We stayed in a “comfort garden room” which was peaceful and elegant.
We were treated to beautiful views of the garden which is worth walking round, just to admire the David Austen roses and 1930’s feel.
The bed was cool and very comfortable. The shower just right. The whole hotel has artfully placed books and vases, paintings and furniture. The banister ( the original) stripped back and very tactile.
Others have said it all, lovely breakfast and fantastic location with private parking.
We felt thoroughly spoilt and would happily have paid more for our room.
We look forward to returning one day. Thank you.

Room Tip: I’m sure all rooms would be nice. Ours was a Comfort Garden Room

My husband and i stayed for 2 nights in this recently refurbished hotel. It is so Pretty with great attention to detail and beautiful decor and gardens.Philipe is warm amd welcoming and very helpful.E love St Pol and the area and have been coming here for over 20 years and this hotel is a great addition to the place. Our room was to the front of the hotel with a view of the church. Very quiet and lots of bird song. The bed was comfy with lovely linen and comfy pillows. It is nice to be able to park and wander around and enjoy the many restaurants and bars ,A great location right in the centre yet a little oasis of peace. The breakfast was very nice and no shortage of food.I would highly reccomended the Hotel de France an will definitely return in the future.

We really enjoyed two noghts at this splendid hotel. The owner could not have been kinder or more helpful and attentive. Our "Comfort" room overlooked the beautiful garden and was quiet, very clean, newly fitted and decorated. The bed was big, very comfortable and provided with plenty of comfortable pillows and cushions. The bathroom was well appointed with a walk-in shower, plenty of hot water and lovely big fluffy towels. Breakfast was real value for a French hotel with a wide choice and great croissants. Secure car parking in the grounds is a bonus. We are intent on returning to this great exstablishment. Thank you.

Room Tip: Room 110 is very quiet as it as the end of the hotel and has a lovely outlook over the gardens.

Very welcoming professional owners. The hotel was immaculate and had been converted a year ago. Our room overlooked the lovely garden. It was quite small but the bedding was excellent and the bed comfortable. There was a good choice at breakfast, all beautifully laid out and excellent quality.

Room Tip: We enjoyed looking out over the garden but I would guess that the rooms at the front would also be good.
