Very strange to find, in the middle of nowhere, a hugh hotel, all in wood inside, with an olympic swimmingpool.the rooms are spacious, the staff helpfull. The food however is still in the Russian regime.
The wellness has a sauna, turkish bath etc
The trip from Dubrovnic to Kolacin by car is an adventure, but Kolacin itself is not worth visiting, unless you want to see how people live in poor conditions.
Go visting the lake nearby, and have some fish in the local restaurant.

We stayed at Bianca in late June - no doubt not it's best season and it was not very full. We were there to visit the Biogradska National Park, for which it was well situated, and our comfortable junior suite and excellent indoor pool met our needs well. The weather wasn't hot (20-25 by day and down to 10 degrees or so at night) so an open window was more than adequate to keep the room cool.

Although at its peak Bianca has numerous cafes and restaurants, the only option in June for dinner was a buffet in a rather empty and soulless dining room: good value at 15 euros, but unexciting, and we much preferred dinner at the quirky traditional restaurant Konoba kod Rada at the other end of the town squares. Breakfast was better (choose the tomato juice, not the machine's "squash" and don't expect much of the tea and coffee). Service was rather reluctant at times.

So all in all, comfortable, good value for money, and good for a trip to the lovely Biogradska National Park, but let the scenery rather than the hotel wow you.

Room Tip: Free wifi in the foyer, but fortuitously our room on the 1st floor was close enough to get the signal!

The location and first impression is good. The hotel is centrally positioned and is possibly at it's best during Ski Season as this is what it was designed for with a nice ambiance and quirky fixtures and fittings. We stayed mid June but it was practically empty. Staff were bored but tried to look happy. Rooms a bit dated. We had room 308 which had a nice view to the mountains but you had to have the window open all the time as there is no Air Conditioning in the building. Unfortunately the windows do not fully open so there is no circulation. Additionally the kitchen extraction boots up about 06.30 daily so if you have the window open (which is a must) you get an early morning awakening! Food. Breakfast has a good selection but fruit juice is not fresh a kind of dilute concentrate from a machine as is the coffee. Dinner was included and again a good selection but spoilt by the hot buffet being Luke warm. This could be easily resolved by batch cooking and easily done in summer due to less guests. Pool area nice although outdoor pool not open as under maintenance. Probably would not return and should reduce its star rating during summer.

I stayed in this hotel a couple of times, unfortunately only for short business trips so I haven´t got enough time to enjoy fully its wellness amenities which looks to be its main attraction. Above all, this hotel is really nice inside from the design point of view, from the lobby to rooms or corridors. In its restaurant you could také the brunch diner, also the breakfast is fine with a vast selection.
The staff is very pleasant, able to help you with various issues.
The only thing I found a little bit annoying is the fact that there is no free Wi-Fi in rooms, for a free Wi-Fi you must go to the lobby. However this hotel is for relaxing so this shouldn´t be considered as a big problem.

Pros: There is definitely a lodge feeling to this property, cozy, natural, log-house feeling. Even in the spring they had a nice fire going in the lobby. It's a little outdated in design, but the place was clean and very comfortable, great sheets and beds, spacious bathroom, quaint honeycomb windows. Excellent selection of food at the buffet dinner - just about something for every taste. Best feature by far is the sauna, the use of which is included in your stay. Robes are available for the asking, and there is a huge pool (really - huge, with nice lounge chairs all around it) , a kids pool and a hot tub in the pool area. Perfect place to unwind. Walking distance to downtown, its little cafes and supermarkets.

Cons: Horrible vending machine coffee in the mornings, but small price to pay for other comforts. Free internet in the lobby only.
