the girls clearing the tables! but the staff kept calm and tried to
accommodate their every wish so hats off to them,I am not sure I would have been so patient! We had a lovely time and met some lovely people and although we don't normally do 'all inclusive' I would have no problem recommending the Diana Palace to all our friends.

Room Tip: We stayed in 303 which overlooked the pool. Some people said it was noisy but it never kept us awake...

Coming back at the end of August, and I can't wait. It's such a relaxing hotel, with wonderful staff, who make the holiday extra special. I loved it so much last year, that I booked to return as soon as I was back in the UK. I have also just booked to go in 2015, and not had my holiday there this year yet!! It's such a comfortable, safe place to be. Great food, drink, entertainment, hotel rooms...everything you could want and need. See you all very soon. The weeks can't go by quick enough. Best wishes to you all.xx

We have just spent a week at Diana Palace as part of a group meeting up for a birthday celebration. We had never been here before but one of our party had and so we knew that the hotel had a good reputation. The Hotel proved to be very good value for money. As other reviewers have said the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful. They worked very hard and remembered people, the bar staff would remember your choice of drinks etc

We had lovely rooms in a great position although we can see that rooms and views may well vary a bit. The room was spotless and serviced every day.
The restaurant was well run by Dennis who kept things moving. The Food was very good given the cost of the holiday package for an all exclusive. Plenty of choice and easy to eat healthily if you want to with a very good salad bar. For those with a sweet tooth there were excellent cakes and puddings all made on the premises. Quite a lot of seasonal food and the olive oil was provided through the hotels own farm which was a nice touch. There were themed. There was a terrific choice for breakfast including hot food which varied day to day – also all the usual cereals and continental breakfast options The lead Chef – another Denis was friendly and visible and did us a lovely special meal for our friends birthday. The Hotel provided a Birthday Cake.

The wine was also produced by the hotels own farm, possibly a little too rustic but was improved by adding water or soda. Plenty of choice of other drinks, although as is often the case overseas the choice of sugar free was limited to coke or Soda water. The pool was a really good size and lovely and clean as was the whole facility. There is a second shallow pool for children with a spate family sun area aw from the main pool The Animation crew and all the various activities were part of the package. Whilst they may not all be everyone’s cup of tea there were always some activities everyone could take part in particularly if the weather is not great. The staff were lovely. The evening entertainment area was a little soulless but in the warmer evenings there was an out door area and the interior would be air conditioned. Again all part of the package.

A special mention for the reception staff who all appeared to go by the name Katarina – they made sure our party were all together, organised a bottle of fiz on arrival for the member of our party who had a birthday, and sorted out arrangements for the special birthday meal we had requested. They also went out of their way to sort out a hire mini bus for us with a driver who spoke English – we struck gold with Ionian Transport and Martin our Welsh drive – ( who had lived on the island for years and was married to a local so knew the place inside out) The cost was great value but we appreciate that this would be more difficult in the height of the summer when the transport would be in full use for wider tourist travel. We had a great day out and Martin was very helpful.

Also a special mention for Diana who came over after her reception stint from the Floxena ( a sister hotel) to do a pedicure as their local girl was booked up. Diana did the best pedicure I have ever had and I highly recommend her.

The hotel has a small fitness centre which was great, although it was a little tired and mainly weights, The bike and running machine will probably need updating soon. Never the less they do have the facility which many hotels of this type would not have.

The resort itself is a typical small Greek Resort, with tourist shops and bars, there is a nice beach bar at the Beach The Mimosa – lots of friendly people. There is a lovely pottery on the edge of the resort towards Zante town a very girl runs her own business and makes all the posts which are a little different. There is not a lot else in Argassi but you can walk into Zante Town in a little over half an hour or get a bus or the road train where there is more upmarket shopping and lots of bars and restaurants.

All in all a great holiday value for money and would be great for families.

Room Tip: Overlooking the main pool

Hello rewelpeople!

Thank you so much for taking the time to add your review on Diana Palace hotel and for choosing to share your wonderful memories along with the rest of us here.

Well, first of all, I must say that your review made me laugh because as you have correctly said our reception desk has two Katerina’s. I am the third Katerina running things in the back office and there is another Katerina down at the restaurant! Well, that can be very confusing as in total we are 4 Katerinas! LoL

As for your kind feedback all I can say is a very big thank you for your kind comments on our staff and for giving them such a praise on their work and character. That includes old and new coming staff who directly they became a part of our family and we are very proud to have them here with us. Your comments are very much appreciated.

We would also like to say thank you for giving such a detail to your review as this will help other guests wishing to visit us and your advice in many aspects will be for sure very handy. Thank you for serving the purpose of Trip Advisor properly and for being helpful!

With regards to our mini gym I would like to apologize if it looks tiring. Indeed some of the machinery needs replacement and for next year our plans include moving the gym into a bigger space and replacing many parts of our equipment. We are sorry if our gym did not serve its purpose the way you expected and I hope that you got the chance to do some basic exercise during your holidays.

On behalf of all the staff and the family, I would like to say that it will make us very happy to see you back again in our home for another great holiday under the sun away from all worries. Our staff will be here once more to greet you back with a smile from the heart.

Until then, have a wonderful time back home and always have fun! Sending love from all..xxx

This was our 7th visit to Argassi in the last 15 years and by far the best hotel we have stayed at. From the minute we arrived at reception to leaving, the staff could not do enough to make our holiday memorable. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The bar staff remembered our names and preferred drinks, the restaurant staff were friendly and efficient. The meals were high quality with plenty of choice and the chef cooked some meals while you waited, eg. bacon and eggs for breakfast and pasta one dinner time. We needed to borrow an electric extension lead, which was provided free of charge. The room was a good size, overlooking the pool and spotlessly clean, in fact the whole hotel was immaculate. The gardens were attractive and the 2 pools a good size. The entertainment staff worked hard to involve everyone and the evening shows were varied. We would recommend The Diana Palace to anyone, and would like to return there next year ourselves.

Room Tip: Room 302 was near the lift and overlooking the pool.

Just got back from Diana Palace Hotel in Argassi Greece, and after reading previous reviews thought it was too good to be true, well it was better than that. On arrival was greeted with such friendliness and being a family run hotel it showed in the caring attitude towards everyone. We saw people who had been previously being remembered by staff and hugged just like a family would do. Stathis in the pool bar remembered you and your drink order. English was well spoken so no language barrier, the whole resort was safe and friendly. I had taken coffee with me for the room and found we had no kettle, asked at reception and within a few hours, housekeeping had delivered with cups and saucers and spoons etc. This hotel is amazing, friendly, clean, and every single guest was friendly and you could just sit with people and chat without even knowing them, the animation was great and you must join in, it is fab. We will be returning again very soon and a BIG thank you to everyone and we miss you...YAMAS!!!

Great if your into all inclusive combined with packed pool area darts bingo constant mundane music and the occupants eating and drinking as much as they can. Your witness occupants ordering multiple drinks at at a time so they get their quota.. Not for us but others will love it there..

Hello Mr Green

Thank you very much for adding your review on Diana Palace hotel and for choosing to share your personal thoughts with us.

With regards to your comments I would like to inform you that our home is open for all kind of guests with different tastes and needs. Relaxation for an individual may mean, drinking, reading, taking part in activities and so forth.

We, as a family hotel, respect every kind of taste and we are always here to serve our guests with their requests, even if this means ordering multiple drinks. Our presence here on TA is to listen to our guests’ advice and comments so as to improve our selves, always based on their needs and standards.

Our philosophy is not to make any offensive comments on how our guests spend their time during their holidays, especially in a hotel where the percentage of our repeater guests is very high and we all consider them as a part of our family which is giving us a big honor.

We are very frustrated that you did not have the chance to be a part of this big family in Filoxenia. Thank you very much for taking the time to go through our response. We wish you have a pleasant time back home.
