“Fabulous Villa”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We were a party of 7 and this villa was spacious and comfortable for everyone. It was clean and well equipped. Great pool and beautiful views. WiFi was an added bonus! We didn't hire a car as it was not necessary - everything was within walking distance. Brilliant holiday!

“stunning views, smart resort and idyllic beach”

We stayed at Villa Carrer Bella Mirrada for almost 2 weeks during a Menorcan heatwave this July. The villa is well equipped with a lovely pool that is gently warmed throughout the day and plenty of sun-loungers to soak up the Menorcan sunshine. The view is stunning, taking in the villas and apartments below across the green nature reserve, over sand-dunes and culminating in the turquoise sea. There is a large dining set outside on the veranda around which we had many great lunches accompanied by games of Uno and Dobble! There is a great BBQ which we used several times and then appreciated the slow setting sun and vistas. The villa is ideally located just around 20 mins drive from the airport and in a brilliant position to explore the entire island. We ventured out to Es Castell and were lucky enough to stumble upon their Saints' Fiesta weekend with the fantastic black Menorquin horses, beautifully attired in their fiesta finest and dancing down narrow streets strewn with sugarbeet canes and colourful bunting, on hind legs and tip-hoofs. We spent a day on Cala En Porter beach, mucking around in the very shallow waters in a pedalo with slide and also a morning and lazy lunchtime, wandering around the shops and the port in Ciutudella. We met friends in Cala Galdana for an amazing dinner in one of the local restaurants where we shared a beautifully fresh sea-bream but the best fun we had as a family was on the Wipit inflatables on our very own Son Bou beach. We had some great dinners out in Son Bou too - we found Alessandro's the best for pizza and the bakery was great for fresh pain au chocolat, crossaints and crusty baguettes. We had dinner and lunch in a few of the sand-dune backed restaurants - all great meals. We are planning to return in 2016.
